I had a husky wr 250 too and before that had a husky sportsman 8 speed then my last husky was a 390 had lots of suzuki's yamaha's can am's and one lonely honda, I love dirt bikes
Several Hondas (all modified), Yamahas (all modified), rode once but never owned a Suzi... also had street bikes, my very first being a 1949 Indian w/3 speed suicide shift, Triumphs, BMW (old one), etc.

I do not even FB at all. Not a twit either I only post here and on one other vape related board.

Wife unit talked me into signing up for the grandchildren...
That was a mistake...

Mostly just noise and drama.
I suspended my account. Could not figure out how to delete it....

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away.... I used to race those things.... Husqvarna 250WR. But for just cruising fire roads and enjoying the scenery, it was a Honda 500 Thumper. Ah, the good old days (40-45 years back).
They were a BLAST, it's a wonder I lived to tell about those days....

I had a 250 Husq too....damn things fly....!

Interesting... Rich, Dale and Jimi all had 250 Husqvarnas.... down that long old lonesome road into the past... wonder what else we might eventually dig up.
Mine was a 1972, strong running little bike, I liked the 360 sportsman eight speed better

Wrote an ad (in the form of an "I did this" story) for Kawasaki once and got $100 in Kawasaki riding gear. Eventually I even bought a green machine, but it was a street bike.
Ever have a Yamaha dirt bike, they were pretty good machines...and the Can Ams were decent.

Was riding with my brother years ago...he went right into a Jumping Cholla (cactus)....had to take him to the hospital to get the thorns out, their like a porcupine with curled barbs, they go in easy, but don't come out.

I loved mine, had three of them
I had a shit load of bikes when I was young...my father had some (80+ acres) farmland we turned in a dirt course for bikes and old junk cars, way before we were old enough to legally drive, man was that a blast.......:giggle:

Demolition derby's with old cars, bike ramps from hell I built with the old man's dozers and track hoes....:vino:

My Husky was a combination, but pure racing machine. I wanted the suspension from the 250CR (close ratio tranny - built for motocross) but the actual transmission of the WR (wide ratio tranny - built for enduro racing). So I bought the 250CR and had the dealer install the WR transmission, so I could take it out in the desert for 100-mile races (put a larger gas tank on it too) that had nasty terrain worse than any motocross course (from sandy whoop-de-doos at start/finish, through canyons, up to snow, flying through volcanic rock). After 50 miles, you get to refuel once. Team Husky flagged me down. Seems wifey (at that time) parked herself with them and since I wore Team Husky colors, they did the entire refuel routine for me and sent me on my way. What a trip!

So, a scooter, eh? :D
The state of Arizona fucked up all the fun here, there are very few locations you can legally ride bikes now, they're worried about fires.
Most of my racing was in Orygun... come to think of it, the fire road scenic cruises were also in Orygun. If you rode off the pavement, your bike was required to have a govt-approved spark arrester. Does AZ not have something similar?

Yep, but I'm not sure of all the particulars any longer....haven't kept up with the rules the last several years.
