Hello guys. I am new on this forum and I am only few months in "vaping world" but i love it.
I used to smoke cigarettes few years and now I am free :)
I am enjoying awesome flavors on my Avocado 24 from GeekVape and Predator 228w from Wismec.
I am using prebuilt coils because i am little bit lazy and I am scared that i will f*ck it up :D I need to learn that, I know.

I have few questions. I tried to find answers on this forum, google, youtube but it is complicated through the slow phone :D

Now to the topic.
I realy enjoy watching vape tricks and i would like to learn that too.
I am starting with basic O's but my O disapear in few seconds. It is so thin and not milky like on videos.

What things can change this?
What i found but i am not sure if it is true is:
Liquid - i need high VG
Resistance - i need low resistance set up (0.1-0.2 ohms)
If i am on low resistance i need high wattage right?
Airflow - not much air
Is it all?

Also i have question about grip.
What is a benefit of using mech instead of mod? Guys on videos are using mech mostly.

Thank you for all advices.

I apologize for bad english and maybe dumb question :(

High wattage more air lower ohms. But you sound pretty new so I'm not sure I'd mess with a mech mod just yet. A lot of variables and you need to learn ohms law so you don't have a bad time. Research is your best friend in the vaping world.

Stick with learning about vaping first. Answers aren't that hard to find here or with Google. The only real question you asked is about vape tricks.what other questions do you have. I'd stick with premade coils for now.

So should i look for low ohm coils and using high wattage?
Could you please provide example in numbers? What is the ideal set up to achieve milky clouds. Thank you.

You don't have to go super low. Hell you really can get what you're looking for until you learn how to build at least basic coils. But I stress and can't stress enough. OHMS LAW..... It's your best friend.steam-engine.org,, seriously. Huge milky clouds are nice but there's a learning curve to this. Don't jump in the ocean before you can swim,or the undertow will hurt you.which is bad for your health and the rest of the vaping community.

You can achieve serious clouds with off the shelf hardware and coils. Don't endanger some new vaper with mechs or building RDA/RTA's

Okay so can you please give me specific answer like what should i do or buy? Like for example use coils made of xxxx with xxx ohms and ideal wattage should be arround xxx. I don't mean super risky stuff like some pros do and use on mechs. Just some improvement than i use. Than you.

I'm trying to keep him away from building and clouds bro. That's all he wants to know about though. I'm definitely not trying to endanger anyone

I can use pre built coils for the beginning but i need to know which atributes are important and ideal and what should i look for. That will be all for now.

And I will use it on my mod so i need to know wattage as well. I am not goin to buy mech because i don't have knowledge how it works. I only asked why they use mech instead of mod.

Ok guys when i started i bough istick pico where you have these coils i don't know how they are called but when you burn them you just buy new one. Now I have avocado rdta and i am using prepared coils. I am already using coils. I am asking which type of them should i buy. There is no smaller step than this...

This is what I use now. I don't made them. I bought them at store. I am not confident to build them yet.
Look at the pictures. I am using that coil on left side. I don't know if this description helps: 3x28g + 36g Nichrome80; 2.5mm; 0.25omhs on dual.
Does it help?
Just tell me what coils should be better for milky clouds and also wattage and mod settings maybe.

on a regulated device you dont really have to think about ohms law or resistance. just give it more power and open up the airflow until you get the vape you want. the only concern is that your wicks dont dry out and your atomizer doesnt get too hot. there is no 'use x watts at y resistance' answer. it all depends on your coils and how much power they require to give the desired vape (coil mass : power). your only limit is your mods resistance/amp limits (varies by device).

on a (parallel or single battery) mech, you get about 4v, and the wattage is dependent on the resistance of the coils (and the amount you can safely pull is dependent on your battery config/available amps). the trick is to build a well balanced coil (coil mass : power). the only way to adjust the type of vape you get is to build a different coil until you get what you want. if you build wrong you get either a bad vape (too cold or hot), or a damaged/exploding battery, so you want to know the rules and start out slowly. thats why everyone is always so hard on new people asking about mechs. if you just copy someone elses build without understanding how and why it works, you will eventually make a mistake. that steam engine site is a great way to do all the math easily. you can build any coil in wire wizard and check the ohms law calculator to see the amps/watts it draws in a mech mod to make sure its safe. my suggestion is to practice these principles on a regulated device until you stop making mistakes and understand all the details, and then try a mech mod if thats what you want to do. once you get one set up 'properly' (whatever that means for you will likely be different from me or anyone else here), its hard to beat.

regarding buying premade coils, it looks like you got some good ones (3x28g + 36g Nichrome80). those could be fused claptons, or aliens, depending on the look of the wrap (clapton wraps are straight, aliens have a ripple/wave to them). almost every fancy coil is clapton wrapped, no matter whats inside (2 or more round wires, stacks of flat ribbon wire, or both). alien wraps are just wavy clapton wraps (that help with wicking and are hard to make). any of this stuff will be good for thick clouds and tricks. just make sure when you are buying premade wire, to get stuff with at least 36 gauge wrap or higher. the larger the wraps, the worse the performance gets, and the market is flooded with cheap coils wrapped in 32g, so be selective when youre shopping around (36 is generally considered to be as big as you want to go before performance drop is noticeable). to conclude this section, ill just quickly say that making your own coils is ideal because you can really fine tune your vape experience until its perfect. the coil building forums here will turn you into a pro if youre not careful...have a look around

good luck and welcome to the forum

Man i love you.
Thank you!! So if I just addjust wattage on my mod i will have more milky cloud right? Is there any max. wattage i could use to be safe? And yes those coils are marked as Aliens.
If i set my mod to 50W and now I am on 0.22 ohms when i push the fire button i am on 15A and 3.32V
I know i have A LOT to learn.
I take this as another one small step forward.
So for now my coils are fine and I need only more wattage right? I am not sure what is the limit (ofc mod can go up to 228W) but to not burn myself.
Or did I understand it incorrectly?

