Looking for RDA for great flavour

I'm fairly new to vaping, used it to quit smoking and now it's a hobby. I got tired of tanks and bought an iJoy combo RDTA which is nice, but bought an RDA base for it because I don't want the tank.

I hear lots of people say that an RDA/RDTA should give better flavour than a tank but that doesn't seem to be the case with the combo. It's good, but not amazing.

I'm now looking for an RDA that will give me better flavour than the combo, and any opinions will be appreciated.

Don't know if it matters but I use cotton bacon v2 for wicking.

Single or dual coil? Smaller chamber rdas will be the way to go for more flavor. The Apocalypse is a dual bit has pretty decent flavor. If single coil I'd say wasp nano, sxk Haku clone, sxk hadaly clone is also great for flavor but single coil. I still get great clouds an great flavor from single coil rdas.

I prefer dual coil tbh. None of the shops i've ordered from seem to have the apocalypse except one, but it's sold out :\ Any others? Also any you'd recommend from theravape? I have like 2500 points there lol

Yeah for dual coil definitely the Drop, I didn't think it would live up to the hype but it's fucking good. I do like the Dead Rabbit but I think the Drop is better.
I prefer single Coil RDA'S as I get better flavour from my Hadaly or Gorge but the Drop is an exception!

I finally got my Drop set up right after a few false starts. I'm running it with a single 3.5mm id 4x30/40 SS at 5 wraps. It is very, very good flavor. I've been using 3 Shenray clone Hadalys for about 5 months now and that's my benchmark. I've tried a handful of other RDAs that all have good reviews and lots of fans but they've all fallen far short. The Drop is so good I could use that all day, and I will. I'll be getting at least two more of them with my next order. And I think they look good as well.

I haven't tried too many builds yet, but I like my Drop even more with dual coils (ss triple core fused claptons (wrapped by me from advanced wire supply wire spools). The precise airlflow adjustability is best I've tried, and let's me get it just right with no whistling.
My only con is that the top cap gets pretty warm. Changing drip tip to a taller Half Moon Mods tall boy style 810 overcomes that concern and looks great too. The taller narrow tip might also slightly be improving flavor vs. wide bore 810s.

I can recommend the Goon 1.5 RDA. With a nice set of coils, this RDA is an absolute beast. Maybe try using a set of Fused Claptons, or Framed Aliens or Framed staples. You will really live this RDA. I got mine from Cigabuy I think @OhmzRaw reviewed this RDA and posted this deal. It was a bargain!! Best $$$ ever spent.

I'm a flavor chaser and found the Cosmonaut give me awesome flavor and pretty good clouds. I agree with VapeO about the Goon 1.5 RDA, using both with aliens or fused claptons but have been using the Cosmonaut more, also very easy to build . Just my 2 cents:)

Well I'm your first then. It wasn't bad but the one that I got had major oring tolerate issues. It was a bitch to get on and off. Personally I like the DR better. Everyone's different tho. The flavor was alright on the drop. I'll admit the DR is more finicky to build but once you find your sweet spot it's much better. Especially if you are using it as an RSA. Your never gonna over squonk, it's solid as fuck

Awesome, I have one on order!

I almost recommend the Augvape Templar, flavor and airflow wise it's a 10/10, but the single screw clamp system can be a bit frustrating with getting two coils in there with no shorts...I haven't had it long though

This is IMO the best way to arrange your coil setup. I get very good flavor. I have a nardA and love it too, but this is more even in starts as the nardA is flavor and that's it. I do like how flavorful MTL can be with the nardA.

The nardA is versatile too, doing restricted lung to tight MTL but the deck imo is absolutely not versatile and very finicky.

Another vote for the drop here - orings are a little tight and it can be a pain to snip the leads away but apart from that not much else wrong with it it’s a superb RDA

The Oumier VLS and Conspiracy RDAs i really enjoy as well all three are up there though drop peaks the other two in flavour performance

Edit Templar rda is also up there but mounting is a tiresome bitch

I have a YFTK version of this in my cart. How would you describe the airflow and flavor? I need a flavor monster with mildly restricted lung hit.

Actually pretty good on flavor. Just make sure your coil is small enough to fit in the coil slot. But even wide open airflow. Isn't that open. I like it for sure.

For flavor
Darang V1
Darang V3
Narda
Wasp Nano
Anya
Mose
United Chaos

More Clouds but still great flavor
Kennedy
Reload 22mm
Reload 24mm

The Apocalypse and Goon are good RDA'S but they're more for clouds but they do have decent flavor.

