The wood is Black Palm. The maker is a local bloke who is a disabled veteran, and a new friend! He is currently making me a Black Oak styled one in the same wood.

We just came up with names.....So the one that is my style mod is called the duke. The tank style is the governor and the full mech is the bounty hunter.

Excellent! So I have a Duke and a Governor...with a Bounty Hunter on the way! Oh, I'm in a buying mood and NOT busy tomorrow evening.

I compared the dimensions last nite and its bigger than a Hammond G box, but a whisker smaller than the B box. Acrylic has a tendency to crack and vein with weather and time, but with that being said I think it's real close to being a huge seller.

As far as I can tell it's CNC milled from plate not injection molded. Look at the tool marks and major wall thickness. (Could explain the weight.) Can't mold that thick without fillers, which it clearly doesn't have. Machined obviously has no molded in stress points and knit lines, and with greater wall thickness gonna be stronger in every way. Not your typical molded plastic. ;)

A friend built this for me. He calls it the cosmo box. Limited edition, serial # 00 (looks like OC). Wired in series for 8.4V unregulated on full batteries.

I'm new to 8.4V unregulated. I've been running a 1.2ohm (aprox 58w) and 0.6ohm (aprox 117w). I have an Authentic Mutation X V2 I haven't built yet. Any suggestions for a nice high power build? Airflow is pretty much unrestricted, 0.4ohm (176w)? 0.3ohm(235w)? I have plenty of Sony's to slap in there but even at 0.3ohm (235w) it only pulls 28A so I'm not too worried.

EDIT: Built the Mutation @ 0.5ohm ~140watts. Fantastic vape!!!

I have another Hammond box coming. Triple 18650, yellow with red splatter and hand painted hot dogs. It shall be called the "Oscar Meyer Weiner". A sort of poke at the "Mad Weiner" box.

Just curious since I know very little about serial setups. Is the full amperage delivered going to the first battery in serial? If so, what kind of resistance do you build when using these to stay safe?

That is a very good looking wood box mod. I wish they would include the mosfet and resistor in the build. If they would, I would buy one.

That's what is keeping me away from buying a wood box mod. The mosfet and resistor. Very few have them, and those I have found that do, cost more than a new Sig.

They are easy to install bud there is a another pretty neat box I saw on fast tech that was kinda hidden let me find it not wood but cool idea

I am very happy..

but now i need to figure out how to put magnetics on the back and dump the screws.. grr..
but i do like the thing.. it's cool!! :p
