I have long term disability insurance too. Maybe I should check into that.
I'm so sorry you are still having trouble breathing. It sucks. I finally am breathing pretty good now. Are you on oxygen?

I am not on oxygen and dont want it. Not long term at least. This is how my breathing is. They sent me to cardiac/pulmonary rehab. In rehab they would put me on a tread mill. No incline, normal walking speed. Within 2 minutes my fingertips will start tingling and I will get out of breath. If I continue I will get nausea followed by room spinning and hitting the floor.
I pushed this real hard one day at home. I really had no choice. My water was out and I needed to replace the pump. I was doing real good with it. I would work for 5 mins or so then sit in the shade for 15 to 20 mins and every three or 4 times doing this I would go into my moms house and enjoy the AC and some cold water. Problem is I did it too much, got too active and after 7 hours of this I was almost done when my vision instantly became crystal clear but everything was orange. and I mean bright stark brilliant orange. Thats how sharp my vision was. I knew I pushed myself into a deadly position and was done for the day. Thankfully the ex came over and finished it and we had water that night and the chest pains didnt last too long.

And thats what I get to deal with everyday, yet I still think i am very lucky :p

I wish!! Lol Taking Noah to school this week so I have to get up too early for a second shift worker. Add that to feeling like a borrowed mule at work, when I come home from work, I just go to bed. :D

I guess if you lose your car, either because you can't afford to get it fixed, or because your daughter INSISTS on being repaid, she'll have to take him to school herself, won't she. ;)

Oh of course not. She can't be late for work plus she'll bitch enough that I'll find him a way. This is the last week of school though. :)

I would just tell her to get over herself, and deal with her own offspring. ;) When you bring a child into the world, you are responsible for everything to do with that child; you can't just farm him out to your own parents -- they've already done their bit. This is just one of the reasons I'm 1000% against single parenthood -- it takes 2 people, and they should be married to one another.

I agree that it takes 2 to raise a child but I'm honestly glad that she's no longer with Noah's dad. He would've dragged her down into the mud that he perpetually lives in and really has no desire to get out of. I deal with her and her nuances by basically thinking that karma will visit her one day. After all, we all know that what goes around, comes back around.

Yep, it sure does. And I can certainly understand. Really glad I never married the first guy that got me pregnant, he was a woman-beater -- but it took being pregnant for me to see, he was never gonna change, so he would not only get drunk and beat ME, but our kid too. Really glad I got an abortion and went back to my parents. I ended up with the child I was meant to have, for good or ill -- HE is my karma, for sure. :D My husband says the same, so it worked out as it was meant to.

I can hope and have faith that the one who is meant for her will come along and be both good to her and Noah.

Afternoon fugees :)

Many years ago I learned not to wish ill will on anyone because there is no way in hell that I or anyone here can even dream up the misery that Karma can deal.
She’s my daughter so I don’t wish ill will on her at all. She’s a very selfish person and it’s going to get her eventually.

No shit! And wishing ill on others is the biggest damn rubber-band in the universe. :D

Yeah it's kinda hard to see that and know it's coming, you can warn them a zillion times, but they won't get it... till they get it. My son isn't selfish, but he IS often quite thoughtless, which usually surprises me, because he's not always that way -- when he was a kid, he was always very thoughtful about this or that -- reminding his dad that they had to get mom's teabags, for instance -- how many kids would even care? But now, he's using our truck till he's able to get a vehicle of his own... and he often acts like it's HIS truck that he just lets us use when it's convenient. We've had to correct him on that several times now, with reminders of how grateful he SHOULD be, to have such generous parents. And he says he is, but sometimes he seems to think it's his DUE or something.

Well Andria, that is kinda the way that generation is. The millennials are something else. The majority of them that I have ran into have no ethics. Like work ethics. I can pretty much say everyone here is probably like I was. You go to work to work, not to fuck off. Your there to earn a living. Not these millennials, they think they go to work to socialize and play on their phone all day and come and go as they please. They just dont give a fuck.

Yet what did we expect. Look at it, we let God be kicked from schools. Next we told parents if you hit your kids they will be taken away and you will go to jail. How many times have you heard of a young mom who slaps her kids hand in a store and then the cops are called. So kids dont get much discipline, they dont learn self control and to do things right the first time. Then we let the kids be told everyone is a winner, everyone gets a prize. Really? I never could understand that stupidity. How are kids gonna learn to try and work for something now? How will kids learn about compitition. Well, they didnt. And then as the icing on the cake, public schools have been turned into socialist indoctrination camps where they are taught they are owed. They dont have to earn anything because they are entitled.

I kinda knew this world was fucked when my nephew came home one day with some math that was kicking his ass. We sat down, went over his homework and when he went to bed he knew exactly how to figure out math problems like that. He got an F for it. He was not allowed to get the real correct number, he was to do all this fucked up math to guestimate the amount. Common core at its finest.

