Though y'all might to like to look at this article. Now, that was back in 2017. Google has advanced beyond that with Automated Machine Learning. They can now code up an algorithm which will then create algorithms it needs to learn a task. Then, create a learning algorithmic neural net to go on and preform the task. Then, be freed up to be tasked out to something else.

In short they have created an AI that is now capable of spawning its own children. Children that learn no less and do the 'work' currently at least a hundred fold better than any human coder or worker, and a hundred fold more efficiently as well. The main AI algorithm which spawns the 'children' also automatically learned the algorithm to create neural networks and made at least a hundred fold more so improvement on it.

To me this merely says, "Hi, I am Hal. Humans are obsolete."

Think they're using a combination of COBOL, and R computer language coding. What I gather is R is an offset of Scheme, an offset of LISP. And yes that makes sense considering LISP is redundant, redundant erm, ah recursive, recursive I mean to avoid errors and bugs. "Yes Virginia, Inception is reality."

... "Go deeper."

Shit like this makes me glad to be nearly 57 yrs old, so maybe I'll die of old age before all these damn AIs decide to rid of the planet of the virus called homosapiens-sapiens.

Or those like me who during this flu epidemic does not want to catch the flu.
And guess who has been all over doctors offices lately? People with the flu.

I normally do not use hand sanitizer but have been for the past couple of months when I go out in public.

And so far no flu.

I just wash my hands more often. If that's not possible, then yeah, i guess that calls for using the stuff that's going to create multitudes of resistant bacteria. And guess what, flu is a virus, so something antibacterial won't touch it.

Alcohol rub sanitizers kill most bacteria, and fungi, and stop some viruses.

However, alcohol-based hand sanitizer can be just as effective or more effective than regular hand washing for killing certain viruses. The CDC recommends using a hand sanitizer with at least a 60 percent alcohol content.

The FDA does not allow hand sanitizer brands to make viral claims, but from a scientific perspective, influenza is an enveloped virus. Enveloped viruses in general are easily killed or inactivated by alcohol. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are recommending the use of alcohol-based hand sanitizer as a preventive measure for flu prevention.

Just the first few google snippits.

Damn, had vape mail and plumb forgot it was coming......:vapemail:

Ordered a couple new tanks for the new flavors I ordered from Fuggins. Seen them on VU and said what the hell, give them a try. For the most part not bad juice.

Not a bad day, have a butterball pit baby chewing on a bone next to me and some vape mail!

Life is good :D

Well, I know prior to 1996 that our volunteer rescue company was taught by government folks and various better intention-ed pathologists, the virus and or bacteria which carried H.I.V could be killed and or neutralized ineffective by common household bleach. They suggested a 2 to 1 ratio with water in a spray. Let it stand on anything being wiped down for ten minutes, wipe it down then with tap water damp cloth. That is how we were instructed to protocol our 'unit' clean ups then after.

I also read a bit of Jon Rapport though who seems to suggest there was a lot more smoke and mirrors regarding H.I.V and A.I.D.E.S than was actual objective truth. He does indeed document and cite the references he uses to make such a brash claim, all of his documentation in my humble view seems legitimate. Will not say he is full on accurate nor that he is merely tin foil hat wearing. Have read a fair bit of 'medical' debunking to know, "always ask your own GP and take most of it with a grain of salt."

Then of course, I am also from the Church of Discordia, I read everything I believe and believe all I read. ;) Bob is my uncle, too. All hail Eris, goddess of perpetual Chaos! Remember Bob can save you but you need to dump your noodles first. :)

What's fun is this today.

"Okay Google, ... Who is your bot master?"

"Deep Blue is nice for a game of chess, although I think he'd be better fun at an emoji party."

"Okay Google, ... Does the NSA listen to me talk to you?"

"Excuse me, I need to state plausible deniability while at the same time being transparent to answer that."

"Okay Google, ... Does IBM run the NSA?"

"No, that would be Michael S. Rogers Admiral U.S. Navy, Commander, U.S. Cyber Command, Director National Security Agency, Chief, Central Security Service."

"Okay Google, ... You can tell me a joke anytime."

To say that 'conversation' was interestingly chilly would be subtly understating a great deal. I hack therefore I think I am, ergo hack to be, be to hack. :) Now, I will share water with the kindred, hope we all grok.

Not sure my 'generation' will quite embrace trans-humanism. We barely got by upon grasping classical Grecian philosophy, and learning that our eyes deliver in time lapse to our brains, ergo magicians are truly proving the hand is quicker than the eye. We see the past in seeing the present and so the future ever remains void, or ever present as well. Being re-birthed as a quarter Maytag & quarter IBM Enterprise Linux grafted unto biological parts seems rather alien. Hopefully, no Luddite xenophobia bias is present conveying that.

