I noodle around on the 'net or I read. I even just do something like cook or play with my kids. I care for an elderly relative so I often have periods of high stress, so the little things that bring me peace are a huge help to me.

Besides medication, I read, garden, cook, or fly my Dragon and fish in Azeroth. I've never watched much tv willingly. The advertising and manipulation annoy me. :cloud:

In the past I generally kept a dog and that was a great comfort.

Weather permitting, I take pup out, either to play in the back yard, or I sit in the swing out there and watch her goof around, or take her for a good walk. She loves walks and looks so happy when she's outside! Rough weather, I lounge with Netflix.

If I'm at work, I turn up the music I'm listening to. Rock usually does the trick.

I keep meaning to buy a good paracord bracelet. Once I find one I like. :)
Hope you can find one you like.
But, if you can't find one... PM me maybe we could work something out. If not that's cool.
I couldn't find one that I liked. That is why I decided to make them. My whole family has more than one.
I put charms on the ones for my mom and me, LOL.
I've sold a few.
Made watch bands with compass and whistles in them. A family member is deaf, so I put a whistle in it just incase he would need it if something were to happen.
I have three watch band orders I gotta get done...for family.
I really enjoy making them :)

We haven't been giving out candy the past couple of years, but this year, since The Dementor likes to sit outside for hours at a time smoking her death sticks, we'll probably let her do it. She likes kids. We just started having too many grownass kids coming, not even in costume, shoving pillow cases at us and expecting us to give them stuff. The hell with that.

Coloring books have been my mother's go to stress reliever ever since I can remember. The only time we got along was sitting at the table coloring together. @Khassy get the Dementor a couple of coloring books, might actually help. We used them at the nursing home.

Tried that. She thinks they're childish, even the adult coloring books. Which is a bummer because I like coloring in them, too.

Vaping is my general all-purpose stress reliever

Lately, I have returned to doing yoga after falling off of the practice for about 15 years

Forgot how relaxing and good it is for this old bod, hahaha
Wife unit was going to start Tai Chi for elderly today.
Took her to town and note on door said cancelled for today....

On weekends, I like to take short drives on my country roads listening to some really entertaining shows on NPR.

But every night, I will sip a big mug of hot milk with flavored creamer and read before going to bed.

Just confirms that I am indeed an old fart!

I read every night in bed to fall asleep - have done that since I was a kid

Same here but I have upgraded to an Amazon Kindle Paperwhite E-Reader.

Damn, I just can't imagine life without the sucker!

I use a Kindle Paperwhite also - an xmas present.

Thought I would hate it and didn't fire it up for over a year

Once in a blue moon I try to read a regular book in bed and it seems like hind tit

People who have no hobbies and such are pains in the butt when they get old.

The problem with The Dementor is that all of her previous hobbies involved her husband, so we can't remind her to do them or she thinks of him and starts to sob. The only thing she used to do on her own was going shopping, even if she didn't buy anything. But now she can't drive herself and can't walk very long so even that's out.

Don't get me wrong, I love my ebooks. I'm just not allowed to read them in bed anymore. :( Gotta stick to paperbacks now.

That's too bad

Sometimes when I settling in the sack - got my Kindle propped on its stand, lights out, vaping my head off - these modern times have merit :)

Not really, just setting a role model for them.

I will be short yet again.

As someone who failed to reach a full five feet in height, the question had to be asked

Yeah, I used to do that, too. But now I'm not supposed to use a screen at all within 2 hours of going to bed. Yet here I am on my computer 15 minutes before bedtime. :giggle:
