1 . idk
2. since ur coils are ,4 and u vape at 40 - 45 , im pretty sure ur good cuz the lower the ohms the higher your coil heats up faster.

#1 Make sure you prime your coils, don't use nicotine if you haven't smoked before, and honestly just enjoy vaping your way.
#2 We have an issue here, the battery you got is a rewrap, there is no way that battery has that capacity(35 amps, yeah no that's bullshit) it is probably running ~10 to 15 amps. At 40 watts on a .4 coil, you should be fine, but I do recommend a legit battery from the big three, Samsung, Sony, and LG. Only buy it from reputable sources, definitely not eBay.
#3 Yeah it's fine to charge via USB, just make sure it ain't getting hot. I do recommend an external charger just in case.
Welcome to VU, happy to have you :D

↑↑↑ What he said. There are others from the big three that are good 18650's but the Sony VTC5a is the strongest battery right now. Highly recommended.
The another reason for an external charger is you can have two batteries and vape while one is charging.

Welcome to the VU. :)

You have come to the right place! Besides posting your questions about vaping, you can find most of the answers right here on VU. Although, it might take a while to find the answer, it's worth reading the threads, in order to learn a lot about vaping.

Welcome to VU. Only problem I see is your batteries. You do need to get better ones. I use Liion Wholesale for my battery orders, but the previous suppliers mentioned are good as well.

Liionwholesales.com is my preferred source as well. However, when I was looking for the VCT5A, I only found it on the website I previously referred to.

First welcome to the underground

1. Priming coil already stated above. If you get the sweats or headaches then the nic is to high think about reducing it. Drink plenty while you adjust to vaping

2. Your using pre made coils so you haven’t actually built anything there...the only thing to look out for is sometimes smok coils can be assembled badly with wires sticking out at the base this might cause a short which the mod should detect but I’d always say inspect the coils before you use them and to make sure the rubber gasket is sitting flat

3. I’d recommend you to take a look at Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6 batteries they’ll cover the full wattage range of the Al85 and give you better capacity over the ones your using

4. Yes I would say grab an external charger it handy just to have one so you have cells ready to swap over when your running low plus you aren’t stressing the USB port constantly

Nothing is better than building your own coil(s). You know the quality, or the lack of the wire(s) you're utilizing. Therefore, a suitable RTA, RDTA, or even a RDA and good wire(s), would be on my wish list.

The way I learned to build my own, was to replace the coil, and wicking in my Kanger tanks, I started vaping with.

I agree, keep it simple for awhile. I had my Kanger STM for months before I started using the rba and didn't regret the wait. By then I had done my homework and felt safe enough to tackle building. Yes building is easy but learning to be safe is more important and mastering wicking can be a challenge.

:grumpy: Hi ,Sorry for such a delayed reply but I'm back. I wasn't sure if I should make a new thread or not coz I wanted to do a little update so here it is.

Thanks for all the great tips first of all ,since the smok mod.
I have gotten a few new things.
Like a new mod (Vapresso Switcher ) starter kit . Because the smok litteraly just died in like 4 days it wouldn't turn or or fire or anything. And the store I got it from wouldn't give me a new one under warranty anyway it was probably for the better.

So I have the vapresso switcher now which I use with the G8 coils and got 2 (18650) batteries LG if I'm not mistaken, and I have gotten my self a external charger as well.

I have been experimenting with different juices and vg and pg ratios so it's been a pretty enjoyable journey so far ,
And recently I purchased a
(Freemax Fireluke Mesh Pro Subohm Tank • 6ml 25mm) which I hear has a superb flavour and it can blow some big clouds as well.

Also I was just wondering if my vapresso is gonna be compatible with the freemax fireluke , from what I understand it is just wanna get a more professional insight thanks

Also I am more of a flavour chaser so if you have any tips ,juices or tanks I should try let me know. Thanks again :bliss:

The Switcher will power the Mesh Pro with no problem. There are many 18650 LG batteries, could you please tell us which model please?

Have been told it is okay to charge single battery mods via usb. Personally I always charge externally. I always have a freshie available.

Sorry it's actually the
(SAMSUNG INR18650-25R 18650 2500MAH)
RECHARGEABLE BATTERY And not the LG

Also I received the freemax mesh pro and my mod is reading 0.25 ♎resistance with it

XTAR and similar branded chargers are overpriced, I just picked one up from a random Chinese manufacturer on eBay for a few bucks.

All chargers are not equal in quality or function. Like batteries I stick with companies that are recommended by people who know more than I about such things.

Drink plenty while you adjust to vaping

@KingPin! is good, @KingPin! is wise, ...

That noted I'll suggest you keep on drinking and stay hydrated as you vape. I've given up sodas as a staple drink. I have one but only occasionally and no more than a 20 oz. I can drink seltzer water with flavoring. My main staple is plain old water, then coffee, sweet tea, hot tea, Kool Aid / generic KA. Some days I drink 2 or 3 liters of water, others only 1.

Vaping tends to dry a person out a good bit. Staying hydrated is important. I've found out without proper hydration you might cause brain damage. (Too late in my case, I lost my brain when I saw zombies eat brains.) Listen to your own body. It will tell you if are under hydrated or nearing over hydration. Don't get drunk off water, it's not fun to heave back up. And yes you can get drunk on it.

Whatever you do too, do not visit this site. Dihydrogen Monoxide is indeed a potent chemical, it's often called the Universal Solvent. Which to solve problems we use solutions, would it not stand to reason then that a Universal Solvent(solution) solve all our problems? No, these folks want Dihydrogen Monoxide banned. Go figure. ;) :) :p
