Hmmm... no new posts? Time for another boring weather report?
103 F at 54% RH = “feels like” ~137 F (58 C), and in spite of this outrageous heat, the chickens laid 20 eggs today... :p

Oh, hey, how about something vape related? Anyone figure this oddity out? I use Kanger 1.8-Ohm premade coil-wick assemblies. Usually, when I put in a new one, the display tells me it is 1.87 or 1.92 or some such silly number, which I always ignore because... well, why would it really matter anyway? As time goes by and the wick starts to gain a slight gunk build-up, the Ohms display is usually up around 2.01 to 2.15 and it won't be long from that point that it needs to be changed (varies from 2-4 weeks, depending on how much constant daily use that particular tank gets). But I have an oddball now. I started at 1.90, went up to 2.12, then started coming back down? What? No, I did not clean it. It kept dropping... 1.7, 1.6, 1.5. 1.25. and all the way down to 0.90-Ohms! It is still functioning very well. As a matter of fact, the flavor is better than when it was brand new. It is reading 1.01 at this moment (up just a tad). WTF? I was wondering if the coil wire was burning itself up without breaking apart and thereby decreasing its diameter (wire gauge) and therefore becoming lower in Ohms rating. But that wouldn't account for the up and down, up and down. That is, if it burned off to become 0.90, it should not go back up to 1.01. Anyone got any bright ideas?
Conductivity between the loops, there are a few of them close enough to touch each other.

Actually, from what I saw when I bothered to take one of these factory attys apart last year (too tiny for my arthritic hands to repair), they are already contact coils - that is, all the loops are already touching each other.
My guess then one of them is shorting to the one next to it. You could possibly strum the coil with a tiny screwdriver, like we do with regular contact coils and see if it goes back to proper resistance.

@Draconigena

It's a very tasty dish, it's just the word that puts people off, if it lived in the sea, it would be more acceptable. We eat all kinds of crap, bloody liver, sheep's brains, pig skin, raw fish.
Maybe that's just us, oh...and let's not forget a rabbit stew or a steak n kidney Pie woot woot

Oh well.

Yep would have thought that Brits had better taste.

Ah but it was served with a garlic sauce ;)

Not me. I won't touch any of that stuff. But, come to think of it, after eating at an RAF bombing range for a few years, I did finally decide to like black pudding (blood sausage), but the very first time, I nearly upchucked right at the breakfast table.

This is being done at Cedar Canyon Bible Camp, so all these children are good little Christians (even if I am not). :)

First day was an introduction to cartooning and how to draw cute faces. Today will be Bodies and the expressions/emotions conveyed by various positions of arms and legs (please keep your sexual comments to yourself).

So far, they all seem to be interested and some of them show real talent. The only problem was my own - I am an oldt phart and standing at the white board for more than three hours without a break was very draining, to the point where I suffered ankle and calf cramps last night. It was nearly 100 degrees in the classroom (an old barn) and I needed much more water than I had available. Ah, for the good old days when I could teach any subject all day long with vigor and enthusiasm... Oh well... (Oops, sorry Emmy)

Sexual comments in the subject matter of little Christian children, not even I'm that bad.
My art skills go as far as stick men, although I did used to draw them with a willy on at school and past it round but hey I was only 8, hmmm, I was also smoking at that age, guess I was a Rebel.

3 hours standing in that heat with not enough water, next you will be telling me your not getting paid.

Sounds like you need to get back to the farm for a rest.....

Come to think of it, I am actually paying them for the privilege of teaching their children. Not only am I giving them 20 hours of my time, but about five gallons of gas to drive out there and back every day this week, plus the cost of making the color photocopies of the above 8x10 cartoon for each of them to take home and practice with. Sigh (or should that be "oh well..."?).

Then again, their main preacher sat in on my first class today and, afterward, thanked me for doing it. I told him that if even just a few of them found a spark in themselves that would lead them to pursue art, it was well worth the investment.

Well with my jokes aside, that's a very kind and caring way to look at it.
Sorry if I came across as a grumpy bugger and actually without people like yourself passing knowledge on to new generation's, everything would start to fall apart.

In fact, so many skills are being lost these days, take my grandfather for instance, one of the finest tool makers in the country, all that skill and knowledge lost....

I admire what your doing for those children but I'd be filling me some bottles of water up to take with me at least.

Quick hello from Paris, it's raining today so looks like a tour of more vape shops and pubs. Rixy took me in a sex shop yesterday and I couldn't stop laughing at some of the stuff in there, why anyone would want to inflate and stretch their anus is beyond me. Or why a man would agree to be put in a chastity belt with very sharp spikes on the middle so he can't escape it.
There are some strange people about, what every happened to good old fashioned love making, it certainly was an eye opener but I did buy some cock rock for Rixy to suck on but her refused, it was strawberry flavor too.

