We both get full benefits for when we filed for SSI.
SSI is one thing. That is controlled by the state. I was in California when they froze all cost of living increases for SSI recipients in California. Social Security is don't rolled by the Federal government. No state can stop cost of living increases on Social Security.

Finally got the rest of the bathroom trim, and got that up. Now, we see when Phillip is gonna tile the floor.

Only could get a couple shots with the cam. Tight confines and all.

Beautiful downtown Maurine, South Dakota (population: 2 people and lots of critters)
Clear skies, light breeze, outside temperature 101 °F at 56% RH = heat index of 128 °F (53 °C)
Inside the house (no A/C) 94 °F same RH = heat index of 107 °F (42 °C)
Other than routine chores, didn't do shit today except sit in a puddle of sweat...

Well, unless my computer just quit working, it looks like everyone just fell asleep without so much as a "by your leave," so I guess I'm gonna hit the hay too. G'nite to anyone who might still be around.

OK, Phil and Lucy are here, so this thing isn't broken after all. Just couldn't figure out why the whole world went silent last night.

So are ya OK now, Phil?

Now it is me that has to disappear for awhile. Hotter than Hell outside again and I gotta make a mid-day trip out to make sure every single water container is full to the max. When they are down low, even if the horses and cows can reach in there, the stupid Guineas and chickens will fall in and drown when they are extremely thirsty. If I keep them full, the stupid birds can just perch on the edge and drink without falling in.

Yeah I'm ok just waiting on insurance to say if they'll allow the tests the doctor wants

Still waiting for an end to the rain, so I can do laundry. Phillip's work clothes dry on the line, so they don't foul the dryer. Oils in his clothes will do that. At least all our rain containers are refilled, including the 400 gallon water tote Phillip bought at a yard sale for $10.

Don't ever buy anything from walmart:giggle: they said about another 3 weeks. I went crazy on them, even the manager was speachless. Usually i am pretty easy going and try to be nice to everyone but blew my top on those assholes.
Things I buy from Walmart and have to take back get replaced, not repaired. I always request the manager and lay it out quite plainly what I expect. So far, they have never failed to comply with MY demands.

Only once did I ever have a problem with a computer from Walmart. Within 30 days, the motherboard fried. It was replaced by the manufacturer. If I expected Walmart to do anything, it would have had to go to the dumpster. They ain't worth a shit when it comes to their warranties.

Evening pholz....damn did it ever rain this evening again. Driving back from dinner at my mothers house, had to dodge trees blown across the street, with water to the top of the curbs across the road.

Seems you folks in AZ and TX stole our weather and gave us yours. For the second day in a row, we hit 101 °F at 52-43% RH. Although we are dry, the prevailing air flow is coming up from the south (read damp). That made our heat index today between 113-121 °F (49 °C).
(Indoors 91 °F = feels like 97 °F)

My computer was an online purchace and was after the 90 days so it is handled by a company called Asurin, and what a joke they are.

It has rained like hell every evening for the last four days....we need it too, hopefully it will put some needed rain in the lakes.
We missed out on any rain yesterday, despite the weather guessers saying we were gonna get nonstop rain through Tuesday. Now, they say it'll stop raining Tues morning.

What's it been, 2-3 months now?

I believe they are an insurance company - one that takes care of extended warranties. I never buy that because electronics stuff (hasty generalization here) either works or it doesn't; that is, if it will last 90 days (the store warranty), it will last a few years. I have had things die after Walmart's 90 days and taken them back to the store and made it quite plain to their manager how many thousands of dollars they would lose each year by alienating me and I got a replacement unit on the spot.
