Welcome to VU joe...

I don't know enough about pods to say. Are those pods refillable? Are you currently a smoker? Have you vaped before?

Was your friend's a pod? Exactly what was it, and what did you like, and dislike about it?
I'm just shooting in the dark here as there are a lot of pods on the market right now. But I know Nautilus coils from having used them and they are very good for MTL. They fit Aspire Nautilus S tank and a couple of their pods. All are refillable and the coils are about $2ea.

How did you like the Breeze?
I don’t know if something like this, or similar interests you. A refillable tank with replaceable coils. And a lot more battery between charges.

Or this pod that’s refillable and holds over twice as much juice (4.5ml) and uses the same coils as that S tank. There’s a few coils to choose from depending on how you want it to vape.
https://www.aspirecig.com/aspire-kits/aspire-kits535.html

Some of these pods get expensive. Esp when they come prefilled and not really designed to be refilled.
Juice can be found pretty inexpensively. I bought 10ml nic salt juice for $5 I think it was, and those 4 Myle pods have 3.6ml total. So something like a 5pk of coils for 10+juice is better imo than being obligated to a prefilled pod and only the flavors they have.

With a pod or built in battery there’s down time to charge it and don’t want to have to smoke during than time. So get 2. For someone wanting to quit smoking, I generally recommend an external battery mod, a couple batteries, a charger, and a tank. Vape one battery then swap and keep vaping. Then your set for a couple years unless you want a second back-up mod or try a different tank.

Of the ones in this thread, the Nautilus' are the most 'budget wise'. Spending more now and less later is better than spending less now and more from now on.

BTH I don't know nic salt very well. I think it's designed to achieve less throat hit, but not 100% sure. I never used it before a few days ago. I rarely use a pod and I got 24mg and that seemed harsh so I diluted it with another lower mg regular juice, then it was good. When I first vaped and stopped smoking I started with 15mg reg nic using a MTL original Nautilus tank, with same 1.6 or 1.8 coils the AIO uses. So maybe that's an option, use reg juice and start with 15 or 18 mg nic and try that.
