Thanks mate  yeah I just saw that serial haha can you imagine!

Think it’s a default number they use for samples although I could be wrong probably the top line is the serial and bottom denotes batch perhaps? No idea :bingo:
Mine has the same top number. So the bottom would be serial or like you said batch. Most likely all samples have a 1, but it would be way cool if it meant 1st one. And I hijacked ur pic :teehee:

I been using 4id as well. No pics and I was going to wick it this am but no time.
I keep the CB thick when threading it because I want enough tail to work @ where the cotton makes the turn.

Once threaded I move it back and forth to loosen what's making contact with coil.
A bit looser than some other builds whilst still having contact. Some dry hitting could be from having it too tight in the coil.

Then I fluff and fashion the tails so after juiced I know it won't be compressed by the chimney or in the wicking channels. I did a little measuring and after screwing down the chimney, there's right about 2mm of space between top of deck where wick is and top of chimney cap, however, I go with the top of the deck as my guide to be flush > after juiced. I wanted it to be fluffy after juiced. I initially checked using the broad flat end of tweezers, to see that it didn't press it in.

I also gave it a thin little down the channel to about the bottom of the screw,< Result for channel is like less than half the depth is cotton, and after juice > zero chance of compression or touching threading.
So I'm mindful of that when the cotton is dry. Juiced and using the tweezers, I "gauged" it the first time.
this.png

I burp it when filling.
35+ ml of juice and I get a couple minor specs under the tank about every 2-3 fills. So not spotless.
Nothing called leaking or seeping tho.
No dry or anemic hits. Just full on flavor.

How do you go about wicking it eStorm? Always welcome more info :)
Oh I'm just doing the basic method of Scottish roll because I always do that, but than putting the tails right into the wicking channel, so I cut them right above the lower o ring of the base, not like you that short lol. I'll try maybe later but I got good results with just the regular way. I can try taking a picture tonight as well, right now I'm at work and my husband is running around with the kylin mini to give me his opinions. We always do that, so we can get 3 different or equal opinions from different people with different styles, before coming to an overall conclusion, but I'm sure they will agree, I just figured it out before these two did and moved back to my less frustrating rta's lol.

I have the same nr too since I won that same giveaway and we got that "same" sample apparently lol. At least we can be sample buddies?!:rolleyes:

Yes I can chain vape that with long inhales/pulls, without getting a burnt hit or even close to dry hit, in fact mostly I vape that setup at around 65 watt and most likely run out of juice or get nic sick lol. I need a 30ml addon that would be nice ...

Quad core parallel fused clapton, 28Gx4/36G, 4mm ID, 6 wraps. But I have used my staggered fused or triple core parallel fused as well. It really depends if I want to vape in tc that day or not, or/and which juice I plan on using or how warm/hot/cool I want it. Yeah I'm that picky lol

Edit, I do not close my airflow at night or even when filling my tank. I use kendo cotton gold, that drinks and holds juice like no tomorrow after being broken in, therefore I don't need to watch airflow/juiceflows in most setups.

alright I've gotten lots of hate for just suggesting that i wick it the regular way. From im not a reviewer to other insults via private msg. and its true im not a reviewer but at least i have an asshole aka opinion just like everyone else, i dont mind being attacked but one thing im not is an idiot. ( thank you kingpin for not being one of them :inlove:)

drama out of the way, my husband of course is working and with that the kylin mini. so i went to the store and picked up another one, to show my quad core parallel fused Clapton, @3.5 mm (wanted to try a bit different today and cooler), 8 wraps reading 0.38 ohm. Stainless steel 316l of course. Using the regular wicking technic, were I cut my cotton right at the bottom of the wicking channel or barely above bottom o ring, laying my tails right into the wicking channel.

I'll however include a picture of a tool, I believe is called chimney key, that is not included in the sample or final retail version. I do think it should of been because that's the only way to stop it from leaking as others mentioned, when using thinner juices and not using a different wicking method. But a different wicking method is not gonna fix that, if the chimney is loose, if yours isn't great but mine always is/was prior. I'll be using the key that came with my kensei, since the deck/chimney is nearly identical.

