Yep there was 2 choices for color on most mods back in the day.Stainless Steel or Black.I remember the first time I saw a Tiffany Blue mod about 3 years ago.It made me wish my first girlfriend were still around.Cause she would've dropped her...Never mind.

I agree with your wife. I don't like gold - all my jewelry is silver or white gold - and I don't like pink. I do like rose gold, though. Isn't that odd? Combine two things I don't like, come up with something I do.

The Sig coil that came with it (the 0.5 ohm) I ended up taking out because the thing was leaking into the air chamber. Twice I spilled juice all over myself. So I replaced it with a 0.5 ohm Steam Tribe coil, let it soak overnight. It isn't leaking, but it's like this coil doesn't absorb enough juice. I'm going to open up the tank and douse the coil with juice, but I suspect when I do that, it's going to leak again. At the moment it is burning my throat, and the last hit I took was dry.

I wonder if I had the gasket crimped, you know the one that's at the bottom part of the glass? Maybe that's why it was leaking before.

ETA: It's doing a little better now. I hadn't put much juice in the tank because I didn't want it to leak all over the place. Well, I took it all apart and doused the coil, and like I suspected, it leaked out of the air chamber. So I blew it out, dried everything off, put the tank back together, and filled it up with juice. Then I got a couple of not-so-bad hits from it at 18W, and when I bumped the wattage up to 20, it got cooler and smoother. I'll wait a while and see if the air chamber is full of juice again. I suspect that gasket is the culprit, at least partially. Also these coils (both the Sig and the Steam Tribe) are slower to heat up than the Nautilus or Zephyrus coils that I use in everything else.

Oh no! That's not good I use standard brand Atlantis coils in my Xtanks. I run mine at 21.5 ohm with a .5 coil. Juice is 70VG. On a rare occasion after I've been vaping it all day I'll get some condensation drip out of the airholes. But I've never had the fresh juice leak through. I'm not familiar with the Steam Tribe coils, so I can't really speak to how those perform.

No, don't have any Aspire Atlantis coils. I wish I did. Juice is 70 vg. I swear I think that gasket was crimped. Might need to be replaced, because it's pretty wimpy looking. (Wonder if an o-ring would work there? Probably not...) I went with the Steam Tribe coils for this because I've had good luck with their Nautilus-sized coils, but the one that really leaked badly was the one that came with the tank, which has Sigelei branding on it. The other thing about that coil - it just kept absorbing juice, until the cotton was bulging out of the intake holes around the base of the coil. Saturated? I'd say so! The Sig coil might have worked better with 80 vg juice.

Several other factors: Even though this juice is 70 vg, it is 12mg nic, so that may be part of the harshness I'm feeling. I have 70 vg 12 nic in the Zephyrus, but it's a smoother flavor, a maple & pancakes type thing. What I put into the X tank is a citrus ecto-cooler flavor. Wouldn't make it leak, but certainly could make a big difference in smooth/harsh. I didn't really order either of those juices to use in a sub-ohm tank; it's just that the place I was buying juice from stopped making a 50/50 mix for MTL. I didn't know then what I know now, thanks to all of you and some broadening of my own experience since I came here. Lastly, I may be drawing on it too hard and causing the coil to flood. I've lightened up on it.

So far it hasn't leaked any more. I hope I just overreacted, or that Sig coil was just a monster intent on scaring me half to death. Another MiniBook and X Tank are supposed to hit my mailbox on Monday, and it will be nice if I can use these tanks.

Just remember that with that juice exposed seal at the bottom of the glass, peppermint will proabably linger in the tank.

@nadalama At first I thought that you didn't have the coil tight enough. I went through that with my Baby Beast twice just last week. I finally remembered that when I cleaned it last time I just inserted the coil in with one twist because I didn't know if I wanted the .40 or .15 coil (depending on the juice I was going to put in it). I even changed both seals when it leaked the second time. Duh!

Your Peppermint Bark; is it mostly menthol? I use a spearmint flavored juice from Vista Vapors called "Fresh Menthol" but I don't vape it straight. I add it to any juice that has chocolate in it. (Yes, I know. Because of the flavor ban I'd better get my ass moving in the DIY forum.)

@Ms. Trixy the Peppermint Bark is pretty well balanced between mint and chocolate. What makes it so good, to me anyway, is that the mint is light and sweet, and it leaves a nice taste in your mouth for a little while afterwards. I can tell that the chocolate is a little more prominent today than it was yesterday, but that's good. It's still far from the point of tasting artificial or overpowering.

I love mint flavors, but the one I cannot handle is spearmint. Used to like spearmint gum when I was a kid, so don't know what changed.

Have we talked about mint and grape combination before? I know I've discussed it with someone, but think it was in the DIY thread. If you haven't tried that (and you don't detest grape), you should. It's yummy.

Now, see, that rings my chimes. A cluster of real stones on the top of a mod, next to the tank maybe. I could get into that. Rhodolite garnets and a citrine in the center, for Pete's sake. On that red MiniBook? A cluster of Swiss Blue Topaz on the battery cap of my Pico resin? Be still my heart.

I got a neochrome X-Piv kit. It's shiny as all hell. Finger print magnet. The only way to keep it smudge free is to wear gloves lol.

They also make it in pink. I think they got a pink version of everything. They do purple pretty well too. Almost everybody here will have you believe Smok is garbage, but I haven't had any problems.

I absolutely adore this one you found. The black/gold is sold out/discontinued everywhere. Been looking since you posted. FT and GB have the red and blue. I have gold tanks and attys with nothing to play with except my gold Alien. And even that isn't a match. Alibaba shows that you need to buy 5 but that's if you're a vendor of course. It won't tell you what's in stock. I just emailed them and also contacted them through their website.

I have some rainbow tanks and mods too and some stabwoods, I guess I like colorful gear and it must be dual battery too!

I ordered a Sigelei Evaya 66W mod yesterday. Found it on clearance at eightvape. Unfortunately, gunmetal was the only color they had for that price, and I can't afford to buy one at full price. They cost a lot for what they are, I think, but it's probably because they have that stabilized wood trim piece like the (original?) Sig Snow Wolf.

Have been trying to find a tank that will lighten it up a bit, but have decided after all to use just a Kabuki on it. I have two more on the way already, so one of them will have a home. Might be cute if I can find a good color of o-ring and a nice drip tip. Should have bought a drip tip at Angel's when the sale was on last week, but may yet go there.

You all may like the copper color of the Evaya, though, or the stainless. It's gorgeous, imo - good smooth lines and a bit elegant looking to me, I'd have chosen the copper but just can't afford it.

Also will have to wait until it gets here to pick anything else for it, because the wood trim is different on every one.

I went there with the intent of ordering one of their abalone wraps for my Pegasus, and they don't have the Pegasus model listed any more. I know they used to, because I saw it. Ended up having to order from Vapor Skinz, and after my experience with the wrap I used on my Spark, I am apprehensive. (That other wrap didn't come from Vapor Skinz, but basically I'm just paranoid about anybody EXCEPT Jwraps now.)
