I just bought a new efest batteries . I charge the batteries normally but I leave the battery in my mod over night . When I use the mod next day it says low battery and batteries are literally 0%

What's wrong?

I think your problem are the set of Efest batteries. These are usually rewraps of “B” batteries from manufacturers like Samsung, Sony, etc..

Plus you should refrain from using the usb to charge.. get a 18650 charger instead.

Could be either of these issues...IMO

My neighbor bought some Efest's a few weeks ago.
Not working out for her either. They only last a few hours in her Drag.

Look here for the exact battery and link it back here. Some wraps say they have amps and they don't really have. Over rated.

Stay with Sony VCT5A, VCT6, Samsung 30Q, or even LG for 18650's

Could be mod malfuntion/short, and if your running one of the crappier efest, either could be a safety hazard. What wattage do you run it at?

I have heard not to charge batteries using the USB for 4 years and I have to ask these people who tell me this that they are suggesting I disassemble and remove the built in battery to charge the MOD's with built in batteries huh? I have 2 4 bay chargers but I never have enough open ports to charge my cells and use the USB on my Smok Alien and Cuboid Tap to charge cells all the time. Also the USB is plugged into one of the Workstations in my Network Rack~! This is not the days of years passed where charging circuits were not advanced.

Thanks guys for help .

I've made a small test
I left the batteries outside the mod for a night and when I woke up I got them back in the mod and they were fully charged ..

So the problem isn't in the batteries, it's in mod
But what could be wrong with the mod ?

I don't know what the problem is, but if it were me, I wouldn't use the mod until I found out. If a mod is doing something it shouldn't do, then it is a potential problem that could turn into a big problem. If it's your only mod you should look into getting another.

Smok t-priv Regulated mod
  1. So when you plug in the USB does the screen light up and acknowledge its been plugged in?
  2. Just out of curiosity have you tried to upgrade the unit is it recognized by the computer?
  3. What USB block are you using to connect it to the outlet - Wattage/Amps?
Asking these questions to help isolate the problem you got.

How did the batteries left out of the MOD get charged? You did not say you charged them. How did you determine they were fully charged?
