Hello Coil Gurus

I'm considering picking up a Herakles III, I need to know if it will take the regular Herakles coils? Not the plus... I'm talking about the original Herakles coils that are the same size as the Atlantis coils.

P.S. Do you know any other tanks that use these coils? I've got 7 packs of them and want to put them to use.

The Herakles 3 takes V-Jet coils, shorter and fatter than your og coils. It also takes new mesh coils and the upcoming Herk 3 025 will have 2 of them included.

The issue with og Herakles coils is lack of top threads. Heard they will work in the Triton and Triton v2. There is a Herakles Honor that is a top fill version of the original but reports of a few quirks too.

Some have slightly modified the Herakles coils to work in a few other tanks.

I don't know if the Triton v2 is still available. You might still be able to find an og bottom fill Herakles. Get the stainless not black- much easier to see the air flow control settings behind the heat fins.

I have 2 og. Herakles tanks and a couple Triton V1's. Was just wondering about any others that may take them. Thanks for the input!

I hear with minor modifications.... Melo 2, iJust 2. With more finagling, Starre/Maganus. Not sure worth the trouble. And some old oddballs like the Silo Beast.

I don't know on the Atlantis Evo.

Apparently the most popular remaining Atlantis style tank, the Super Tank Mini, is a no-go with Herakles coils.

Always wondered how the Herakles coil with small wicking holes could keep up like that and almost never dry hit. More recent Sense coils, like most others, can't do it.
