I have days off of work but you would have to do laundry, fix things put up with wacko SIL, etc?
Wanna trade?

Hey, you still needing firewood?

We got a loaded from the woods truckload of timbered logs and expect another truckload in tomorrow. They'll need to be cut down w/ chain saw/s to firewood size ... then split. I'll end up with plenty of surplus for the shed we're filling. Also, got need of a dog or three? :)

@Wicked Gene, Ha! Beat you to the killer ninja tree assassins this time. You don't get to pulp them. :)

Ok, as I noted previously, I solved the battery problem with the DB 160 -- it's now showing a full battery display. However, I CANNOT get it to read the resistance AT ALL; all it keeps showing is "check atomizer", no matter what I do to it. The current coil is showing on the ohm meter as 1.77Ω, which should be WELL within any specs for any mod. The lil "manual" is less than helpful, as per usual for those things. It says that if it doesn't ask if it's a new coil, to "screw in" the atomizer, press the fire btn till it says "check atomizer", then "screw back" the atomizer (whatever that means) and do it again... and there is no change.

So what do I do to get it to read the resistance correctly?

Andria
For now...Just very slowly loosen the atomizer until it gets a reading.
Then turn it off and back on.
I think to permanently fix the issue you might need pull the 510 on the mod/device.

Ok, FELLOW squonkers, I am finally squonking. :) I did what I said and just inserted one of the un-modified squonk pins... so there's about a 2-3mm gap between the Magma and the DB 160... but it finally read the resistance!

tumblr_oxlbz9a1q01vga2mio1_1280.jpg

It's reading it at 1.64Ω, but that's close enough for gov't work -- the 1.77Ω I read on the ohm meter was before it was pulsed, wicked, and juiced, after all. Still at break-in wattage, at 9.3w (already boosted from 9.2w, so it's vaping pretty well considering it just got started!). Before I go to bed tonight, it will probably get to 9.5w, and then 9.6w tomorrow. It's a bit looser draw than the Achilles even with my modifications, so it might go to 9.8 or 10w and still be comfortable for me to vape.

It worketh. It Squonketh. :D Thank you very very very much to everyone for putting up with all my whining, and especially to WickedGene and Pevinsghost for the PIFs -- couldn't have done it without all of you, but especially you two! :blowkiss:

:bliss:
Andria
Glad it is all worked out for you...Happy squonking!

Yep Marlboros are $5/pack of 20 here.
If I bought all my juice it might be just as cheap to smoke.
About the same price here. But dogman said 41 for a 40 pack. A dollar a cigarette. I can get a bunch of juice for 40 bucks.

No way to set up portable wind breaks? I'm thinking something like a sail clothe strung up between two masts standing parallel to one another, maybe have them on caster blocks. Then folks could twist, turn them ... move them elsewhere per need. It would not need to be sail clothe per say but something akin to such a notion, then redirect the wind away from the fires. Douse the fires as quick as can. Use the sail cloths then as condensation water collectors by stuffing the ground end into some safe food grade plastic totes.

I am sure glad you found some squonk stuff you really like.

the dark side is edging in on ya :)

Yeah, I think it might be -- I was really pleasantly surprised by how tight the draw is, on the Strike18 -- most of the time, when i ask for suggestions for a tight-draw atty, I get suggestions that are like freakin wind tunnels! This one REALLY IS tight!!!

That is great news! Sine you like the draw and possibly the flavor out of the Strike 18, I would suggest getting a couple more as a backup! I have the 14 mm one and like it but I like the Viper v2 better (14 mm also).

Thank you and Cromwell for the moniker! The Viper v2 is capable of restricted DL as well as the above mentioned "butthole tight" draw as well.

Cromwell gets all the credit for that one :giggle::giggle::giggle:

Vash answered! I ordered the sampler pack. This is the first time I will try NET juices or got close to tobacco flavors since I smoked my last cigarette. If I like it, I may just start extracting my NET from a pipe tobacco I used to love a long time ago.

I've told every Innokin rep I've been able to pin down for 30 seconds that is a thing that needs to happen.

I've gotten them to admit it's something they've at least thought about and done some research on.

That's the thing about Innokin, they will absolutely not release until they are sure they got it right.
Then please explain the Thermo.

Looks like a tank but ain't.
Can't be used like a normal dripper either. So basically it fails on multiple levels.

But it's shiny! With that funnel thing it shouldn't spit back either!......unless you get condensation in that thing.

How does it work? I see some pics in Imgur, and the description on Reddit, but nowhere a description of how it actually works.

But yes, I don't think most of you truly understand the kind of draw I require -- like a CIGARETTE'S!!! Or maybe a carto, though even that is a bit airier than an actual cigarette. I want the sensation of a HARD PULL, not an empty straw. Like the thickest milkshake you ever had.

Andria
It wouldn't work for you I'm afraid.Hell it wouldn't work for me either. Now that I think of it I'm not sure it would work for most people.

I was really nervous that the 18 would be too loose, after your initial report of the 14. But the smallest hole REALLY IS tiny! It looks more like the smallest hole on the Berserker, which is .8mm, not a whole 1mm. I've tried a 14mm RDA before, the very first MtL RDA I ever tried was the Igo-S... and yeah, it had a tight draw, but the deck and chamber were both so very tiny, it was hard to build, and I didn't get a lot of flavor from it -- which has usually been the case for me, with side-airflow attys -- the Strike 18 seems to be the first side-airflow I've tried that might actually have a decent amount of flavor -- though it's still hard to say for sure, since the break-in is still on-going (I cheated and went back to the Achilles while I was cooking, since I didn't have the time to be fiddle-fucking with an atomizer, while trying to cookl!)

I always went along with the accepted creed of small chamber, domed chamber, etc... but the Achilles has neither, and has the most flavor of any atty I've ever tried -- it's a 22mm atty with a HUGE chamber, and not domed inside... but the flavor will knock you down.

I love the Pico Squeeze - but I don't recommend it to cloud chasers or high wattage vapers
I got one of them. It is fine enough if you build the coils right. It is not regulated, it is not mech. It is a "protected" type mod that has a upper limit of 50w (I think). At this time I have the SXK made Viper v2 on it. It has a 1.5 mm I'D 8 wraps at 0.6ish ohms. Fine MTL vape.

I'm not too particular about coffee, it all tastes like swill to me unless made in a French press, and who has time for that? So if the coffee itself is going to taste bad, might as well go cheap and use heavy cream to make it actually taste good.

Tea on the other hand. I thought I hated tea when I was young until I found the good stuff. Love a good cup of oolong in particular.
Just get better coffee FFS.

I never vape over 50 watts anyway. Should work fine with a wasp.
