however most scales, even the aws 501 sees it as 1:1

Ohaus scales is what I have, they go to the.0001g and will call it like it is..
most do not have the kind of money it takes to pick up one of those.. I bought mine from the lab I worked for.. :)

most flavors follow the pg base as well.. I do not think she is referring to base, just the flavors and how to make them larger or smaller..

Yes, but that is helpful though.. Because I am using zero nicotine right now but think my next batch maybe just 1%.

Well, I had started smoking when I was 17 and quit when I was 21-but a very stressful job with a boss that was especially and asshole , about 13 years later, had me bumming cigarettes from people in the warehouse that were outside smoking.. but I did not want to start again at all, and happened to be in a gas station that had a display of vaporizers.. and I asked what they were.

It must have been fate or something.. because the guy from Pepsi was delivering, and he told me where to go for good Vape supplies.. and I've been vaping every since.

yes 1 gram = 1ml

or .5g = .5ml

great, isn't it? ;)

It drove my son insane, when he started vaping. I kept trying to explain nicotine strength to him, the "mg per ml" and his eyes would cross -- and he's good at math! I think he finally just accepted that he might not ever understand it, but it is what it is. :D

Not really much diff between 1% and 12mg -- 1% is 10mg; 12mg is 1.2%

Andria

ETA -- @dez -- if you're not used to nicotine, I think 1% or 10mg is probably too much for you, and may make you nauseated/dizzy. You might want to keep it under 3mg -- or .3%.

Nice catch. I was thinking the same about the strength

Actually, he is right. It does not make sense. Unless there is 100mg in each milliliter of nicotine , then it does not make sense.
The way they put it on the bottle does not make sense- and I worked in purchasing for over 10 years, doing all kinds of different contortions with different numbers and fractions and decimals and figuring margins and markup, and I can tell you it doesn't make sense. -I just had to accept it and go with it.

Actually I don't know if it was a percentage, I just put it in the app where it asked nicotine strength, so it was probably not a percent.
I just entered a 1 on a couple of ejuices that I made a minute ago and still have to adjust , and a 2 on the one shot from liquid Barn called Quik.

A while back I was vaping 6.. and then cut down and mixed a couple of bottles of 6 and 0.. and then ended up having 2 Nic.. and then 0. I just thought I might want a little for taste for the two flavors I just mixed, but they are not my ADV. @AndriaD @MrMeowgi

So did I do it right?

Actually, for VG, 1 ml weighs more than one gram.. at least it does on the ELR app..

You will find that with all the ingredients if you check the Data Sheets. Close but not exact so if not using the specific gravity exactly how is mixing by weight more accurate? Again just my humble opinion................

Sure it makes sense -- the mg refers to the concentration, and yes, it IS 100mg per ml, that's the kind of nicotine I buy. When I finish my mixing, my ejuice is 4.5mg/ml -- 4.5mg in each ml!

It appears you did it right, but that "1" and "6" are NOT percents; they are "1mg/ml" and "6mg/ml", which is the same as .1% per ml and .6% per ml.

What I saw was 100 ml / ml , and that did not make sense to me. 100 mg / ml does make sense. And you are right- I just looked at my nicotine, it does say mg / ml. Makes sense.

Explain it to your son this way, every pill that he will take of medicine has so many milligrams in it like an Advil is 200mg, tell him to imagine 50 of those liquefied in mL of water and that is how it works. Liquid nicotine, like a 100 milligram pill made out of nicotine, liquefied and put into however many milligrams of the base.

I think I did finally try to explain it to him along those lines, but he continued giving me a blank look. He finally just shut up about it and gave me the typical response of kids (he's nearly 31!) to parents: WHATEVER! :giggle:
