I would much prefer a 22mm with a 2 ml tank, the 16 mm is a bit tall.

22 with a 2ml tank on the right, other one is the 3.5...can fit almost 2.4ml in the right one

Guys, im leaning towards the ever-popular topside squonk mod and pairing it with a wotofo profile 24 mm rda. I have trepidation on the profile because even though I have never used a mesh setup before, I have seen past mesh-based setups have mixed-to-very poor reviews. However I see so much love for this new RDA, the profile, that I'm thinking of giving it the old college try. Although his shtick is annoying at times, Rip trippers seems to love the thing and it has nearly perfect reviews everywhere i see it for sale.

This will be my first foray into your dark and lovely world. ;)

The Topside and Profile are a great combination and I think your gonna be pleased with both. The Profile is quite easy to setup and wick and once your up and running its a very pleasant and smooth vape. The Topsides bottle fill method is quite clever and makes refilling almost as easy as refilling a tank. The Topside/Profile combination has spoiled me and just about made all my other squonkers sit on the sidelines ;)

For the purposes of this squonk I'll be buying, I'll be using it for lung hits. I never consider myself a cloud chucker, as I go for flavor, but this is def not for MTL or tootle puffs. I'm leaning towards the topside/topfill (whatever its called -- I did see a review on it)...but I just want something that wont break for a while.

I still nominate Coppervape mods. Any issues I've had with them are user based. Read, I'm an absolute klutz prone to dropping mods onto hard floors from which no mod could really be expected to recover. Though I myself am looking at the Topside mods as a next big purchase. I too have an affinity for durable stuff.

Thanks, good post -- do you use TC in that combo? I have always assumed squonking is best with TC to prevent dry hits if you forget to squonk, perhaps. I tried TC back maybe 3 years ago when it was mainly nickel -- bleecchh -- tasted nasty for the first couple dozen hits. So if I use TC this would be my first TC venture as well. I have gone through and currently use probably 10-12 mods, but never have I used TC other than once or twice as mentioned above.

Thanks for this, however they are mech arent they? I just have never had the desire to go outside of regulated. I enjoy not worrying about screwing something up in ways that a regulated mod would simply give a nice error msg and prevent from happening.

I squonk before each vape so I don't really worry about dry hits. The included mesh strips that come with the Profile are Kanthal so you won't be able to use TC on those. You will have to get TC compatible mesh strips separately. If you plan on using TC with the Topside you will have to download the TC firmware from Dovopo's website since the default firmware only does Wattage or bypass mode from the factory.

Good point on the kanthal. Its fine, I'm in no hurry to TC anyway.

I'd give Galaxies a pass, I had one I used for about 5 minutes (4 minutes was making and installing the coil)
Just curious what you disliked so much on the Galaxies. Was it the RTA or the RDA/RDTA?
I might be enabled on that Dvarw as well, the cart is calling my name....

I use a Profile on a Topside as well Using Vandy Vape ss316L 200 mesh cut to size in TC, To be honest it works great in TC (50w@420-480f) or Power mode (45-55w). I have had a few dry hits using the Profile it usually happens when the bottle is getting low on juice. I think it has a lot to do with amount of cotton used to wick it. I have found that when doing a new build I cut about 1/4 of the cotton off lengthwise and then wick. Also cut your ends at an inward slope towards the coil. You have to play with it a bit to get it just right. If using TC you might have to change up the temps to find the sweet spot for the juice you are using. I have had juice good at 400 all the way up to 530f.

What ohm reading are you getting with the SS mesh?I have some of the VV mesh coming to try out in my profile,so just curious what that small little piece comes out.

0.20ohm is what I have in there now, but it's a notched piece. As the VV mesh is wider you either have to notch it to fit in the clamps or cut it length wise to the same dimensions as the A1 mesh. I've done it both ways but I like the notched wider piece as its almost double the surface area. Just FYI the VV mesh is very springy and won't take a shape like the Kanthal mesh does. What I do is, cut to length then notch both ends to fit in the clamps, clamp one side, then lay the tool over the ceramic piece then bend the mesh over it and into the other clamp. Be careful when wicking as the cotton wants to grab the side of the mesh and you can distort the shape very quickly. If using VV mesh cut to exact size, be sure to wick it from the uncut side of the mesh, The cut side will be rough and won't let the cotton slide through.

Cool, thanks for the tips.I had wondered about notching it like that,so glad to hear that works, and that it ohms out around a .2,i really didn't want to go much lower than the kanthal strips come out at since 1 of my profiles i run on a mech, but i have been using only SS wire for several years,so definitely wanted to give the SS mesh a try,so now i know it'll be right where i want it.

It was the RDA, I believe the chamber was large and it gave a "hollow" vape. It felt like there was a bit more air than needed even with the AF closed. I didn't much care for it. I think the real problem lies with them trying to have an RDA that covers both MTL and DL. It had deep a well as well, not a bonus when squonking, but still, it was better than the Berserker MTL RDA.

I have the RDTA version and that seems to describe what that "something" is I don't like about it. No other mtl rsa to compare it to, only been in that rabbit hole for a few months. I'm on the hunt for a reason, just don't know what for. I like a dense, concentrated vape and have resigned myself to the fact that I'm going to have to burn through some hardware to find it.

Dotmod in. Guess I should get a bigger battery for it...it's got an adapter thingy for 18650 for now.
It's working nicely - just how I expected, and finish is lovely.
They threw in a kind of pink set of doors too (black friday promo - something free with every order).
The whole "back door" thing is kind of odd - it's not a door (one-side squonk) it's just a cover for the back...

For a tobacco lover as myself, tobaccos (NETs and synthetic) are why tootlepuffing has stayed alive for me. I just can't take a big ole lung hit of a tobacco, just feels weird and tastes odd to me.

I am an incorrigible tootle puffer also, lol

Hey Bonkers, been awhile since I've been on. Just been laying low these past few months working and living life.
Got my first grandchild on the way and very excited about that. Kinda gotten over the chase for the next best vape and have been happy with the gear I have. I am interested in the topside, so any raves or rants on that would be helpful. It's time for some new batteries, so what's the latest bestest 18650 out there? And where to order from? Hope all is well with everyone. I'll do my best to check in a little more frequently. Thanks in advance for any info

I like that damn Topside so much I gotta buy another....damn good squonker. I have about 45 other (had to have squonks) which are nowhere near the quality and ease of use as the topside.

"Ben, you need to get a Topside," @inspects says to @MyMagicMist.

"Ah. Hm," *nodding* "settles that then. Well, alright I will as soon as I get some of that funding stuff," @MyMagicMist replies. ;) :)

*hears Raymond Burr mentioning coffee and Jack Webb saying "That so?", scuttles along to go get some :coffee: *

I just ordered a basium. Same chip (but upscaled) as topside. Without the ridiculous hole placement or top fill.

$47 usd in your terms including shipping

Its a pretty decent mod...doesn't get great battery life considering its dual.

I suggest if you have a refill bottle to use that...removing said bottle system although easy, is messy as with most when refitting it.

One downside of the Basium...long pin atomizers will cause the bottle system to not go in flush, and said brick will teeter on a desk.

Freddy seems to be branching out lately with a dual 18650 DNA 250C and just hinted about a pod system.

dnaGO?

interesting
No he was very clear that it wouldn't be a DNA Go. He said that they don't sell the Go boards like they do the 75C, 250C, etc. You have to get approved and it's only for mass production, basically.

Anybody interested in the Desire cut, there's a couple great deals on them right now if you don't mind waiting on shipping from China.
Efuntop has the purple cut for $11.59 plus like $5 for shipping,3Avape has other colors for $12.99 plus around $5 for shipping.Even with the shipping charge, they are under $20 shipped.

Enjoying the tail piping of a Wasp Nano today. Think I've decided imho at least, tail piping is how this RDA is meant to be used.
I prefer my black wasp with a drip-tip.Otherwise it just gets too hot to handle.I'm going to give credit where credit is due here.It was @The Cromwell that gave me that hint. And I'll freely admit he is 1000% correct that without the drip-tip it just didn't work out for me at least.

That Pico does come with a RSA but it sucks big green donkey schlong. So just toss that POS.And use the wasp trust me alright.
I've never heard of the Squeeze having any major issues so you should be good to go.
