Yep, everyone's favorite streaming app is going bye-bye... a total freaking bummer , but the writing has been on the wall and all good things can't last.

Anyone have a non-Kodi alternative they like and use?

Good looking out! I read that Morpheus won't be updated any longer.

The consensus seems to be tea TV. I'll give that a go tonight. Thanks!

These are all going away..... New security plan from Time Warner and Cox...... Someone was using our WI-FI to watch Popcorn Time and and other Kodi stuff and we were investigated by Cox..... They went into our computers looking our traffic and gave us new IP addresses and told us if it happens again our services with Cox will be cancelled...... So now I'm even afraid to watch porn.........

I just downloaded and installed TeaTV and it's working really well. I prefer the interface from Terrarium but this is a suitable replacement thus far.
Now I just have to go and install it on the Firesticks. What a PITA!

Ugh. I have Spectrum now which bought out Time Warner so I should be able expecting the same.
Hopefully by the end of the year we should have a local fiber network available because I'll be switching with a quickness.

FFS! DON'T TAKE OUR PORN!

I'll let you know how TeaTV works out on my Firestick. Working great on my phone thus far.

Yeah but it was hacked, probably by some 12 year old ......

I always check my router to see if there are any devices on my Network that shouldn't be and I checked just now and saw a new IP Address! I was like WTF?? I forgot I have my Pixel 2 XL set to automatically sign in to familiar WiFi access point and that was the strange IP~! LMFAO

Well Cox network made me paranoid, they made us pay $200 for each of our laptops to have them checked and cleared ...... But man there are so many WiFi connections....... I see all of my neighbors WiFi connections.....

If I scan for WiFi Access points I can tell you what Security they have but I was just looking at the devices on my own Network which consists of 12 devices at any given time.

I currently have three fire sticks that all have Chef Kodi, Mobdro, LiveNet TV, and whatever else works decently. I feel that "stealing" live TV is simply getting even with the cable companies, as them NOT having the channels I want ala carte should be illegal. I will do this as long as I can get away with it. Never again will I pay $100 a month to watch the handful of channels I enjoy.

Yeah but these slime bags just want to screw us..... I'm sticking to YouTube and stuff I can legally watch without risking and loosing my internet....... Cox already told us watch popcorn and movie links on your internet and we will close your account......

Man without internet my work is gone......

We have a Cox business account, they give us 10g per minute.... Or better said we pay for 10g per minute. You can choose a plan from 25mb to 10G

usually they go by bits (b) or bytes (B) but by the second. If my math is right you're getting 170mbps assuming their giving you the advertised speed. You can easily overload a slower hard drive where it can't keep up with download on large files at those speeds.

Here is a question for y'all: The "WebMD" guy from YouTube that has the awesome "store" always pushes a VPN. Any truth to if a VPN actually works as far as blocking your internet activity? Also, will a VPN make certain channels work that don't work now? I am considering getting a VPN for a period of time to see if it makes a difference.

I reside in Waterford, Michigan {very near DIY Vapor Supply} & my internet is from Xfinity. I have never, ever got any hate from Xfinity/Comcast about what I am using my internet for......

I am beginning to think that with this "free cable TV" via Fire Stick, you will always be chasing your own tail and it will NEVER be reliable, LOL.

I go to this guy -->
and troypoint.com for anything involving the fire sticks. And I'd never DREAM of using them without a VPN. We have IPVanish.

Yes! -Electrical M.D. is 'Da Man! His tutorials on how to install apps on the Fire Stick are second to none. :)

My questions to anybody running a "jailbroken" Fire Stick and a VPN are these:

1. Does a VPN make these "unauthorized" apps work better, meaning more reliable?

2. Some stations simply do not work at all on these apps. Anybody do any "A/B" tests that prove that a VPN will get you networks/programming that will not work without a VPN?

I am considering getting a VPN for no reason other if it makes my streaming experience better.

A VPN will just hide your IP address you you won't be caught streaming. At least that's the hope.
If you want to improve your streaming experience look into getting a Real Debrid account. $18 and change for 6 months. You link that to whatever streaming app you're using and you get more and higher quality links without buffering.

I used Amazon Firestick several years ago and terrarium was one of my favourite apps. As I've recently moved to a new house and need to find a way to watch TV and movies, I'm thinking about returning to Firestick. Having surfed the Internet, I found out that titanium tv is known to be a good terrarium alternative app. But I want to have more variants to choose from. Can anyone suggest me anything else?

I just got a firestick 4k yesterday and I installed the 'cinemaapk' on it, watched bloodshot on it last night and worked great.

I use an app called Cinema HD. You have to sideload it onto your Firestick, but the good news is that you bypass Kodi altogether.
Google it an you'll find easy instructions on how to download and install it. Good luck!

Beat me to it! Do you have a Real Debrid account? Best 36 bucks a year I've ever spent. No buffering at all

No I don't, but had no problems with buffering last night though. I had found out about it by watching a few youtube videos on the firestick, reminds me of showbox, which doesn't work anymore.

That's good to hear! I thought the links might have increased traffic with the majority being home at the moment. Glad it work for you! Real Debrid is legit though if you ever run into those buffering issues or lack of streams.
