A squonkable RDTA it a regular RDTA that you can squonk refill the tank.
Can't think of any names off the top of my head but have seen them reviewed and such.

@The Cromwell Turns out, after catching a few YT, the SRDA appears to translate as "semi-rebuildable RDA", (but you can buy RDA decks.. or more 'semis'), and it squonks. The RDTA appears to come with a deck or two, PLUS one of these "SRDA 'semis'" - but not the squonker shell.

The 'semis' use the most amazing-fuckton of cotton I have seen since a root-canal many years ago. I mean.. Seriously, they jampack that poor little deck/head/atty with more cotton than I use to rebuild 4 or 6 tanks and RDA over a month or 2.

It was a fad awhile back, the Pindad and a couple other squonkable RDTAs

I tried the one Cthulu put out - was not for me

Another... The Medusa Reborn... 3ml squonkable. The OG Medusa did not come with a Squonk pin, but I think the Reborn pin works.

The Deja Vu?

The Revvo Squonk... Not a rebuildable...

With the smaller air hole above the lower air hole, it seems like higher velocity air will hit the top of the coil, and as such, I'd expect flavor to be muted unless you raise your coil up enough so that the lower-third if the coil is visible in the top air hole.

I could be wrong, but that seems to be the trend I've noticed of coil position vs. air flow holes...

I thought that was an SDRTA?
I did not think a SRDA had a tank.
Well, since I defy convention most of the time, I fitted my Zeus RTA with a squonk pin in the 510 just to see if it would work...

Nope.

Seems like when doing this, there is a vacuum lock and no juice goes up into the tank.

Would've been nice though to have 5ml in the RTA tank and 8ml in the squonk bottle and not have to worry about refills so much, and when you do refill, you refill 13ml again instead of 5ml or 8ml...

So, a squonking RDTA seems the one that 'works' since there usually is not a vapor lock and an RDTA relies on capillary action only, in order for the wick to get and stay juiced up.

GeekVape Medusa (and later the 'Reborn' version), BomberTech Pindad, Gas Mods Nixon, and Cthulu had one, IIRC it was the 'Gaia'...

RDTAs that you can squonk with ^ that I know of. Some are at least 6-9 months old now...

that's the atty I was trying to remember....leaked like a sieve
I never had one. Sorry yours was a bad experience to use.

I do not like that company's products as a whole, and was not inspired by that atty at all.

I never felt the need to get an RDTA, I was close to getting an OG Avocado 22mm, but they sold the last one and never restocked at my local B&M, so I kinda just gave up on them, and a few weeks later found out about squonking, and the rest is history. :)

OTOH, next atty I buy is likely to be another Wasp Nano, silver deck with the polished cap.

I'm frugal and the Wasp is cheap, and having a second one as a backup would be nice.

What do you guys think of the cloak squonk mod? I've never seen it or heard it mentioned on VU. See it on FB every now and then though.

Bonk, Bonk, Bonk!

Got a liter of 18mg per ml Nicotine in all VG heading my way from Heartland Vapes. Bought a few non-vaping items from FastTech. Saw the Wofoto Serpent rda. Anyone given it a go? Thoughts, opinions?

Flavor is really good on the authentic, I don't see the clone being a bad buy for anyone...based off my comparison of the Haku Phenom I did...

As for any RSA coil positioning can play part of flavor experience.

The Venna has about 20% less air wide open than the Haku phenom/cruiser...I've used it with my black Ultem Haku cap which leaves the top hole and a smidge of the bottom hole open and to me that is perfect draw lol...but looks silly so I just turn down the stock cap...

If caps come about with either hole only, I'd grab one...and I honestly believe for the way I Vape just the bottom hole alone would of been perfect.

It really is a nice Vape...and if the clone is as close as the Haku phenom clone was...save yourself and get the clone.

I might buy one and do another comparison for posterity.

