Getting tired of messing with,

coils
building rdas
making juice
wicking
mod maintenance
troubleshooting when something isn't hitting the way you want it to
finding the perfect airflow
blah blah blah...

I've been vaping for about 6 years and there's always something to mess with.

I just want something that works how it should 100% of the time. Couple days ago, I didn't feel like messing with anything so I just grabbed the Myblu pod and vaped that for a few hours. That's saying something considering i'm by no means a mtl vapor.

You could always go back to smoking your favorite brand.....

Cigarettes are SOOO much easier.

Or just stop playing with the toys.

Reduce gear down to NEEDS... if you only have a 1 power supply and maybe a spare and 1 atty plus maybe a spare. ... the urge to fiddle is greatly reduced.
Get rid of all the flavored juice except 1 favorite.. ADV on non flavored. The need to fiddle is reduce.

Sometimes I do and then I buy some new s***. Now I'll be getting into diy so there's that. I'll change some coils. Change the 30 different juices I have. It gets old sometimes

This is why i'm contemplating getting a billet box. I've heard they're a no fuss vape, but if you go into the BB thread, there sure are a lot of different parts being talked about.

Extra rba's and buttons and shit. Most just accessories of stuff you really don't need. I can get a fused clapton in the Kanger rba and the other two mods I'm using at the moment have stock coils but they still work for me. If you get one with a DNA board you can do temp control or power mode. They've almost replaced most of my squonks. But I love a few that I have so I'll keep those and my rtas/mods

Yep. I do have a lot of mods, but I mainly switch around between my 4 Minibooks (absolute faves) and occasionally one of my half-dozen Coolfire IVs, mainly to spread out the wear and tear on my preferred mods, so that none of them is too likely to die an early death -- electronics do wear out from use. But 2 Achilles, of which I use mainly just one, and the other only when the main one is being boiled and let dry. 1 ejuice, my strawberry and cream. I need to dryburn/rewick about once or twice a week. Replace the coil maybe every couple months. Not a hassle at all, and beats the everliving SHIT out of going by Walgreens EVERY OTHER FUCKING DAY to give them $11 for some poison -- getting in and out of either of my local Walgreens is a nightmare in and of itself, and their parking also shoots the pooch.

People seem to think my style of vaping is super-weird, but I'm not complaining about how much I need to fiddle with it... because I mostly don't need to fiddle with anything. Every once in a great while, I seem to forget the "just right" amount of wick, and have to re-do it when it starts tasting foul... but otherwise? No fiddle. No hassles. No complaints. NO SMOKING.

I have many RBA/RTA/RDTA's and since I would rather be vaping I hardly ever use them unless I am bored and feel like screwing around. That is the Best Part of a factory coil, screw it in and prime the shit out of it and ready to vape.

I used to Snicker at your 9.4 or 6. Lol, but I got into billet boxes and one of them is at 10.4.. Made me think of you and I giggled. You were right. Low wattage works well too.

Yep, just reduce the airflow, works great -- of course, you need the right sort of atty that's made to shine with reduced airflow. But the lower wattage really conserves ejuice -- another thing I don't fiddle with all that often. About every 10-ish days, I mix up about 58ml, and it lasts, you guessed it, about 10-ish days -- I have my mixes staggered, so that when the one I'm using is about half done, I mix up a fresh bottle, so it can steep for a few days -- since I've gotten my flavoring percentages under 25%, the few days' steep is a great thing for flavor -- but it's still vapeable right when mixed, just isn't quite as tasty. But 1) the great flavor and 2) lack of *necessity* to steep it are two reasons why I've stuck to one ejuice for over 3 yrs.

A great idea with the mixing too. I'll definitely need to figure up a schedule and track my usage so I don't just make gallons and haven't sitting.

Billet box usbdna. 3f, a-tank atlantis.5 coils condensation plug from Troy and you're good to go. Can get panels from Troy and 3f. Troy's are a lot nicer. But fiddling purposes coil and go.

Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk

A few months ago I felt this same way so I bought a couple sub ohm tanks and they weren't very good. Every hit felt dry compared to a RDA. I would definitely try the atlantis coils. I had that tank back in the day.

I know what you mean about dry. Not bad but like no extra condemn or whatever it is coming off the vape. Just a straight vape not moist

Yeah, I've tried mixing up larger quantities of mine, but it always seems to end up going "bad" before I can vape it all -- even with 24% flavoring, a lot less than when I started, it just doesn't "sit" very well, for too long -- or I get a cold or something, and it doesn't taste right, so I'll vape something else for a week or so, and when I finally feel like vaping my usual, it's been standing too long and tastes nasty. So I mix up what I KNOW I can vape in about 10-14 days; that way, even if something happens and I don't vape it for a while, I'm not wasting too awful much.

I actually vape about 5ml per day, so the 58ml is good for slightly more than 10 days -- which is great when, like last week, I procrastinate mixing several days past the halfway point on my current bottle. Mixing smaller quantities is also good if you like to change up your nic levels or PG/VG ratio; in summer, I stay at 87.5% PG, but I can go to 86% PG in the winter... and currently I'm raising my nic level slightly, back up to 5mg, but I'm doing it slowly to avoid hiccups, stomach upset, all the usual that too much nicotine can bring on -- going up .2mg on each mix -- last mix was 3.8mg, so the next will be 4mg. I'm just really tired of that "tip of the tongue" problem, and being accused of having a "senior moment." It might actually BE a "senior moment", but I'm only 57, I really don't wanna hear it!!!! :giggle: Hopefully slightly more nic will get my neurochemistry back in the game. :D

i run 5 mods
3 pwm, 1 vv, 1 ipv3li. Um no fiddling needed. I dont do TC
I have 5 ammits 2 -22m and 3 25mm

i put the same build i them all
when one tastes bad or aint working its 1 coil ad 1 piece of cotton

make my juice 100mls per flavor at a time
most of my recipes are 1-3 flavors

i specifically did this to make it so i had less to fiddle with ad worry about

1 thing I’m tired of is the piece of shit Ammit dual
No matter what build or how much or how little cotton I put in it all it does is leak

I used mine for two weeks and packed it in. I like the big tank. I like the look. I didn't like constantly having hands full of juice. My OBS Engine doesn't have the greatest flavour but it's not leaked a drop. Find a build that works and then easy wicking once a week.