That same nephew is a prime example of a millennial. He was a spoiled ass brat. I tried and tried to turn him into a man but the GF and her momma fought me at every step. One thing he did get from me is work ethics. He got up and went to work ever morning regardless of anything. Hung over, too bad, if there was work, he was there. I was proud of him on that. This kid had three guys jump him one day and snapped his neck. He was paralized from the chest down from this and I watched this brat die because he refused to fight. He kept waiting for it to be done for him. He refused to do what doctors told him, fought everyone until the only place he had to stay was a nursing home. And that is where he died because he refused to get off his ass and try. Thats the millennials way.

Yeah, my son doesn't fit that profile at all. He's smart as hell, one of the very few people that actually gives me some competition at Jeopardy! :D Probably because, like me, he reads TONS of books, on every possible subject. He had a hard time with getting his busywork done in public school (so did I!), but since he decided to go for his degree, he's been right to the grindstone -- yeah he does other stuff, loves video games, he's in Toastmasters (actually he's an officer in his local Toastmasters chapter), likes to "hang" with his friends he's made at school, but he gets the work done, and it's *almost* all-A work -- even the math! -- he messed up a chemistry assignment in the last semester, which messed up his 4.0 GPA, brought it down to like 3.89 or something... but he's got a pretty good work ethic, which I guess he gets from his dad -- because as our son knows well, dad only calls in sick if he's calling in dead. :D The 2 days he missed due to the flu, I had to convince him that his entire plant did NOT want the flu, so he shouldn't be a dick and go to work sick.

And our son is well acquainted with the fact that he's our hope for the future -- nevermind procreating, he might have to support US when we're old! :giggle: So the electrical engineer field is a good one for him; it's very lucrative, unlikely to be outsourced to some fucking 3rd world country, and he's definitely got the math and science skills for it.

Afternoon fugees and GFY :)

Went to see the cardiologist yesterday. He said "damn, your still alive?" so I guess everything is ok :giggle:

I hate going to his office. He isnt a bad doctor but his practice kinda sucks. I had a 3 pm appointment. I signed in at 2:57. At 3:40 they called me back for getting my stats and the girls did an EKG on me. Maybe 5 minutes total. They knew I wasnt happy because my blood pressure was 160/100 and I told them waiting like that pisses me off. So they took me to an exam room where I had to wait and wait and wait again. At 4:20 the doc walks in. Yeah, I reached the boiling point lol After a short discussion on what I thought about an hour and a half wait he decided to check my blood pressure himself to see if I was calming down any :teehee: I was down to 130/80 and my norm is 120/70 so yeah, I was starting to calm down lol

I was referred to a cardiologist once, because of the severe arrhythmia I was experiencing. I also ended up waiting about 90 mins for the fucking doc to show his face, with similar results to my pulse and BP. Turned out, someone had a heart attack right outside his office, so NATURALLY he felt it necessary to rush right out and see about it, and nevermind those waiting on his ass who had appts. Guess he never heard of 911.

And it turned out that my heart won't skip a beat on command, while I'm being wanded by ultrasound. Only when I'm totally stressed... like waiting 90 mins for a doc to show his face, or anytime I'm taking in too much caffeine while also stressed about money. Which was pretty much all the time, about 8-10 yrs ago. It's really a miracle I survived to become a vaper! :giggle:

It seems that our first ECF Refugee thread is getting too large.
Thus this sequel.

Enjoy and have fun is the only rulz here.
Well aside from the VU rulz that is.

I then posted a thread in general discussion forum about "CENSORSHIP" .

I was immediately banned and thread was pulled just as fast. Lol. They can keep the $1. Lol

Good morning all  Another lovely hot and humid day on tap here in NC. Ugh...Off to work later ugh... Good day yesterday though. Took Noah to school for the last day of school. He was so pumped yesterday morning to the point that he was bouncing off the walls. Since they got out at lunch time his mommy picked him up and took us both out to lunch. She paid for it too. :)
@JuicyLucy I just want you to know that I'm very jealous even though you are in volcano zone. Have fun!!
I hope everyone has a great Saturday and don't forget to GFY! :giggle:

A stupid fucking dog was off its leash and chased Tuxie up a tree. Mate almost got her down, but she jabbed him with her claws and ran off, so now we have no idea where she is. I guess she'll come back when she remembers where her food is.

Tuxie knows which side her tuna is buttered on and will be home when she is ready. She is a cat after all. :)

Whats an ECF refugee?

Getting concerned, is VU monitoring the number of immigrants? Do we need border controls or quota's perhaps? Are we gonna see people chanting "they took our threads" before long.

I hope there is no positive discrimination policies in place with the mods at VU that causes ECF refugees to get favourable treatment over VU natives - Has anyone looked into that......
