Build for a small holed deck

Hey y'all that's is my first post here just getting used to the forums layout so if this is in the wrong spot I apologize.
I just started building and my rda has posts for disk or single coil and I'm running a single 18650 mechanical tube mod. The problem is pretty built aliens won't fit in the smaller size holed in the deck so I was wondering if I could either drill the holes bigger or maybe y'all have a suggestion for a similar coil that could fit..
Thanks for reading and id appreciate any answers I get. Steam on!

Not knowing which atty it is, makes it a tad uneasy to give an answer.
But, back before claptons were considered basic wire, we would drill out postholes on the post and airholes on the barrel.
The other option is to use regular round wire or smaller diameter wire.

Use smaller coils.
You can also strip the wrapping wire on the ends of the coil which might help with small post holes. Wrapping wire doesn't carry any notable amount of current.
OR buy a different RDA that will handle your larger coils. Remember to keep ohms law in mind, larger coils can also mean lower resistance. (26ga wire has higher resistance than 24ga wire) for example.

My rda is a council of vapor royal Hunter , probably should have included that in the op.
I haven't considered stripping the wire at the end that may work. It's good to know I can drill larger if I want though thanks!

Looking at that RDA, not much room to drill...be careful! Definitely try taking the wrapping off the ends first, or consider a 24 mm rda with two posts instead of 3, the Kennedy 24 has humongous holes for example

Thanks for the advice I will probably upgrade to a better rda soon, I justnpicked this one up because it matched to smoke magneto 2 I bought very well.
I don't want to spend more than 30 canadian Monopoly dollars on one though and it would be preferable to have no overhang. Where is the best place to buy online in Canada?

Online... i usually shop at fasttech. Free shipping but it may take a bit longer. Remember to look for the word "Authentic". I buy my ejuice and batteries locally.

Now I have never bought from a Canadian retailer, but I found this on clearance with 2.5 mm post holes on a Canadian site

https://www.canvape.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AirekRDA-

Again, I can't recommend a seller for you but hopefully others can. This site looks okay to me but never ordered here.

They have a Tsunami 24 cheapish...are you looking for 22mm RDAs only?

I love my tsunami 24, I have bad nerves but that velocity deck is so easy to build on and there is a tsunami 22 if he's after a 22mm RDA

Also I put a small fused clapton in my berserker and the deck is tiny so could try that with your RDA

I will try building a small fused Clapton I think, as I want to start building more advanced coils asap. I could just use a tiny gauge wire for the wrap I guess.
I have been considering a tsunami for a month or so now...I may just have to get one next week.
Thanks for all the advice, I am really liking this forum so far!

I love the tsunami24 it's great. I like the 510 dt adapter the best.

That thing can handle some monster coils. I usually use micro coils but I had A quad twisted ss316l build @ 4mm diameter

It's a great RDA for sure and velocity decks are a breeze to build on.
And yeah you can definitely get monster builds in there

I love my Royal Hunter. The largest wire I've used in mine was triple twisted and fused Clapton.

Thanks I will try to build a triple twisted and fused Clapton! That should hold me off on my wire building craze until my new rda arrives from China.

~FWIW you get a better connection IF you strip the wrapper back from the conductor wire,, The used to be SOP for Self wicking wire... ie, Claptons.