Be careful there. Depending on your premade coils it should say a recommended wattage on them (at least mine do). As i'm still relatively new to the world of sub-ohm vaping I try not to veer off from this too much. So on my 0.3 coil it says 35-40 watts. I've heard of people who go over, but be careful it's not by too much (so not up to 220 for sure!). Just make sure you do the research on your coils to find out what's safe. I'm actually on 25 watts at the moment (as i'm getting used to going form MTL to DL) and already getting nice clouds, so not sure cranking up the wattage is your only way to bigger clouds.

And you mentioned VG liquid. From my understanding (and experience now) the higher the VG the thicker the cloud. So not sure what you're using. I'm currently using 30/70 pg/vg and getting some nice clouds.

There is no recommended wattage on them :(
When I am on low wattage it takes ages to heat coil and produce vapor. I usually run arround 45-50 W I don't know how high I can go

the regulated devices will protect you from damaging anything, so just crank up your power a little bit at a time, take a few rips and see how it is. eventually it will be scary hot, and you can back it down a bit. it will be too hot to vape way before it will be unsafe. experiment and find your sweet spot. just keep an eye on your wicks and make sure they can keep up. vaping dry wicks can be terrifying

your style will also likely change over time. i started out on factory coilheads and 12mg juice, taking long cold direct lung hits (.5ohms at 25w), then i got a regulated mod with more power and started building basic coils and moved down to 6mg (warm vape at .2 to .4 ohms, 40-80w), and then onto mech mods where some of my builds hit 230w (.28 at 8v on parallel-series), which is a very hot and short/instant lung hit. i also still vape at 15w on a 1 ohm (at 18mg) coil sometimes because that can be a great vape too, when the time is right. you just have to try everything you can

I've never Vaped a triple core fused Clapton but I use duals every day. Drop your wattage maybe try taking a little longer hit. I usually count to 3. Sometimes you can't get the clouds that others get on video because they build ultra low and it's almost unsafe depending on your battery.surely you have to be satisfied with something. And the clouds look smaller as you're blowing them away from your face.

Any suggestions what should I try?
Different coils? Material? Cotton? Atomizer?
Where is the magic? :D I still don't know.

I'm sure nobody else is chiming in because they are annoyed. I am going to say the issue is more than likely the avocado more than anything. Do some research on cloud chucking rdas and use a dripper. Get one that you can build some 4mm coils on. Bigger coil equals more cotton and less dry hits. Just go on YouTube and look up cloud chasing tips. I'm not cloud chaser I just know from my own experience.

Also.... inhale hard and fast.... and the longer you hold it in the less vapor you exhale.

You're right, you jumped right off the cliff, with some concrete boots on. Others at least walk in the ocean, out of the shallow sand and drown there. You just gave the coast guards some work... Gl on your journey, maybe you try standing on your head, butt ass naked, cracking your nuts with your own butt cheeks, might get you those juicy milky clouds much faster.

I don't think anybody is willing to help you here, because if you can't be bothered to do research of the basics, doubt we can be bothered to put you at a risk.

A big factor is how you draw on it, and the wattage, and the airflow. Coils like that take time to "ramp up" or come up to temperature.

The key to cloud tricks, or thick clouds is dense favor. You generally need higher watts to produce more vapor, but higher watts means more heat. If you are running a "hot" build it's typical to hit them harder (draw more air, faster) The rapid air movement over the coils helps keep the vapor cooler. If you have too much open air flow you will still get thin clouds.

The balance for you sounds like wattage, your air flow adjustment (try playing between wide open, and half, to see the difference, hitting it the same way both times)

Most importantly is how you are hitting it. A slower weaker draw on higher wattage will turn into one nasty hot hit really quick. Like-wise, on a low wattage build it takes a while to heat up, isn't dense, and you end up with thin clouds. Add too much air flow to that, and you get even thinner clouds.

Basically what I'm saying is there is a LOT that goes into cloud production, flavourful hits, and everything in between. Your best bet is to just play with your wattage (You are safe on that mod, those coils could handle more heat than your throat and lungs ever can) And figure out what works for you.

There are not set numbers when it comes to thick clouds. It all comes down to what works for that particular person. I vape high wattage, long powerful draws, my friend burns almost half the watts on a different setup, hits it a different way and can get just as thick of clouds, just maybe smaller.

So should i look for low ohm coils and using high wattage?
Could you please provide example in numbers? What is the ideal set up to achieve milky clouds. Thank you.
OK so you have a regulated 228W mod. This is your main limiting factor. Your minimum resistance is probably 0.10 ohm (same as most regulated mods)
So you are also using premade coils. To get thick vapor, preheat your coil by blowing out, then start your inhale.. Lower air = thicker vapor and more heat. Adjust airflow to cool the vapor.
The main thing is let out some vapor after your inhale, fill your mouth with thick vapor from your lungs, and then blow your rings. It takes practice.
For clouds.. You want high heat and air. Blow out to ramp up the coil, inhale, then exhale as soon as your inhale is done. Keep your lips firmly in place.
Cloud chasers build their own coils. They also use an RDA (drip atomizer). Your regulated mod will be better for this. 228w is a lot of power so can push some fairly large coils. You want to maximize the surface area of your coil and heat it fast enough to vaporize juice as fast as possible.
