It's the only one that's been released in 2018, so it would have to be the best. As far as best overall, the RSQ which was released in 2017 may be better than the Pulse 80. We won't know until the Pulse 80 is in our hands and we're able to compare them side by side.
But I guess you're just trying to hype it up since you're a retailer. And how are you guys pricing it already? I was under the impression that retailers had yet to receive retail prices.

Looks like just another 3D printed plastic box squonker to me....

I do like that it regulated and 2xxxx battery powered.

BUT the price will tell all.....

Lousy that the refill bottle won't be included after the vids by Tony implied that they will be included even if you buy the mod not the kit. Seems like VV and TonyB are not on the same page or that VV pulled a bait and switch, putting TonyB in a bad spot. I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

I completely agree!! I normally don't use refill bottles, but I was looking forward to getting one with the Pulse 80 so it was a selling point to me. Any other surprise disappointment and I won't be buying it.

I like that it has voltage adjustment mode. Would the mod be able to fire over 80 Watts in that mode?

The question is does a regulated device have voltage drop like a mechanical. I'm not sure. But I know the pulse mech has bad voltage drop. And the whole bottle no bottle thing. It's a nice looking mod though. So it throws me off a bit. But if I get a regulated squonk it'd probably be the rsq.

I think the Rage by OhmboyOC is significantly better. He’s working on selling a combo with the Recoil Rebel for $120. I saw a preorder for the Pulse 80 for $82.

I saw a much cheaper pre-order for it but I don't know what the deal is on this site with referring to deals

Should be around $45, at least that's what TS has it at. 2018 has a long ways to go. Too bad they couldn't allow that 1 extra mm dia for 21700.
Also, if the bottle's not included there should be a w/wo option when purchasing instead of going on a separate hunt for it.

How does the HM chip in the RSQ compare to the Gene chip? I’m a fan of the Gene in my Voopoo mod.

By the way, Fasttech has this available for less than $60 with the refill bottle...but it’s on preorder.

Its March, and the mod isn't even out yet...yes lets crown it and give Tony a vigorous handjob while we are at it.
And pretty horrid voltage drop.
Heck the Pico Squeeze outperformed it.

Passafire and The Cromwell in one thread?! Have to thank both of you guys...got my Wasp and Squeeze yesterday, and thanks to all of your tips...no spit back and getting flavor for days!

I am now certain that squonking is for me...and now I am looking for a good regulated squonk mod. What would you guys recommend?

You have the best by far for the money squonk combo.
Can't help much on the regulated. All my regulated squonk mods are Kanger which are ok but not great.
My desk squonking is on a DB160 and my out and about squonking in on a Pico Squeeze.

Rsq but all I do is Wattage. Inbox has a dna in it and can be found in that price range.

Thanks. I’ve definitely got my eye on those at the moment. I’m still interested in seeing how the new Pulse turns out. The bottle system looks great, and I already have first hand experience with the Gene chip. It’s solid, efficient and has excellent TC. I do think it won’t necessarily feel as “premium” as the others you’ve mentioned though.

rsq is great, I have 2 that I run in TC mode with 22mm atty's and they perform as good as or even better than my drag mod with a 24mm atty with the same build in tc mode (have to play with tcr on the voopoo, not on the rsq) but I don't have the same size/model atty on them so it's not a true 1:1 comparison at this point until I get some more duplicate atty's

Size is always my downside on regulated. After using a tlf and a toaster v3 they feel like Sherman tanks lol. Rsq is not bad size wise but heavy as a brick.

The regulated pulse may turn out to be a decent mod.
May.

Honestly, I can’t see how it would suffer from the same issues as the mech Pulse. Voltage drop would be a non-issue in a regulated mod. The quality of the chipset dictates a lot. The only question mark is the build quality...haven’t felt a mech Pulse, but maybe it feels cheap and flimsy. Could be the same for this version.

