Another humid day I assume....has to be a bastard sleeping. But, I believe you put in a good days work, which certainly helps in the sleep dept.
I think the humidity might have been a couple points lower because of the lack of rain. Temp was 92 °F outside, 90 °F inside ... and work... did I do any today? Damned if I can remember, being so frickin' old and all... o_O I do remember playing with this tiny tiny orange kitten after washing the dinner dishes... I sat outside and he (one of the garage ferals, the runt of the litter that might be 7-8 weeks old) asked to get on my lap. I suspect he will come live in the house very soon.

Lannie makes my Butterbeer and Scotchcake in 120 mL bottles. I vape the BB all day and the SC only while sitting here on the 'puter, so it last 2-3 times as long, but it'll be at least two more weeks before I ask for more BB. I did finally wear out my favorite mod today (the Cloupor mini+), so at the moment, I am making do with one of those ancient Innokin Disrupters (won on ECF). Way too large and too heavy, but at least it can take my BB usage.

I made 60mls of each, I like um alone, or mixed together 50-50

She's experimenting with something called Blackberry Dazzle and Lime Custard that seem to be pretty good (better after sitting a couple weeks - at least that's my excuse for liking them later rather than sooner). Has she shared those recipes with you yet? Seems like she invents something new every few days...

I believe Lannie did share....I copy and pasted all she sent to my Word file.

The Lime Custard recipe is Rixy's, and it's for his business, so I don't think I sent that one. Dale, if you want to try it, though, I'll ask him if it's OK and then send it on. I'm not a big fan of lime by itself, but mixed with the custard, it's really good. Actually, you could just add 4% Capella Lime to that Son of a Biscuit recipe and get something quite similar. Maybe even better! It would need to sit for a week to give the lime a chance to settle down, though, because it's very harsh right at first.

And Rich might not have done much yesterday, but I sure did. I got most of the spring cleaning done that I've been putting off for the last several years. Yikes, there was so much fuzz on things because of the VG residue when I was vaping 80%VG. I had to wipe everything down with a solution of Simple Green to cut the goo, then re-wax and buff. Basically I refinished all the living room furniture. My hands are so sore from all that, it's not funny. Then I vacuumed, swept, mopped, and did a couple loads of laundry. Today I have one more load of laundry (well, two, but one load is just bathroom rugs and towels), but I'm going to just sit the rest of the day and enjoy my sparkling clean house. While it lasts. With two dogs, one having a dense double coat, and four cats all living in the house, it won't stay clean very long. I still have to clean the porches and wipe down all the appliances (which is not as easy as it sounds, considering the number of fridges and freezers we have). So I'm not done, but I did enough to make myself feel good about it. :D

Morning chores have been taking me longer, too. We have to give some of the cats a liquid antibiotic for their upper respiratory infection, and three of the four are ferals. I have a system now, but it's time consuming, and that little orange kitten Rich mentioned is SOOOOO skinny, I've been bringing him in morning and evening and letting him eat his fill of canned food, in the hope he'll put some weight on. His siblings are way bigger than he is, but he's so sweet, he's definitely coming to live in the house. And there's another one that's very sweet also, and lets us pick him up. That one has a very loud purr-motor, so he's obviously enjoying the human contact, so he's coming in, too. Buncha crazy old cat people live here, that's fer sure.

Oh, and get this, I found TWO MORE kittens yesterday morning. Another calico, and another orange tabby. There might be more, but I only saw those two. The original mama cat, the mother of all these damblasted garage cats, apparently got herself pregnant again and went off and had more babies. She was gone for a while and we thought she'd gone off in search of a new husband, but evidently she was having her kittens in private. Now she's brought them back and stashed them in the boxes in the back of the garage. This seems like it will never end.... That's two litters for her just this summer. Her daughters have each had one litter so far... God help us.

Phil, mg is weight, mL is volume. Unless the recipe shows the component as a percentage of the total (e.g., 5% flavor X), which can be easily calculated, then use the online calculator as Lucy suggested.

I always wondered is that 5% by weight or volume?
for me it is by volume, but then I only do by volume.
I have always assumed volume as well and none of my juices (or Lannie's - she uses volume too) are UNtasty because of this assumption. But, given that the variation in molecular density of the various components is insignificant, it likely does not make any difference. If you were comparing lead to feathers, it would make for large errors, but VG and PG are so similar, it is not an issue. Oh, and all your flavors (for Phil and Sarah) are in a PG base (and very probably, the nic too, although I have heard you can purchase VG-based nic).

