Something fairly new, but CHEAP.....:teehee:
"New" and "cheap" makes for an oxymoron. A 2017 pickup is in the $60-80,000 category. Why? I have no fucking idea. I asked a salesman (I was waiting for my truck to come out of the service bay) what the hell was in that thing that makes them think they need to charge so damn much? He listed off a bunch of crap and I said, "I have a 2004 F150 that cost $16,000 and it has all that crap, most of which I didn't even want, so why should I pay $50,000 MORE for this piece of shit?" He shrugged and walked away from me.

I like it too, good thing because i have to eat it My wifey goes nuts at night she says I smell like an Italian restaurant

My husband knows when I'm cooking... he walks in the house and smells garlic! :giggle: I love the stuff, and the REAL stuff, real honest to god cloves of garlic, are one of the best foods for health, EVER. Antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and it'll kill bugs (if you steep it with peppers in vinegar for a week).... And hey, it tastes great too! :D

I always get a kick out of vampire mythology, the ostensible aversion to garlic that vampires have... Back in the olden days, when people were dying in droves from this or that plague, but particularly bubonic, spread by fleas, they thought vampires were killing people; anyone who ate a lot of garlic, had garlands of garlic bulbs hanging in their house, didn't get the plague, because GARLIC REPELS FLEAS! not because garlic repels vampires. :teehee:

The prices have climbed about 5K a year since, for junk...!
My understanding is that now, it is hard to even find a new vehicle that does not make major decisions for you - WITHOUT your input - like applying the brakes if IT detects some obstacle in its path (something I would just swerve around), or jerks me back if it thinks I am lane drifting, and it contains WiFi and GPS and... I do not want any of this shit in my vehicle!!! I refuse to buy any vehicle that thinks it is smarter than I am.
That's more than I paid for my first home!!!
My first house - 3 BR and double garage on 3/4 acre was only $29k.

AVG take home pay has changed very little in a couple of decades for the working class, once the OFFICIAL inflation figures are worked in.
Of course the official inflation numbers are artificially low.

We used to have a cat that routinely licked the pasta sauce off the dinner dishes, full of garlic, and he lived over 15 years. You really need to beware some of these warnings because they do not apply to small amounts of anything. Did you know chocolate will kill your dog? Yeah, but only if he eats about 10 pounds every day. Shit! That will kill you too.

so then you would not have to worry about fleas on them then?

sulfur huh?
that helps to explain the satanic stench...

Yep, sulfur... the substance in both onions and garlic that a) makes them so healthful, and b) makes your mouth taste like satan's asshole the next morning, is a sulfur-based chemical. Cats can't metabolize it, and I'm not sure that dogs can either.

Hi Andria, I love garlic too in everything, when you cook it it looses a lot of it's health effect but the flavor is outstanding

I’m surprised she’s not trying to knock it off the ledge... lol

Now that you mention it, I am too. But mainly because she is polydactyl and clumsy as hell - possibly the least graceful or stealthy cat I've ever known

But mainly, she just likes to hang out with me, no matter what I'm doing. I call her my bathroom buddy - she is quite enlightened and understands that my :poop: doesn't stink

And I bet the F150 is still running damn good. Ouch, excuse me just had a knee decided to take off. Wife's granddad has/had an older model F150, "Big Red" it's called. He used to drive Big Red backwards. Got away with it too as he was considered the 'mayor' round those parts. Me and him went out one day to get some work done. Tell ya, never saw the likes of it. We get two steps and somebody pull up ask what we doing, chaw the fat for a half hour to forty five minutes.

He turned aside to me once we seemed to have a free minute. "Barn, they'd not know what to do with themselves ifin they'd not know what I was a doing. they sure a like to see me work though, yeah and drink my coffee up." We took off at a dead run then before anyone else came along. Wound up getting an old corn crib/chicken coop shed pulled down off a friend's hill. Set it over for Pawpaw's old dog "Priss" to have a 'hooch' to get in. Later on I went up and scared a racoon he had got live trapped, was taming up so he could use it to hunt. *chuckles*

I never forgot I scared his racoon off. *grin*

oops, forgot that one word even though I know it weren't meant in that context could be a no no no word.

Here is my sad tale.

Went to Doc #1 yesterday. Needed a new med. When I asked, the Doc told me it was not covered by insurance. I was told that I could get if filled in their in-house dispensary. Was told they would mail me refills. Got 60 pills and paid $132.00. By the time I got home, it sounded very fishy to me. Called my insurance company and they told me that they could mail out a 3 month supply (180 pills) for $100.00!!!!!!! Called the doc's office, chewed them out and told them they had better damn well refund me $99.00! Funny thing is that this AM I received a request to take a survey from their corporate on yesterdays experience (of being screwed over and ripped off). Told them if this was not resolved to my satisfaction by the end of business today, I would take the survey and report them for fraud.:headbang:

Ahh health care ins...
Wife became eligable for Medicare this month.
About mid February bought medicare supplement and part D thru a local insurance agent.
Did all the paperwork and paid the money.
Was assured it would start on March 1.
Still no Medicare part D.
And wife needs prescriptions filled. $800+ without ins...

Now I am dealing with Doc #2.

My GP gave me a referral to a specialist.

Was told it was sent on 2/16/18

I checked this morning and they faxed it to the phone number.:headbang:

Flat out told them they needed to fax it to the right number (that I had to provide and verify), call the New Doc and verify it had been received (I confirmed the correct phone number for them) and then they needed to call me back to verify that all the above had been done.:gaah:

Saw a blurb headline on the net.
'First warm blooded fish found'

Well if it is warm blooded it is not a fish is it?

Look's like a fish.

I can relate with the insurance crap. My sons prescription has to be per-authorized before they will pay for it. Its for a major depressive disorder. If it was a heart med he wouldn't have the issue. Of course I have to rattle cages in order to get anywhere. I'm hoping his doctor will fill out the forms correctly and send it to Walgreen's. Otherwise, they will have to face the wrath of "me".

Have a meeting before work. I'm hoping "I got this" will happen with this job. :)
Hope you pharts are doing good!
