Vape Wild Nutrasweet Aftertaste?

I bought the Welcome 4 pack from Vape Wild a couple weeks back, and initially was excited because all four juices I picked smelled really good. I let them steep for a week, and tried the first one. It tasted good, but a few seconds after exhaling I got the same aftertaste that I get after drinking a diet soda or something. Moved on to the others and had the same. I let them sit another week and tried again, and still get the weird aftertaste. Is it just me? Couldn't find anyone else saying this with Google searches. They have a good flavor, but the aftertaste ruins it for me.

They use sucralose as a sweetener. That's why I dont use it in my eliquid anymore...

I buy from vape wild all the time only a few blocks from my house. I haven't noticed the after taste but I drink diet drinks so I'm conditioned to sucrose

You don't really need added sweetener or sugar for most liquids. If your recipes call for it, then EM can work without the questionable health issues.

Doesn't most if not all store bought ejuice use sucrose?

There are a number of store boughts which are not sweetened at all, but you need to search for them.
Some people don't like the taste effects of EM, just as some don't like the coil effects of sucralose.
I will say that the sucralose is an effective sweetener. But, go ahead and do an internet search on the health effects, and there are enough questions/concerns that I'll stay away, thank you.

NuNaturals Liquid NuStevia.
Been using it for close to 4 years.
I cannot tolerate ANY artificial sweetener.
And a main reason why I have been 100% DIY for about 4 years.

Funny you should mention that. I only use stevia in my coffee (beverage, not eliquid, LOL)
I did some DIY a couple of years ago, with mixed results. But, I'm not enjoying most store-bought juices, so decided to get back into it.
We'll see how it goes. Worst case, it's a lot cheaper to toss homemade juices than store-bought. And worst case, I'll just stick to unflavored and the store-bought naturally extracted tobaccos, which I do enjoy.

Hey @The Cromwell which of those stevia's do you use in your juices, with or without alcohol?
I use the one with. Just the one I tried first and liked so I kept getting it.
Lasts me a long time. I use 6 drops in 120 ml and vape 20-30 ml/day.

Do not taste the alcohol, and I have the bitter gene and alcohol tastes bad to me.

Took me half of my life to realize how some people liked to drink beer and whiskey.
They do not taste alcohol. I just thought it tasted the same to everyone?

great, I will get some. my DIY needs all the help it can get , lol. SS seems good to me, but I am new, so WTH do I know.
I don't mind diet soda. but I agree that it has its "taste".

the SD'y, it is very strong ? I mean, does it take more/less than SS ?

Sugar Daddy appears to be a blend with Sucralose, Eritol? and Stevia.

Stevia is pretty nasty by itself. The sucralose stuff the after taste depends on how much you use. I'm more less talking about in coffee or tea not ejuice

Depends on the Stevia used.
Most grocery store Stevia yes.

Also depends on taste buds of the individual.

I gave the Vape Wild juice to a coworker who just quit smoking, and he loves them. Says he can't taste anything weird. Oh, well, only out a buck, and this might be the thing that finally pushes me into DIY juice...

Some of us cannot tolerate artificial sweeteners, we are also a minority of the population.
Juice manufacturers make juice for the majority.

and some of us can tolerate artificial sweeteners, but think that they are unhealthy, so avoid them.
We all taste somewhat differently. So, some find EM nasty, others find stevia nasty...
But, not all juice mixtures need sweetening.

Much of the grocery store stevia is nasty.
The stevia we consume is from more than one variety of the Stevia plant. Some varieties have a bitter taste to many people, myself included.

I'm intrigued by your posts about the NuNatural one. I'll try it out, starting with my morning coffee, when I get some.

The really super-nasty sweetener is aspartame. It's a glutamate, a neurotoxin, and that's what Nutra Sweet was. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to learn that it causes diseases like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. I hope to heaven no one is using it in e-juice.

Sucralose is the main compound in Splenda. Generally, at least to me, doesn't have the kind of aftertaste that aspartame or saccharin had.

I've never noticed an artificial sweetener flavor or aftertaste in VapeWild's juice.

Splenda has a bad taste to me. Not as bad as putridsweet though :blech:

Nutrasweet is known and proven to cause liver damage in large doses.
Why it was not originally approved for use in soft drinks...
Also the rise in Autisim coincides with Nutrasweet being in soft drinks.
Pregnant women drink diet drinks...

Remember when doctors used to promote smoking?
Who knows what we may finally decide about some of the things we ingest that are now considered 'safe'?
Butter was bad and margarine was good. Margarine is now bad and I am not sure of the status of butter but I like it and it is not fake food.

I gave up on listening to the "experts" when they said grilled foods cause cancer. The FDA approves all these drugs and food additives that are linked to so many terrible diseases and ailments, but you can't cook over fire like people have been doing since the stone age? I have zero faith that the government, big pharmaceutical conglomerates, or "food" processing giants care about people at all...

The Vapewild flavors I tried a couple of years ago all had the same sickly sweet taste to me. I diy these days.

I'm saving my pennies and making a list in preparation to start DIY. Tired of spending money to be disappointed.
Ahh but you will have some disappointments in DIY as well. But once you find some you like the savings are big time.

Disappointment in myself just means I change things up until I'm no longer disappointed. Sadly, I have much more faith in myself than I do in others. Like the old saying goes, if you want something done right, do it yourself.

Yep one of the major benefits of DIY.
Tweaking a mix till it is like Baby Bear's porridge.

I like some of vapewild's flavors, others not as much. Most are heavily sweetened. Omvapors juices are sweet or sweet enough for me and they don't add sweetners to their juice. A lot of commercial juice seems to be super sweet and potent on the flavors. Not sure if that's a selling point, what the majority love or what. I'm thinking it might also be for people using subtank coils like the older standard kanthal coil heads. Subtanks have improved over the years and mesh seems to be working wonders for a lot of people. I don't know since I've never used a subtank. I have vaped on kanthal though and while it's subjective as any taste reference is, I find kanthal mutes flavors for me. Compared to stainless or nichrome. Tank design can also mute flavors so maybe commercial juice places bump their flavors up to compensate for mediocre tanks and coils to make sure flavor still comes through? I have no idea.

I do like a number of their flavors at vw, wrecking ball, pinkle twinkle, kiwi berry, green apple envy (though may need a week or two to steep. scent similar to nail polish remover but tastes ok to me). Vanilla butternut is another decent flavor. I used to like their goat and rock and rollgurt but both have been discontinued and 'vaulted' due to fda pmta costs. I think 'goat' (blueberry and greek yogurt) was briefly available to club members, membership is $50. Includes 5% off, free shipping on any size order and a few other perks. I'm not a member though so those flavors are still mia.