Exactly this -- I told my husband when I started that I was going to have a lot of mods, he said why, i said so I can ALWAYS find something to vape much more easily than running to the store for smokes. That "easily" factor is the key -- whatever one has to do to make vaping easier than smoking, that's the right way to do it... because the truth is, smoking really IS easier than vaping... but to smoke, you have to go get the cigarettes, and if you have the vape stuff at home and ready to vape, then vaping is just slightly easier. :D

Absolutely. It's a lot of work. You can call it a hobby or passion or whatever, but it can suck up lots of time.

Like others here, I've finally streamlined it. I use Spooled wire from AVS and I can wrap a couple of coils in 10 minutes, 6 of them being getting everything out and putting it all back. I use the same three squonks everyday and at night I use my Drag for dripping. I have 4 Shenray Hadalys and two Entheon clones that I use constantly as I've yet to fine anything I like better. This means I know exactly what I'll wrap for coils and how to wick them. Changing flavors in my squonk requires cleaning so I'll do it every other day for each one. I mix every 12-14 days and I've got more juice than I can vape in 6 months. I'm going to clean out the closet soon and pif a bunch of it.

The thing that has been bothering me lately is all of the stuff I've accumulated. I've got 16 mods, about 20 RTA/RDTAs, 15 RDAs, and just so much other stuff. I know that's not a lot compared to others, but for me it's a lot mainly because I'm not using most of it. That goes against my lifelong philosophy of letting things go if I don't use them. After 22 months of vaping, I've passed the saturation point and have no desire to buy anything else except flavors. As I'm writing this I'm getting annoyed and determined to do some pruning. I've gotta find some people here to sell or pif a lot of this stuff and get it off my mind.

PS, I live 7,000 miles from the US and I'm not interested in mailing anything. I'll do it all locally. If anyone in the Emirates reads this, drop me a pm.

yep, 3 years vaping and 2 years diy and I am over it. i keep 5 or 6 squonks and an rda in rotation. i mix 2 or 3 x 100ml recipes every few weeks (just did 2 bottles earlier, took about 10 minutes not counting time to dig out the flavors last week). I re-wick (rayon) and wash the rda/bottle every 100ml so I end up re-wicking something every 7 - 14 days depending on how equally things get vaped. I spend enough time swapping batteries and refilling bottles, and refilling my roomies nautilus tanks, that I just dont want to spend a lot more time anymore fiddling with vape gear.

If something goes wonky with a setup it gets shoved to the side until I feel like messing with it. I have a rsq/recurve sitting on the sidelines that is constantly wet inside in the battery compartment at the moment and it has been sitting there for weeks cuz I don't want to gut it to see if it is coming thru the 510 connection. I am probably just going to wash that up, wipe out the compartment, and put it in it's box with a note to gut it some day in the future.

A couple of reliable squonks and rda; a couple DNA, a yihi and a few reliable tanks - the same when possible.

Simplify your DIY, unify your coiling. It costs less than playing with electronics or reloading.

I got bored with all that when I tried it. I fiddled for a short time, to see what all the hubbub was about, then went back to factory coils. I use mods with internal batteries so all I have to do is plug it in and charge it. I learned to mix juice and once I could make some mixes that I liked I started mixing 300ml batches so I don't mix very often.

Most days all I do is fill the tank once or twice and plug the mod in to charge at night. Every other week or so, I unscrew the coil and screw a new one in. I mix juice about once every three months, or so.

Clone coils cost me around $3.50 for a 5 pack that will last me two months, or better. My time is worth something so building is not cheaper.

Lol! It seems like I’m in the minority.....I love the tinkering, mixing, building.....it keeps my anxiety at bay. My station is a disaster of testers, experiments, bad coils, good coils, post it notes, wire trimmings, puffy cotton, tanks that need cleaning, bottles that need cleaning and I love it! I’m really good at maintenance in general, so vaping is right up my alley.<3:ejuice:

Dual Tri-Core Ni80 Fused Claptons 28gx3*40g
Ohm's out at about 0.20

I have 3x Identical setups like that, I wick them maybe once a month, one starts tasting off I grab the next one, I only vape my DIY so sweetener isn't is a problem. Coils have been going 3-4 months without a change. It's my happy vape, I'm thinking you need to find yours, once you have something you love just stick with it :)

I think you're on to something there. I used to run the same rda on two different mods when I used dual coils.

I've thought about just buying a bunch of gr1's lol.

I just hate it when my vape isn't hitting right at work and then I have to fiddle with it as soon as I get home. Then on top of that, somebody always wants me to make them juice.

I'm with wildgypsy here. I love to tinker with my stuff, but that's just my personality. I have something vape related to do just about every day. Whether it's mixing, building, making claptons, etc there's always something to keep me busy, but I enjoy it.

Yea I don't mess with politics. I don't care enough to learn what's what. I don't really think we have a say in anything and they're going to do what they want anyways.
