My Ultem arcs but I figured that was typical of silver contacts but I'm new to this whole thing. I just clean with q tip and rubbing alcohol. But didn't know Ultem version had pure silver vs plated. I guess with pure the arcing is conductive I read earlier? Still I clean it regardless.

I don't want to put no ox id somewhere that close to a squonk bottle to help prevent arcing lol. Maybe I'm being paranoid but that sounds like cancer to me if I over did it like my clumsy ass usually does and some got its way into my vape.

I only watch his reviews when I really need a good laugh.I find it amusing that for somebody who owns a vape-shop he knows/understands very little about the subject of vaping.

Ok, actually it was a peaceful Sunday package delivery from usps... 8 vtc5a for the mechs/mosfets and 4 hg brownies for the regulated side of life. Guess I'm good to go for 2 more years.

Sidenote: just received an email from vapehappy with a $10 discount code for preorder pulse 80w. Thing is, their regular price is $90 for resin w refill bottle, $86 without bottle. So even with coupon, $80 or $76. 3Fvape and FT offering same preorder... $53 w refill bottle. I admit that is very tempting.

Anyone keeping up to speed on 20700 battery news? That IJoy 5-leg that Mooch tested previously still a decent choice?

Ha no, I actually get a long with Raphael quite well. He's not so bad, just struggles pretty terribly with English and it creates some significant problems.
It's also important to realize that we don't speak English, we speak / write in American.
Totally different tone.
Whenever I'm dealing with foreigners I craft my messages a little differently.

Anybody know where is a good place to buy 2x700 batteries? All the Chinese shops won't ship to North America, the few I have found in Canada want $25 a battery. Curious where everyone is getting 2x700's for a decent price. My two Sanyo 20700B's are ok batts, don't do too well when you start asking them to pump out 15A consistently.

Thanks for pointing this out! I dont check 3f like I used to so I woulda missed this. $49 for the carbon one is impossible to pass up, I mean that's less then the mech was for pre order if I remember correctly? Plus I'll get it right after my vapersary so that's a good enough excuse

Yeah I talked to Ariel directly but all he offered was to send it in to have them "fix" the contact. I knew from our talk that meant clean, polish and alcohol just like they told you to do. I asked if he could send me better contacts and he said only the ultem has full silver.
I honestly think they just went to cheap on the contacts. Even on the v2's after they knew about the problem. Kinda put me off from Armageddon and that sucks because I used to like them a lot.

Still, compared to the 3D printed boxes I'd rather have a solid piece of delrin or whatever those are made of but to each is own. But I'll agree cleaning can be a PITA for it and removing the little piece to get the contacts out is a major hastle. Otherwise I can look past those flaws.

Probably being bias because this is only the 2nd and currently only squonk I own, but for the price of the Ultem I don't plan on buying anymore mods for quite some time lol.

My first was an s rabbit clone and I like squonking so much that I pretty much stopped using my other non squonking stuff. Now have an Armageddon V3, an Aleader Funky, and a modified RX200S en route. And now trying to talk myself out of a pwm squonker LOL