I've been away, but still squonkin' I have a question for any Basic users: I love everything about this RDA, but I cannot get it to produce some flavors well at all and I've tried a few builds and coil positions. Is it just not well suited for dessert flavors? I mean like something as simple as Strawberry Jam Monster tastes absolutely nothing like everything exactly the same build-wise from a Wasp Nano. I tried going low like a .2 ohm clapton, a .3 ohm round wire, and even a .45 spaced round wire. None of them taste right, no strawberry, toast, or butter just a strange "off" flavor. Same exact coils/cotton in the Nano, I can taste the toast/buttery notes and the strawberry up front and center. But if I run something simple like a one-note candy juice in the Basic it tastes spot on. I've tried placing the coils low so the air flow is hitting right on the side, and I've tried placing the coils higher up so the airflow hits the bottom or even below the coil.

Any thoughts?

Was the Basic cleaned properly before being used? Wire you're using clean? Hands clean when building the coils and wicking?

I do extensive cleaning to any RSA... The Venna pictured above went through 6 passes in my Ultrasonic... 60 minutes and 6 (Distilled) water changes...

I mention the Wire and hands being clean, for I had used some N80 wire not long ago which I thought was clean, it was not...it was driving me nuts thinking the RSA I was using was still dirty...I ran it through the USC...Boiled the bits...built the coils a few times... then I said eff it and tried my new spool of wire I had bagged up still... and flavor was crisp and clean lol.

I can't speak for the Basic, don't own one. But I would look at the things that can add an off flavor, which I mentioned above.

Good luck!

Yeah, not ultrasonic cleaner clean but I'm pretty meticulous about everything. Absolutely everything the same as I use in my Nano or any build. It isn't so much an off flavor like contaminants, but off in that the flavors of the juice that are coming through aren't the usual flavor profile. I mean I can tell it is strawberry but it isn't the jammy strawberry it should be but more a hint of strawberry. If I would vape it in the Basic as it is now, without knowing what juice it was supposed to be I'd think it was a strawberry milk juice. That is the closest I can peg the flavor I get from the Basic on this. I literally took the coil and cotton out of the Basic and put it straight into a Hadaly and it tasted normal. It could be an off flavor from the RDA itself. I will clean it really thoroughly with alcohol and see if that changes things.

Have a question for the crew.

I've heard to get a Hadeon Entheon style cap for the Entheon...Now, I was looking on 3F and thought about just buying a $10 clone but I noticed the cap is more less the Hadaly style dual air flow but they don't exactly line up well leaving one air slot open for leaks on each side and in the pics looks to not even be fully open with part of the deck side blocking the air slot.

Is this how all the hadeon caps are?

It's supposed to make the Entheon vape like the Hadaly

Yea, I heard it's for improved air flow but just wondered if all the caps fit like this or not?..extra second holes look about useless based on his pic...lol

That I do not know - I have real Hadalys, thought about getting Hadeon for the Entheon, but I do not dig the well on it enough to sink more dough into it

I apologize if the following sounds like a rant. With that being said.
The Aspire Revvo is a frigging Clearomizer.
Come on people just call things what they are and stop buying into all the mislabeling. It isn't rebuildable period. It uses a replaceable coil just like any other frigging Clearomizer uses...Nuff Said!

I did say it wasn't rebuildable. But, the vape it provides is the same as an RDTA, and it's squonkable. I was merely pointing out options for squonkable tanks.

Found out that the Dot RDTA is also squonkable...

Might just buy a regular Entheon clone and enlarge the air flow holes...see how that works instead of a Hadeon cap....NOT going to do that to my authentic Entheon however....I still haven't put a build on the authentic Hadaly or Entheon yet...I probably should with my newly acquired mods coming in to put them on.

Should have the L'Octopus and Purge mod middle of next week to add to collection.

LOL. Just wait until Google's or Facebook's AI systems become sentient/self-aware and like Skynet in Terminator or the Machines in The Matrix, decide that humans are an infection that needs to be eliminated...
Those were mild in comparison to (Virus 1999) or (Hardware 1990)**

what material are the contacts? are make-break points nice and broad, and which 510 would be my questions
Agreed, haven't seen any of that yet.
Pure silver contracts and the mods are delrin. oh and the 510 is a moddog nano.
Its called a cloak because it has that little piece that kinda hides all the stuff holding the contacts and allowing it to use pure silver since normally it's kinda soft for contacts. At least that's my understanding of it.
