I hope someone could help out because I am at a loss. I purchased a pharaoh mini last week and immediately built a coil and installed it. while trying to glow the coils, I noticed the Ohms were increasing each time I pressed the fire button. I built a new coil and the same thing was happening. I went through 4 different coils, including a simple round wire build, and nothing changed. I even tried to use a different mod with no luck. I brought it to my local vape shop to see if maybe they would be able to help out where we took it apart completely and thoroughly washed each piece, but the same issue occurred. PLEASE HELP!!

Welcome to VU. What is the coil material you are using and how much is it jumping?

Thank you. I used 1 coil made with 24g Nichrome 80 and 30g SS wire, 2 different coils made with all SS wire, and a round wire 24g Nichrome 80 coil. It read right about where the coils should have been, but then each time i hit the button, it would jump up in random increments. One of the SS coils jumped all the way up until my devices showed the resistance being too high to fire.

Have you verified the center pin is screwed all the way in and snug? If it were me I would fully disassemble and clean the thing entirely. Sounds like a poor connection. I am no expert in Pharoahs but I remember having a deck replaced by the manufacture (cant remember why but it was).

I did disassemble the entire tank and cleaned every piece with soap and water. The tightened the center pin with a pair of needle nose pliers to ensure that it was snug. I also cleaned the 510 pin in the mods that I tried to use.

SS resistance changes with heat. Nichrome and Kanthal do not. Did you actually take the build deck apart? A stray piece of wire/metal from machining can sneak in the little gaps around the PEEK insulator and cause weird things. This has happened to my Pharaoh Mini. Took the deck apart, got the debris out, and voila! Fixed.

It still occurs even with a regular Nichrome round wire build. I did take everything apart to clean it, including the positive pin and peek insulator, but I will try again and use a brush to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Then something is loose...coil leads, positive pin, something.