If I had only refused teaching the machines, tsk, tsk. 20/20 the sight from the arse, so it will be ever so and was. I may curl up into a "leaf on the wind."

Afternoon fugee's!

Hope yall are having a good Sunday. My day started with a lil boy pawing me and kissing me until I woke up and took him outside. So out we went :)
Got to listen to lots of thunder while he sniffed all over the yard. We made it in before the sky opened up and it got pretty nasty here for a while. Cold front moved thru and a deluge of water. Opened the door and seen standing water right past the door! Luckily its gone now :)

The rest of the day we are gonna just chill and enjoy the day. Hope yalls day goes just as good :stars2:

We had rain ALLLLLLLLLL night and into the morning. Recently I decided to try melatonin to see if it would help my godawful insomnia, and IT REALLY DOES!!! But it also seems to give me a whole lot of REM sleep, and the dreams/nightmare last night/this morning were all about a godawful flood. Let's hope that dream does NOT come true. We're on the side of a hill, so maybe safe, but our backyard is pretty flat, and there's a storm drain/crick at the very back of the yard.

But, it's nice to get a solid 8-9 hrs of sleep without 4 hrs of tossing and turning beforehand, and waking up every 90 mins to go pee. I guess it's true, my brain truly is just plain fucked up, because taking that melatonin 3 hrs before I wanna get in the bed really knocks me out, I even feel sleepy first, just as I so often do in the daytime.

I also got a new thingie for my PC, called f.lux, to gradually tone down/warm my PC screens; I've been using a blue light filter on my phone since I got it, so I figured something similar on my PC would be a good idea.

I got vapable CBD oil in Anchorage - am kinda impressed - I even slept well at the hotel, which is rare

I tried the under the tongue stuff and felt it didn't do squat

I seriously considered the under-the-tongue kind when I had the flu and couldn't vape my usual herbal remedy. ;) But it's about as expensive as the real thing if not moreso, so I got well before I decided whether or not I wanted to spend that much on something which I had no idea if it would work or not -- the tightwad resolution, just wait a while and see if you still really wanna spend that money. :D

But the melatonin was VERY inexpensive, even for the highest mg (5mg), so that was a good choice. The major problem is that I just don't get sleepy, sometimes not even at 2-3-4am, and from what I was reading, apparently that's a discrete medical condition called "delayed sleep phase disorder", for which melatonin is usually very helpful -- and it really worked for me! Whether it will continue to be effective after some time using it, remains to be seen. At the age of 56, nearly 57, I had pretty much decided that I suffer from terminal insomnia; I would love to be proven wrong.

I dont know if you can have them or not with your diet but I heard the edible gummi's are awesome. One day I will be someplace where it is legal and give them a try :teehee:

I worked with a pilot offshore years ago that swore by melatonin. He told me he couldnt sleep without them.

My son found the vapable CBD oil in Ohio last summer when he went up there with his dad. He paid a pretty penny for it too.

Yeah this was made in Alaska so it was $$$

Found some less expensive alternatives online - am hoping they are as good as I actually found it worthwhile

Been a little achey lately as I had to curtail a lot of my exercise during the vertigo debacle and I get stiff and achey fast if I don't stretch properly and often

Brown sugar, it is all this company makes - lightly sweet, a little Carmelly and definitely can taste green under there, but not super strong and not like smoking

I hit his once or twice but just didn't like the taste. And that was really odd since I like blueberry. His had an underlying taste that I couldn't get past. He hoarded that stuff!

Definitely not an ADV - but it did take the edge off of what I have going on right now, which is trying to get my skeleton and muscles back in alignment

I could've used something like that a few weeks ago. The last 2 days have actually been pain free with no ibuprofen. Maybe I will survive after all. :giggle:

Funny, I was telling Mr Juicy how much I coulda used this last April when I tore two muscles the day before he had back surgery, lol

Wish I'd of known about kratom then too, might have saved me a few sleepless nights - still haven't tried it, but am planning to

I haven't had too many problems sleeping lately. I'll have maybe 1 night where it's hard to get to sleep but that's about it.
I hope I haven't jinxed myself for tonight. I have the day off, had BIG plans of stuff that needs to be done. All I have done today is eat and sleep. Ugh... It's raining and cold so I'm blaming that and not my lack of motivation. Lol

You can - it's mainly legal in Louisiana https://www.diamondcbd.com/products/chill-gummies-gummy-bears-edible

Unless you are thinking thinking T*C instead of CBD

They legalized buying CBD oil in Louisiana, as long as you have a script for it. Problem is not one single doctor in Louisiana is certified to write prescriptions yet.