Yes! The Pico Squeeze is ridiculously small...not expecting anything like that, but if it’s a single battery, I don’t see why it should have to be THAT much bigger to fit a chipset.

So it sounds like the Pulse will NOT have the Gene chip after all. Some kind of fight between VandyVape and Voopoo. Sounds like maybe Voopoo screwed them over, probably on price, in order to release their own squonk device. More to come from Tony B later today.

That SUCKS! I just hope it ends up with a solid chip as a replacement, or at least one that supports Arctic Fox firmware.

voopoo is dead to a vape reviewer over a business deal with him?

Kinda shows how vape reviewers become shills for their own branded products doesn't it?

Now all Voopoo products are off his review list I suppose....

a businessman or a vape reviewer?

Vapor Trail Channel on Facebook. Tony has been talking about it since yesterday and is going to have a video later today with details.

I think that really sucks. Tony spent a lot of time on the Pulse and highlighting the Gene chip as a main point. If you read through the recent history, you can see the whole thing unfold: first there was a delay on the release; then Voopoo jacked up the price of the chip; and now, the Gene chip has been removed/replaced.

Voopoo saw the hype, did the math and realized they could make a lot more profit by dicking Tony over and releasing their own squonker with exclusive rights to the Gene chip. We should be expecting a Drag Squonker to be hitting the market sometime soon would be my guess.

Bummer...I’m not afraid to admit that I really like the Gene chip. Glad I didn’t preorder.

That’s not the worst thing in the world...I was actually wondering if Voopoo would release a squonker.

I don't thin that's really fair. There's room to be both a reviewer and a businessman. He, along with most of the other big name reviewers have had products for a while and they all seem to still be impartial with their reviews.

I have no problem with Tony recusing himself from reviewing any Voopoo product, and doubt he'd give negative reviews on good products because of this.

How can he give a negative review on a product he refuses to review?
Refuses to review based on a personal business deal vs viability of the product.

Ohh I fully support any reviewers right to refuse to review a brand if say that brand responds badly to his reviews of said brand.
Or if the brand seems to be overall crap.
But to refuse to review a brand over a personal business deal gone sour on him...
That is not impartial reviewing in my opinion.

Now if the brand screws over their general customers I can see banning that brand from reviews.
Like with Smok taking over 6 months to resolve warranty issues and poor quality.

Too early to say...
it may just say Voopoo on it :D
I think those good 21700 batts, that I know you have no personal use of, are only weeks away from being available and I actually have a line on 30T now. So to me, it was kind of a fail anyways to be so close, yet so far.

Glad for you on the batteries that I have no use for :)

Saw on Mooch's latest vid about imrbatts or someone getting a batch in soon.

I haven't had time to see what mooch is doing atm. Last I saw was his VCTxA including 6A comparison a couple days ago.

I make time for mooch's vids.
i only watch 3 vape reviewers shows.
Well some of them, some of the items they review do not interest me at all.
Such as tube mechs.
Have about 6 of them, used them and now in vape apocalypse stash.

And then there's me that should have been working a couple hrs ago.
I have absolutely no interest in mech for my own use. I get all I need regulated.

I said I have no problem with him recusing himself from reviewing their products. It's not an uncommon practice for people to recuse themselves from situations where there may be bias, real, perceived or otherwise—it's called character.

He has no choice but to recuse himself from reviewing their products because he would be questioned on anything negative he has to say about them, valid or not.

It sounds like you are saying Tony has lost all credibility because of this. That's crazy talk.

Not saying that at all.
He always struck me as a bit of a shill with very little negative comments on anything.
His credibility was always somewhat lacking in my opinion.
He has lost some objectivity with his branding of vape products just as all reviewers who do so do.
And ALL vape reviewers MUST give glowing reviews of other reviewers branded products.
Seems to be a Brotherhood of Vape Reviewers kind of thing.

Well Todd did not on Busardo and Dimitri's MTL atty :)
And Busardo blew up a bit and then later calmed down realizing he had come off as an ass.
