Finished up with my flavor testers for now, man RF fruit pebbles is not as nice I was hoping, but it'll do just fine with TFA berry crunch.

Mixed a little today:
Floral cream soda(WIP)
Black Raspberry Cream(WIP)
Dragon's Morning breath(WIP)

EDIT: Guess I'm not done with testing yet, forgot I had ~20 flavors that I got from the trading post a couple days ago.

That sounds good. I'll order both, what percentage for each are you using?
It's very strong, if I want smack you in your mouth raspberry i'll go:

INW Shisha Raspberry 2%
INW Raspberry Conc. 0.5%

Half that and it will still stand out nicely but allow other flavors to breathe more.

I find using the stronger ratio good to mimic a raspberry syrup you would find on cheesecake, strong, thick and with a bite. It's delicious, and holds up forever.

Good to know. Hoping it can hold it's own with blood orange and mango.

Heya, I had made this recipe quite some time ago. I let it sit for a month and it was awesome. However, I had used INW Raspberry at .5% as he noted in his comments.

http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/287875/Raspberry Custard

I then made 120ml given the long steep time. But something had compelled me to use the Raz at 1%. When I finally tried it a month later it was unvapeable. The Raz had completely overwhelmed the juice and I dumped it. I haven't made it since, but I think I'll try again sometime.

It’s a good raspberry for bakery but not fresh applications. To me it tastes exactly like the raspberry flavor found in pastry items sold in Eastern European bakeries. (No surprise)

Anyone ever use a raspberry flavor that tastes like a fresh real raspberry?

FlavourArt Raspberry is sort of "fresh," Real Flavors Raspberry is close too

Even closer to real raspberries is RF Blue Raspberry, but of course it adds that "other flavor" to the real raspberry

Thinking about seeing what kind of Grapple variations I might be able to put together with my limited stock of flavors. Got Fuji Apple-FA, Grape Candy-TFA, Grape-INW, Sweet & Sour Purple Drink-WF to try to see if I can find a good mix for a basic Grapple and then thought it’d be fun to try to throw in some Watermelon to make a Grapplemelon, or some lemon/lemonade favors to make a Grapplade. Anyone seen anything I might be able to borrow from with getting the right percentages and such? Otherwise it’s just pure luck I’m going on, lol

I normally type the flavors into ATF and check to see what people use the flavors at to get my starting point. I've found that using others recipes as a guide just makes bad "new" vapes. (Maybe this is just me though and it may work for others Idk? )
Unless your just gonna use a good recipe and tweak it a tiny bit?

It would probably behoove me to actually make single flavor testers instead of just buying a flavor because a recipe calls for it and then not really knowing how strong it is and what the flavor exactly is if I wanted to use it for a recipe from scratch...because the only experience I have is the flavor mixed in with the recipe I bought it for. I found a couple of recipes on ELR and such for grapple, but with the limited inventory I’m still working with, it’d be pretty heavily substituted. This is what I’ve got at my disposal at the moment:
fb812f56bd8457ed40ca1128948161dd.jpg

When you guys mix up testers for new flavors you want to try, what percentage of the single flavor do you use? And do you add Nic to it or does the Nic not effect the flavor all that much if you’re just testing it out?

Hmm maybe try 2% FA Fuji .75% INW grape and 1-2% TFA grape candy. As for testing, I just do the same as any other mix, cause I'm still gonna vape it, so I'll need the nic in it, also IMO without the nic it just doesn't taste as good, at least to me. For strength it varies, FA and INW I always start at 1% TFA or Cap around 3-4% though when in doubt check ELR notes on the flavor.

Anyway did some more testing, the only one that really stood out as something special on it's own was INW dragonfruit, it's pretty solid off the shake, a little harsh, but that's par for the course with dragonfruit.

You posted your flavor list from ELR. If you click on one of your flavors, ELR will advise you about %’s. Nothing stopping you from adding a flavor to your list you may want to try. There’s also a resource page there called “Flavor list” which you can also use.

So this is working out well IMO.....might still need some work, but I’m enjoying it right now....

Honeycomb(VTA) 2%
Custard(INW) 2.5%
Cookie(FA) 2%

It’s only a few days out, but I think it’s yummy...and simple!:)

Edit.....still good, but I think a touch of cream for the next batch. Maybe FA fresh cream 1%.

Getting a bit tired of my really fruity flavors, so for the last couple of days I’ve been vaping on Slap Yo Mama BCP that @Mykreign was kind enough to send me a little while back.
Got an idea of borrowing heavily from his BCP recipe and trying to make a pound cake or upside down cake or just something new...threw these flavors together just now and fully expected it to taste horrible and need to steep for a week or more, but I smelled it when I was done and was pleasantly surprised at the aroma, but figured it would still be horrible to vape...tried it anyway, and I’ll be damned if it isn’t good as a Shake & Vape.
It tastes pretty damn close to the old school Jackson’s Jumble Lemon Cookies I had a lot when I was a kid!

I might take the Lemonade down to 3.5% or 3% next time because it’s a little bit strong, but it’s not overpowering or taking over where it is now by any means.
I actually might scale all the flavors down a bit just to see if I can save on how much concentrate I’m using in the recipe as a whole...no point in using 15+% concentrate if I can scale it down to a lower percentage without losing the flavors.
Now I just gotta cross my fingers and hope that over night or over a few days it doesn’t mutate into a horrible concoction like my trials with Cherry flavors did.

Worked on what I’m calling Lemon Cookie some this morning...knocked the Lemonade down to 3% and then scaled all flavors down by 50%...the flavor was still there for the most part, but a bit muted for my taste, so, I made another batch where I scaled all flavors down by 25% instead and that seems to be the sweet spot for my tastes...not too strong, not too weak...I found my Goldilocks Zone
Finished recipe looks a little weird because I didn’t round off the numbers or percentages so that the only factor changing the taste would be the concentrate-to-dilutant ratio

I definitely wouldn’t mind anyone’s input/critiques/suggestions if wanted to try it out and let me know.

Edit: Just got around to trying it again..haven’t vaped in awhile, so, with a fresh palette, the whole thing is still a bit muted and lemonade is a bit too strong..going back to the original recipe and bringing the lemonade to 2%...fingers crossed that this is it.

Working on a strawberry warm custard, strawberry milkshake, raspberry white chocolate pudding(v1 and 2)and coffee toffee ice cream. Also have a tester of Joker working. And, of course, eyeing up the new VTA flavors....because I need more flavors. LOL!

Got too busy yesterday between mixing, cleaning/re-wicking atties and packing for today's business trip to post. Anyway mixed up my on the road ADV's yesterday. @Deeks Raspberry Custard, @MamaJ's GOC, and Ella's Shortbread Biscuit. Ahhh raspberry white chocolate pudding sounds really good I'm working on a hot white coco with cinnabunn chunks ... it's a drink I had once and it was awesome, so far my recipe is pretty good but I know it can be better.

Ooooh, that sounds good, too! I’ll post mine when I feel it’s ready. Post yours when you feel it’s ready? Raspberry and white chocolate are a match made in heaven!

Tried making a Grapple juice and a Strawberry Watermelon juice. The Grapple is still a bit strong with Grape on the front end, but has a nice Apple on the exhale...the Strawmalone seems a bit muted, which I found odd with how high the concentrate percentages ended up being. Both perfectly vapable, but could be tweaked to be better, as well...I’ll put them under “In Progress”
