Curious for you squonkers out there. What is your go to rebuildable squonking atomizer? I usually use the dead rabbit or pulse 24. Heard good things about the drop as well. I am looking to upgrade from these if theres better stuff. All opinions are welcome ofc.

I second the hadaly or le supersonic. Wasp is great and cheap but more air than the previous

For me it’s the Hadaly

The hadaly is a single coil 22mm setup with bottom airflow isnt it? That worries me with leaking a little bit although bottom airflow is supposed to give more flavor and I generaly run dual coil builds, but will def check it out.

Yup single coil but with low set side airflow. For a duel coil, can’t go wrong with a squonkified goon.

Im not against single coil, but I will check both out. Do you feel you get more flavor from single or dual coil and naked wire wraps or something like fused aliens? Any leaking issues?

I use triple core SS fused claptons and feel that’s where I get the best flavor.

I really wanna try ss in my mech squonk, but i heard its tough to get an ohm reading because it changes when it heats us and cools which worries me some.

SS is usually a lower ohm. I just add another wrap or two

So what ohm rating are you running? And on what battery?
Right now running a 25r with a .22ohm framed staple in the hadaly. I keep at least fused claptons in all my rsa. But the ones that can fit have framed staple. The other have fused claptons. Most of my builds hover around the same. I run a few aliens when I have the pulse 22. The wasp is good for those too. Less heat. The Haku is short so gets warm.

With the aliens though I use the vtc5a because they get into the lower ohms.. .15 area

All metals change resistance when heated or cooled....... I don't really see why this would be an issue for a mech user. If you build to a safe cold ohm reading you won't over draw your batteries.

Model all builds in steam-engine.org or Vape tool and keep the ohm rate 20% higher than minimum safe ohm for you batteries. You can Build anything you can imagine safely using SS. Or Nichrome or kanthal..... leave the other wire types to the regulated crowd.

Talk about squonk porn! My mouth is watering...

I have three Wasps, a Flave 22, and an Entheon on the way, but your collection is inspirational lol... Probably ordering a Haku and Le Supersonic soon.

Haven't tried the flave but hear great things. I appreciate your comment. My wife doesn't feel too inspired by it but I enjoy it.she Vapes just on a little penguin mod.

My wife doesn’t much care for my vaping either, but appreciates that I’m tobacco free now. I highly recommend the Flave. At wide open, it’s a perfect rdl (less than the 1/2 open I keep on my Wasps), and the flavor is slightly better.

I get so much flavor from my Speed Revolution Mini that I often check my lips for e-liquid, but it's never spit at me and they're always dry, just super concentrated vapor...but it has one 1 mm air hole and it's for MTL only

The Templar has really good flavor and lots of smooth air options but I can't recommend it for dual coils with anything other than plain round wire, anything claptoned tends to be really hard to get the shorts in the legs out

Edit: I have better luck with using just two post holes (the bottom ones) but still...it shouldn't be That hard to install some freaken coils man!

The Wasp Nano is nice, and the Haku is also sort of nice.

The Wasp is a bear to reduce the airflow; the Haku seems to fight me on coils - but consistently, both do better than 24mm alternatives.

I just got a Wotofo ReCurve RDA in, for a single coil RDA it may provide the best flavor of any I’ve purchased. You can flood the deck to completely saturate the coil and cotton with no leaks. Pretty affordable at around $30.

You mentioned you have a pulse 24. I have one and use the 510 drip tip adapter and a derringer drip tip. The improvement in flavor compared to using the 810 tip is dramatic. It’s like a completely different device. The right drip tip has a huge effect on the flavor an atomizer produces. One of the secrets of the old kayfuns which were pretty much the benchmark for flavor in their day.

DNV Venom, Wasp Nano and Recurve are my three single coil RSAs that I use. My preference is in the order listed. The Recurve squonks the best, but isn't the best for flavor or airflow for me. The DNV sits right in between the other two as far as airflow and has the best flavor. It's a higher end RSA so the machining is excellent.

Ha ha it seems like everywhere you turn someone is sale pitching. Lol. I almost got sucked into vape box yesterday. Would be a benefit if I could not spend anything else on vaping. Over 200 this week
Just googled that. Never seen it before but I like it. You trying to get me to spend money? Lol

Yeah I'd do vape box if I was a regulated + tank user and didn't make my own juice

Quark RDA is a great option for new to RDA games, it's single coil with great flavor , with very affordable price there.

The change is why mech users like it... and it is a clean metal.
Resistance rises as it heats so at the same given voltage throughout the puff if it starts at a 0.20 resistance and rises to a 0.30 resistance, the wattage declines as you take a hit.
So you have good ramp up at the start and it mellows out towards the end.
Overall a smoother hit.
No need to be concerned about safety, higher resistance is safer so if you are safe with your setup at 0.20 ohms, it can rise all it wants, it will just get safer.

Recurve is my vote for best flavor.

I second all these recommendations and i'm glad the tobhino got mentioned cos i dint have high expectations seeing as it came with the luxotic mod but the flavour is pretty impressive. It doesn't beat the hadaly but haven't had anything that does yet. I've tried a few clones of high end attys but i fell in love with the hadaly that much i bought an authentic. It was out of stock everywhere online an quite often still is but my friend sold me his cos he's now into his goons most the time.
I think with the right build though that a single coil can be better than dual coil.
I have several RDAS ranging from 14mm to 22mm that have tiny chambers an really condensed flavour.

My favorites right now are the Narca, the Vapefly Pixie, and the Hermetic. I'm using the Pixie more than the Narca actually. I love the fact that I just cannot get it to oversquonk or spit back ever. Literally it hasn't spit back or leaked from oversquonking a single time. Flavor is incredible.

The only thing is it's very small so you have to have a mod that looks good with it's size. I've got it on the Luxotic BF and it looks great.

Also I have noticed what someone said earlier in the thread to be true. I didn't know mech mod users liked SS because of the resistance change until I read that. I just realised that this would happen (resistance change) so I built lower to account for that and it really hits awesome. Just like he said very smooth. Super quick ramp up on the parallels I run too.

SXK Hadaly clone, thick, rich, and warm vape. Wasp, good flavor, more air, and cooler. Both in rotarion according to what I want at the time.