Anyways enough wall of text, here are the pictures:

I may be paranoid and new at RTAs, but I brought my Kylin and Kylin Mini to my shop to have him check my cotton because I'm surprised it's lasting so long. (A week or so). I'm used to swapping damn Cloud Beast King coils every 3-4 days.

So, if the flavor is still good, I'm good to go?

Coils don't look too gunky at all, cotton isn't burnt.

Do you get a burnt taste when it needs re-wicking? Leaking.

Thanks again everyone.

Yep same thing will happen with the burnt taste when it comes to re-wicking ....

once a week is fairly standard but sometimes you can go longer depends what you run through it and wattage vaped at

I’m not sure if I should start a new thread or keep replying here , if so, let me know .

Has anyone used Demon Killer cotton? I rewicked my Kylin with it and it seems to be decent.

Its more like the regular make up pads, not the muji or whatever they called, you know the weird UD cotton pads you get with every order from China? Yea those just mostly not in pad format lol.

I never use them, same with included coils, because you just never know what it is, if its clean and so on. But if you enjoy it ColdDayInHell by all means stick with it, but when her out, it doesn't hurt to try different brands.

I just dropped my Kylin and broke the expansion glass. What a mess. Ugh !

Not sure if sarcasm...

It’s been a long day.

I’ve never broken glass. Ever. Of course the day after my friend at the shop told me to ditch the chimney and glass because I was complaining about lack of flavor a few weeks ago, this happens.

First world problems. Hopefully no glass shards went into the deck but it shattered into large shards.

The biggest issue was cleaning my mod , G-Priv 2. I thought rubbing alcohol and q-tips but I just went into the basement and fired up the big air compressor and blew most of the juice out of the buttons. I saw a disassembly video and it looked like a dumpster fire. I’ve taken iPhones apart , I can build computers, wire up a house. But NO THANK YOU with that thing. I’d rather buy a new 2 battery mod.

What do you all run for mods? Sorry if this doesn’t belong here. Moderator /OP can move this if necessary.

She's as honest as the day is long.

OOO000, I like spending other ppl's money

How much ya got? :)

I have to bring my doge to the vet tomorrow so who knows how much that’ll cost. I just bought some rock sliders for the Wrangler. Few other toys.

I dig for deals on eBay for mods. This G Priv2 I bought at the shop because my Alien 220w 510 was all fucked up. I just said fuck it I’ll take that and be on my way (Cloud Beast King tank) back then.

Nothing fancy. No mech mods.

Maybe you'll try something besides smok this time.
Maybe something in the regulated mod forum instead of Kingpin!'s review thread. More input that way too.

No scarcasm, it was a oh no! In sympathy .

I love my Asmodus Minikin’s v2. Have 2 & they still work & look like new. Even recently Asmodus put out a firmware update even though the mod has been out for quite some time. Comfortable to hold & the battery life is awesome. I recently got the Lustro but it went back for an exchange because of a scratch on the screen. Haven’t spent enough time with it to recommend yet.

Closing airflow/JFC?
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Closing airflow..
So to clarify, knowing my tank isn’t leaking I would close the AFC, turn it off, and put my setup in my pocket when traveling short distances.. however usually when walking from my parking to the office I leave it on and in my pocket without closing the AFC since I’d bust it out and vape as I walk when I’m not around other people, as a courtesy..

Vape Fan's method also works. Ain't that about a bitch.

Whenever I begin to open the AF, I await a river of shit. Not this time.

Really though, whenever I get it right OR wrong:

Kingpin! Thank you so much for the wicking tutorial. I bought this rta a couple of weeks ago (my first rebuildable ever) and your wicking method is the only one that's worked for me. You're a bloody legend mate! Was about to go out and by another one until I found the tutorial you posted.

It's awesome man. The flavour is sick and I haven't gotten any locking, dry hits or leaking yet... Only down side (not really a downside) is that it absolutely smashes through liquid. :bliss:

Haha that it does but then all the top flavoured tanks tend to...If you don’t make your own juice hit our forum DIY section mate we have some gifted creators here and I’m sure you’ll be able to fill your boots in no time ...say goodbye to daylight robbery prices and hello gallon juice bottles
