RTA Tanks (Rebuildable Tank Atomizers) are one of the most popular types of vaping device sold in the market. RTA vape tanks allow vapers to build their own coil architectures and customize their own unique vaping experience. Today, I will list the best RTA Tank in 2017, and you can choose the best tank in the following list..
Is the latest Wotofo Viper RTA or Vandy Vape Kylin RTA?
Give me your choice. and you can reply more other rta in the thread.

The best rta is the one you reach for the most. What's best to me is the Reload, but it may be over priced junk to someone else. There are shortcomings in all of them. It all depends on the point of view of the individual.

Seems to me, the better subject for a poll would be "What is your favorite rta of 2017?"

The Aromamizer Plus would be the best RTA of 2017 for me.

I haven't tried every RTA released this year though but have tried a lot.

I haven't tried them all either, by a long shot! :)

I just last week got the Medusa Reborn which is more a glorified rda than an rta to me, but whatever. I'm waiting on some good coils for it but in the meantime, I may have to wind up some simple 26g ss316 coils just to try it out. ;)

I'm loving my Serpent SMM. Really took me by surprise for a single coil tank. The airflow is weird but works great and getting a ton of flavor out of it. I don't have one yet, but from all I've read, the Reload should also make that list.

I've got the Reload clone but I'm saving up for the authentic. I get just as much flavor out of it as I do my rda. The 3.5ml capacity is a bit of a drawback but only because it's practically all I'm using right now.

I'm seriously thinking about getting the SMM for its single coil use. I've been watching several videos on it and I really like what I'm seeing. I've got a huge single ssfc coil I got from Raymo2u that would be right at home in it. :)

2 questions for all you reload owners
1. does it have jfc?
2. how securely is the glass held on when you open it up to get to the deck? the griffin 25 mini is built similarly and that glass will often pop off teh oring and leak for me

JFC?, it doesn't have one and seriously doesn't need it.
The glass is on securely and zero problems. I've got the Kylin and that one does have issues that you need to be careful.

No juiceflow control but not needed. It has not leaked on me once, even when refilling. The glass is held on real tight by the top orings and you can remove the deck with juice still in it.

Casting my vote for, Oh wait it's not there...

Bellus V2, unfortunately their head of Social Media/Advertising recently changed and are doing a horrible job at it, almost nobody knows it was even released.

Serpent SMM for me for 2017 for sure. Obsessed with this tank for the first week. I rewick every 2 days because I'm vaping so damn much lol. The draw and flav I'm getting has been amazing. Have went through a bunch of RTAs this year and the Kylin would be second.

For myself Engine Nano, tho not sure about release date. SMM a close second. Honestly I haven't tried most the ones on the list. No patience for finicky wicking.

Talk about finicky wicking. The Nano has to be the worst RTA I've ever purchased. With all due respect some people enjoy it and have good results. Even 3 of my buddies got the Nano and want to use a sledgehammer to it. I even tried it over the weekend and it was crap. Using a 3.5 ID SS316 Clapton and moved the coil up and down and rewicked about 5 times. Never have I had an RTA that had to be adjusted so many times. I got the Nano at launch months ago. Sorry about the rant but damn that tank makes me pissed off lol. Muted Flav city.

I have the original OBS Engine and it is leaps and bounds better than the Nano. Everyone has their own opinions, likes and dislikes. I'm just chiming in from my experience

I gave votes for the Vandy Vape Kylin and Geek Vape Ammit Dual-Coil...both are a pleasure to build on and vape on.

Cheers,

At the moment mine is the Ijoy Exo but I've got the Reload and SMM on my defiantly must get list

Grab yourself a Kindbright Reload clone from 3FVape to see if you want to spend the quid for an authentic. On mine, the threads are really smooth and the o-rings seal well. The deck is gold plated, but it's really thin coating and the deck also appears to not be made quite as heavy as the authentic. Grub screws are decent - not great, but do the job and don't appear to be in danger of stripping.

Even though it's got a wide chimney, it's really short so it's almost like vaping on an rda. You can run it in single coil mode if you wanted with the postless deck.

I don't know if I mentioned before, but I like mine so well, I'm saving up for the real thing as soon as I can possibly get it. :)

Thanks mate I'll take look at doing that :) got 9 RDAs on the way from 3Fvape at the moment doing a big head to head with them so that'll keep me busy for a while :)

It's a RDTA, right?;)
I don't know what they are called these days, but when I first started vaping it was called a genesis style tank. RDA's were called drippers and the crap stuff was called clearomizers. if RDTA means rebuildable dripping atomizer then no because it's not a dripper but then again, I don't know the terms people use for different types of atomizers.

just curious think back to 2009/2010 does anyone here know why we call the devices "mods?"

The SMM is a great RTA. I know the airflow is divisive, but the flavor is amazing. It has the most forgiving wicking I have used and I have had mine since it hit the market and have yet to have a leak.

I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I cannot get the SMM to wick properly. This is my first rta. I have to constantly loosen the top to get it to wick. Is my juice to Sweet and baking on the coil and burning the wick? The pics are after 12ml or so of juice. I'm using cotton bacon with advanced Vapes 3mm quad core coils on a g2 at 55w. I've cleaned the coil and rewicked 3 times varying the amount of wicking each time. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

Cleaned and Rewicked with kendo gold. Dropped it to 45w, at least I'm seeing smoky air bubbles in the tank after a hit. Ignore my man purse.

Not an expert by any means but it looks like you may have too much cotton. I comb it out an cut it to a length where it just barely goes into the holes. Too think and it'll cause dry hits. Too thin and it leaks. It's just finding the right balance.

My top are not on the list.
Reload
Churchill
and considering a Sherman

I rank the Reload at the top because I have been using it for months, but the Churchill is right there with it for flavor imo.

btw hated the Ammit.