Looks like we ain't getting any hotter than 75° today. It's been raining all day, even tho I didn't appreciate the early morning thunder waking me up.

I'll be using an online calculator for figuring out the volume of what I need to mix.

Rained like hell here again last night. Had to of rained at least 2-inches. The fields were flooded this morning with standing water. I could see other water lines at the base of trees, looks like the water subsided about a foot from the original elevation. BUT, it was hotter than the hubs of HELL.....:gaah:

96 °F at 40% RH (current -- max today was 60%) so the heat index was somewhere between 101 °F and 116 °F. Partly cloudy, very light breeze, dry as a bone, and when you stepped out of the shade into the direct sun, it felt like jumping in an oven. Nope, not even one drop of rain so I guess north and south have indeed switched weather. Watered the garden and it was definitely 20-degrees cooler in there. I didn't even mind getting wet when moving the sprinkler for Lannie (she started, I finished).

DISH Network technician here today (4 hours late) to install new dish (the old one was 14 years old) and control box (old one obsolete and malfunctioning) and, supposedly, make it all work. Failure. Upstairs TV looks great, but the 20-year-old CRT TV down in the dungeon now does not work at all. "Pissed" :cuss2:would be a very mild word. He says I need a new TV in my den. I cannot afford a new TV (I told him I am an old man living entirely on social security) and this one fucking worked fine until he changed things around. Grumble grumble grumble... :blah:

I think most of the dish - and others similar are paid such a low wage, they really don't give a shit about anything except Friday's beer money.

Nothing new in AZ, Rich...work - eat - sleep - REPEAT.

Haven't checked, but I assume we're getting record rainfall....the damn desert is flooded on the way to work, generally don't see water laying around...guess the soil is finally saurated.

My sweet potatoes are digging it.

That's how the shampoo companies doubled their sales... Lather, rinse, repeat. That last work made them tons of money.

I remember, not long after moving to Tucson, I drove across this dry river bed -- there was a bridge, but this was a short cut --- and one day, after a day of thunderstorms, that "dry" river bed had 30 feet of water in it. I was amazed because, having come from Orygun ("last year, 365 people fell off their bicycles and drowned") and having just spent the last 4 years in England and Illinois (equally as wet as Orygun), this "dry" place just didn't fit with 30 feet of raging river that wasn't even there yesterday. Then, two days later, it was dry as a bone again.

The washes have been running water like hell. The one which crosses under the main drag just south of me was still running this morning on the way to work.....don't believe I've ever seen that.

I find a difference of 0.295 g/mL to be insignificant when both are carriers (i.e., not something which, in and of itself, modifies flavor or vape action). Like you, Crom, I will stick with mixing by volume.

yep I kinda mix my 50/50 PG/VG by eye.
That looks like about half of a liter bottle, fill up the rest of the way with the other stuff.
Close nuff.

flavorings now in the low percentages I use...
And flavorings do come in a VG only base. I personally do not recommend them though as they take a long time to blend/steep.

And I do not take the pg in my flavorings into consideration unless I am mixing up a 15 ml trial batch or something, In that case everything gets measured in a syringe.

Got a 3rd great Grandson today,
Does that mean you just got older? o_O
My daughter was very bothered a zillion years back that her mother and I got divorced, and she figured out that marriage is the number 1 cause of divorce (smart kid), so she never did, nor did she ever have any babies (she decided a couple kittens was more than enough to take care of), so not only do I not have ant GREAT grandchildren, I also don't have the preceding version (i.e., no grandchildren) and likely never will, so I figure that makes you older than me. (fuzzy math)

No just poorer....

some changes needed for marriage.
Lease option to buy is the way to go.
And marriage liscences need to be renewed every few years with signed consent of both parties.
If you let the liscence expire you are not married.

Only liscence I know of that does not require perodic renewal.

So if it needs to be renewed every few years, do you have to deed all possessions to one party or the other pending the renewal? And, should one or both parties choose not to renew the license, do each of them merely pick up their respective toys and go their separate directions? Hmmmm.... isn't that called "divorce"? Uh, so what would be the difference?

So, essentially the same game with new definitions. And if you fail to renew by December 31st, it screws your tax status.
Yep it would keep renewing the thought of do you really want to become unmarried knowing all these things will smack ya in the butt?

would also cut down on lawyers income some.... a+
And would of course increase the govt fees incomes on marriage liscence renewal.

And when you retire, you can both get full Social Security benefits, without the government screwing you.

You can do that now depending on how much each has paid in and all that stuff.
If you are both married, one gets only half of their benefits, while the other gets full benefits. This is why some couple's divorce at retirement age, yet stay living together.
