Mike H. here....had to start new account as I couldn't get into my old email to get my password..been away for a bit.

Anyhow I'm back wondering what's new in the squonk world and what's good from it all...I'm still rocking my VT75 inbox and maze2 rda but ready to try something different.

So last I recall the coppervape was a good low cost squonkers of which I bought 2 of and have to agree.

What's new and good?

I have both regulated and mechanical.

I have a lost vape therion 75 squonker.
Hcigar VT75 inbox squonker
2 coppervapes..one SS the other brass.
A Sonar 505 custom wood mech squonker.

I suppose I'm looking for those good $30 or less squonkers that might work well.

The good old Pico Squeeze at $16 from FT is still the best deal going if you run atties under 24mm

In the under $30 category there isn't that much good stuff still, plenty of crap that ain't worth it mainly, lol

Lol, guess that's why they're blowing it out for next to nothing

There are tons of cheap plastic squonkers from China that are not worth a penny if you actually want to vape it

The 510 connections spin, bottles are often brittle (the Crea bottles ain't that bad though) and the battery sag is horrendous and then they break quickly

Take the $20 CV2 - JANKY AS HELL

When you squeeze the squonk bottle it pushes the door off - and the stem in the 510 puts off a brassy taste

S Rabbit clone! $11 freakin dollars!! I have version C
https://m.fasttech.com/p/9622177

Easy to maintain, adjustable 510, minimal voltage drop, only con is the bottle that come with it may leak but it's compatible with most of those "regular" bottles

Literally nothing wrong with it if it's taken care of
IMG_20180413_100821-1209x1612.jpg

Also decided skipping the ribbon and using a flathead screwdriver to pop out the battery, simple

I was interested in the Anita - until I read the damned thing uses ABS for the frame. Pass - that's for mini cars and hybrids ;-)

what's the problem with the ABS...I'm sort of more concerned about the quality of the board.

I have the Hugo Squeezer squonk mod for $26 from FT & I really enjoy it. Read the discussions on FT, lots of people got it & loved it, so I ordered & doesn’t disappoint. I mainly run Ni80 Fused Clapton’s in it so far .32 ohms.

I just feel that for >$40, I want some metal in the frame. The Hugo squonk was less, and came with more goodies - which is fine to start. The Gbox 200 was my upgrade, and I spent still more to ditch the proprietary-bottle nonsense - and add a few RDA's.

I agree, I'd worry about the board as well - be nice if we have a one-stop-shop/thread about these bloody boards. I was even curious if the Arctic Fox would eat the Arctic Dolphin.

I see 2 versions of it online, one with a weight of 150g ( assuming ABS ) and one that is 200g ( assuming the Aluminum version )

I submitted a ticket to the one labeled 200g for clarification ;) Either way, decent looking mod and cheap and regulated for those who aren't good with building coils or dialing in their vape.

Have to correct myself also, pre sales have it as low as $31 some places. Just have to google ;)

EDIT: For instance...

OK, that's just weird - I'll keep watching for your results. Yeah, I can live with an AL frame for that - the ABS version, to me, would almost be a throwaway.

I had a little wraith and I gotta say I was surprised at how well it held up for only costing 40,00, maybe I got lucky and got one of the few good ones.

You are lucky - many of us had the bottom door go cattywampus on us

I also greatly disliked the board

It could have been a very good mod

I'd have to assume the same as their 80w mod already out there, maybe with a different firmware or the same.

Here is Daniel's run down of their 80w mod... I would bet that its the same chip...

It could have been a very good mod

Instead, it was the worst of mods, it was the best of mods, ...

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.

So I got a response from the ticket I submitted... Needless to say there was some loss in translation... so I responded asking for better clarification LOL

I've gotta try some of these out...regulated squonker I'm happy with so far..VT75 inbox and list vape therion 75 bf.

On that note i have the wotofo nudge on it's way to try out.

If I decide to go with a top notch mechanical where can I find the Orca mods?

The bodies are made in Italy by Floris Delfino - you have to finish the body yourself and build the inside yourself with parts you acquire or find a modder to do it for you

Floris Box - Ecwid

There are many options for the guts, depending on what you are looking to get from the squonker vs how much you are willing to spend

Wasn't there someone on here that built the orca and sold them?

He is no longer an active member - you might find him on the Floris FB page if he is still building

Not a low cost option though, lol
Yea I know but thinking I need at least one high end mech squonksquo the collection...I suppose my lost vape therion would be my higher end regulated squonk at this point.

What's the box with that octopus symbol on it...how's that box and where do I find one?

I have one of those also, the V1.

My only gripe with it is that it requires a small/short squonk bottle - but very nicely made, very responsive

They are mainly sold through Vapes by Enushi in Canada

I don't have one yet (but one is in the mail!) but the Spade by Vicious Ant looks very promising

Good Lord @ $175...lol sigh

That is the cheap one, lol - they can go much higher. But, those silver contacts make for an amazing vape :)

About the same as a Little Orca with silver contacts, etc.

I got a nudge. It’s just in the ok category. The bottle is silicone but too dark to see your juice. With the fuse in there it’s tight on the inside. Hard to get the bottle in and out without squeezing juice out of the tube. That can be fixed by making a hole on the other side of the mod just big enough to give the bottle a little push when you are taking it out. I have read where some people say they have horrible voltage drop with it. I haven’t noticed it really but it’s possible some of the connections aren’t soldered well.
Anyway all that babbling to say that for the price it’s not the worst thing out there.

I'll certainly see how I like...I'm thinking any voltage drop is coming from the spring loaded 510...most I guess are steel which can add resistance...I might see how upgradeable it is maybe change a few things or jyst set it aside like some others I have...time will tell...Appreciate the feedback on that.

Received this today..picked it up used for less than $20 shipped...I'm liking it...Wotofo Nudge...I actually feel it hits plenty hard...better than most I've got that are mechanical...I would recommend it personally especially for what I paid for it.

Yea, I've looked at the internals and they are all so similar...I might check out that custom colored octopus clone next...maybe some good guts can be put in the box if it sucks.

You can find 99.9 silver strips 6in long on Etsy. Just got two in the mail today. 10 bucks a piece but worth it.