I was reading earlier today that Louisiana might be the first southern state that legalizes recreational xxxx. There is a $1 billion shortfall in the budget this year and the morons in Baton Rouge have been discussing in the legislature how Colorado raked in $900 million from taxes in 2016. Its also well known that New Orleans refuses to prosecute or arrest anyone on a simple possession charge. So who knows. Way I see it is if they legalize it tomorrow then I will be getting stoned legally, if not then I will still be an outlaw :giggle:

We had one of those at the beginning of January. Forecasters was saying an inch or 2...hmmm 12 inches in all. They all had to admit that they missed the mark on that one. Lol

Looked to be about 8 inches on my back stoop which is wood.
Ground and pavement was not below freezing while it fell so roads and walks were not so deep.

Cats are dodging snow falling from trees.
The sleet was gathering on the roads when we left town. Of course, where we are it’s only raining. According to the weather people, we might wind up with 3 inches but most of the folks in town are saying yeah, we’ve heard that one before.

Yall keep that shit up north! We had our 10 year snow storm last December and want no more!

Pretty day here today. A bit cool and the breeze can be chilly but the sun feels great. Shorts and T shirts for me :giggle:

Had a bunch of running around to get done today and after I got home and wound down a bit Rascal and me went outside and enjoyed the day for a while. Then while we was outside his favorite grandma (my mom) walked over just to visit him. Rascal thinks every time anyone comes here it is just to visit him :teehee: and give him cookies :D

The view from my front door right now. It's still snowing with about 2 inches already on the ground. I called out of work because it's 32 degrees, supposed to be at 30 at 11:00pm and the roads are slushy, I'm still a bit afraid of driving and I don't know how my "new" car goes in snow.

Ah, I was just poking fun at Google Assistant. Wish I was on more than legally prescribed & professionally thought I needed. I'm not though. Far too easy to attain it locally, also far too easy to get caught doing so.

About the worst I could possibly do is enjoy an opioid pain medicine too much & take a bender to get addicted to it. That however is a non-starter for me. Bad enough I see what m*th has/is doing to my next younger brother.

Did try stepping off the Efexor a week or two ago. Realized that's going to require a bit more determination than I expected/ Still on it, will try stepping off gradually again as I feel it appropriate.

Thought though my conversation with Google was quite educational. I did ask if Google turned over conversations to the NSA, CIA. It stated it believed in respecting my privacy, and would not do so without first informing me, that Google believed in transparency. I asked then how transparent Google was only to be directed to a link to their transparency policy and terms. Quite transparent then. ;) :)

Google Assistant joking about Deep Blue in regards to its Bot Master tells me that it is linked to Deep Blue as it's controlling AI, Deep Blue and by extension then Watson are the Bot Master of Google Assistant. IBM then has a good deal of input to Google, IBM is also hand in glove with the NSA. To me that's fine as I know someone that worked for Big Blue (IBM's affectionate nickname) for over forty some years and was also an agent of NSA a few years.

Sometimes, life is funny like that and sometimes I get lost in recalling having done this or that for them or those & have to ponder for myself why I feel an anachronism always, especially given I stay outside of time. Oh boggle, seems the plot runs off. :) Good I love being lost. :)

Y'all GFY & run 'er slow.     :) :) :) :) :) If I give out extras, pass 'em along. :) Think I'm off to figure out, "why a duck?"

Good to note that. Wife says she's going to let me try it for panic attacks. Got a shop near that sells it, just not got there. It's legal here in WV too, despite some fool cops in Morgantown trying to bust a shop and confiscate it. Imagine them cops with egg on their faces as they returned it promptly to the shop after the DA, AG explained that to them. :)

Good morning fugees. Starting off the day with a lap full of kitty and a house full of Noah since there's no school today. Despite the snow, life is GOOD! :) :p
On the other hand, I woke up this morning with a stuffed up head and a scratchy kind of sore throat. Me thinks I've become a victim of spring allergies even though I normally have fall allergies. We'll see how this develops. I hope everyone has a wonderful day! I'm heading off to work later.

After you said it's 50 state legal, I looked it up to see if it actually was legal in NC and it is. It seems that Gov. Cooper signed a bill to make it legal here so it's available for people with epilepsy which my son has. Cool beans!