That shouldn’t be an issue considering I stick to simple round wire builds. This is my wish list on FT at the moment...would love suggestions. I’ve read the Entheon is similar to the Wasp with more restrictive airflow (maybe too restrictive for my vaping style) but better squonking. The NarCa is looking particularly good based on what I’ve read and the reviews. I want something where I can easily install a coil in line with the airflow, with excellent flavor, and that isn’t too restrictive. I use my Wasp with airflow half closed.

The best rda I've ever used and have gotten 2 so far is the Le supersonic. It's a pain for me to build on because I use bigger coils but for a single wire build it would be great. The issue is mounting the coils. Just screw heads and no plate. I've never tried a narca so not much help from me there. Supersonic is definitely more restriction than the wasp. Think wasp 2/3 closed. Pic is of the supersonic deck

But now I hear the flave is another amazing rda. I'm not sure if the build deck. The Entheon is a really good one too. I like that it comes with the beauty ring. And you can get aftermarket caps for them from never normal website.

I recently got the flave as a recommendation and can vouch that's it's a decent RDA. One of my favourites along with the Hadaly

Well that’s good to hear...I just bought a 22mm Flave RDA from a forum member and should have it in a couple days.

Entheon will definitely stay on my list, as well as Supersonic for now...but based on what I’m hearing, those may both be a tad restrictive for my style.

Supersonic has more restriction than the Entheon that I can remember. But the super isn't too bad restriction I don't think. Kinda surprised that I like it as much as I do. But I don't mind a little more heat.

I do so agree with that, but you call a little tight becomes more and more an issue for me. Don't get me wrong love the drop, but I'm not sure iif mine might have a faulty deck.

The o rings from the start were very tight, I needed my husband to open it, I looked at them and they were a bit damaged, I exchanged them. It was a tiny bit easier, still had to put lots of efforts in it to open, exchanged the rings one more time. Thinking that after a couple uses the juice will just lubricate it. While its easier, still have to grab vape tweezers and use the opener to get the dumb cap off. Same for the top. Mine doesn't snap in place either like everyone else's, I have to push very hard to get it to close. By now I drip through the drip drip, but if I need to change anything its hell of a time removing that cap. My airflow barely moves too, I nearly cut my finger on the upper knurling just to get the upper row closed, gave up after lol.

Anything I'm missing here? Its not the o rings or maybe I need to grab some from a different RDA and see if they do better. I feel like a moron but I like that RDA so much that I wish someone finds the problem lol. Still using it tho every day

Recently picked up a Hobo V2 clone cheap at a local b&m, it's marked A-Mod and is very well built, has a real solid heft to it for such a small RDA.

A little tight to build on, but the flavor is up there with my wasp nano, stellar for a dual coil than can make some clouds.

I hear the reload is an amazing dual coil attie that is a flavor factory, but no personal experience with it myself.

I can suggest picking up a Hobo however, it's very different than every other RDA and quite attractive as well.

As for the tightness of the o rings, just spread a tiny bit of juice on then and wipe some off. That's what I always do and it helps. It seemed after the first couple uses it loosened up though.

It doesn't, neither does removing o rings (upper/lower, lower/upper). My cap is not loosening anywhere. I use this RDA on a daily basis, chain vaping up to 4 hrs on it at a time, running 45-60 ml of juice through it (daily) and I own it for over 4 months I think? thank you for the advise, but by now it should have more than enough time and break in. But its OK there will always be better RDA's out there.

I know right lol. But nah, normally I run my single coil atties, but I've gotten a new squonker for review and sadly I need to run that drop with a stupid low build :( so 45 ml go quickly but that's why I diy I guess lol. Need too test it somehow before giving an opinion.

Maybe take a fine file or sandpaper and smooth it flat on the outer edge? Maybe taking a little of the diameter off will help.

Drop rda
Goon
Cosmonaut

Drop is super easy to build on and as said before air flow options are top notch
Cosmonaut has space for pretty much any coil and in my opinion its the best looking rda ive seen
Honourable mention to the recurve rda, for me a lovely warm flavorable vape....but only been using for a week so cant say i know it inside out. The drop just an awsome all rounder can't go wrong with it (im my opinion)

Dude, you should find a ShenRay clone of the Hadaly. You might think starting out with dual coils will be all cool and fun and neat and shit, but dual coils can really be a pain in the ass.

I have an authentic Hadaly, it's well worth the money but would definitely recommend the clone if money is an issue.
Also it's a myth people saying dual coil equals more flavor. My Hadaly has the best flavor i have had from an RDA an i even prefer my ammit 25 over my dual coils. I have not had it long but i am in love with it. Saves battery life, better juice consumption and as you said dual coils can be a pain!!