Just to get this part out of the way, before the holiday I had a miscarriage, thankfully it was in the early stages, I don't need anyone to feel sorry for me, I'm OK, these things happen, I actually think the food poisoning played a part in it, I was really poorly. Anyway, I had to mention it because I didn't want people asking how far I was gone and be put in an awkward situation, so I thought I would get it out there and over and done with.

Love to everyone x

First Impressions, few thoughts on the Serpent SMM

What a fantastic single coil RTA, I found that lowering the coil is a myth, I have the bottom airflow right at the bottom, hardly hitting the coil, that brings the air from underneath as well as the other two hitting the sides, that give me the most flavor. A really nice vape and I wasn't expecting it to be so airy after the reviews, just lately, there is so much good gear around, anyone into their single coils should try this one. Def a night time chilling vape, keeper !

You can take nice slow long draws on this and it won't dry hit, just the way I like to vape, as I've said before, I'm getting more and more into this style of vaping with these single coils, way more satisfying than full air, super suckin, clouds bro clouds.

Going to try a Mohawk Alien coil in this tomorrow, I think it will work well..

Well, I see participation here is dying again, so I'm gonna share a few pix I knocked off (about 1-2 minutes each on notebook paper) to take to that class and transfer to the classroom white board. Believe it or not, many of those kids ARE getting it and drawing "reasonable" representations.... so maybe Atcha and Rixy should give it a shot too, huh? o_O

You have a talent, I on the other hand can't draw, Im terrible lol.

As for this thread.....

I did post in the womper thread out of bordem and a lot came back, BUT 99% of them were already there and this thread was already quiet and dead in the water.

I got loads of PM's over there asking why we had come back....ERM, it wasn't me, y'all were already there !

Peeps on here with the classic "sorry I've been busy" were posting there daily. I love the womper family and it seems everyone prefers it there, although nobody has the balls to say that lol

Its crazy that nobody felt comfortable saying anything but man, after spending so much time together, don't just leave without explanation.

You ain't busy, you just don't wanna post here.

So yeah, people disappear and if you do ask them, you get the same answer.....I use both places, that's also questionable when it's 10% here and 90% there lol

Bottom line is - example - the refugee thread for instance, I find that place embarrassing, reminds me of mos eisley cafe in Star Wars lol gimme the front porch anyday, at least your made to feel welcome there. Apart from this thread, we had nowhere to go, that's not the case there....

Oh well

The main reason I posted in this thread was because of Rixy, Emmy, Rich, Lannie and a few others posting here.

Rich I don't think that you and I can keep it alive.

Oh well.

Nice pics btw Rich.
I cannot draw curves am only good at drafting type of drawing.
My sisters can draw curvey stuff. I think it has to do with my being mostly 'face blind'.

I'll still post here just wanted to say it how it is.

It's all good, I wasn't having a go at anyone but considering how long we have all known each other it made sense to me to talk about it instead of either not posting or making excuses.

Those are awesome!!!!
Hey guys! this is cool!
I haven't been posting anywhere for around 3 weeks. Had the most HORRIBLE case of bronchitis that is finally getting better now. I did post at ecf for a bit, because for some reason all I had to do is click on an email from a thread and it would auto-log me in. For some reason, I couldn't auto-login to VU from here at work.
Now, at home, my internet has been out more than it has been on! Also, before I got bronchitis, a bird laid its eggs under my scorching hot porch cover in a chair. Well, for 2 weeks I was working my butt off painting the roof, hanging blankets, putting fans out, etc. I think that's what started the whole bronchitis thing.
It's soooooooooooooooooooooo good seeing my buds!

Oh and Mr. Fuzzy D, I'll try it. I mean the sketches. I even picked up a little sketch pad last week.
A trick for both of you... if you wanna learn and do so in an easy manner, print out a few of the doodles I posted, then use tracing paper to draw them again and again and again. You will get a feel for the curves and where/when to stop any given line. When you are comfortable with that, pull out a regular piece of typing/copy paper and a #2 pencil and just draw it.

Today, by the way, was the final day of my class with the kids. About 1/3 of them made drawings worthy of display, so I used push pins and hung them in the camp cafeteria for anyone to appreciate their skill/talent. And, believe it or not, I did get paid for working there all week. A little girl, about 8 or 10 years old, ran up to me after class, gave me a big hug and said she really enjoyed the class and thanked me very much. I haven't a clue who she is and she didn't know me before Monday. How precious!

I did get a pic of the mother bird feeding one of the babies a HUGE leaf hopper. And it ate the whole thing!

I feel the same way about the little girl. She will always remember him. As for the wine yes I did miss it. Hehehe. As for the Judge Judy episode I was concerned that you wouldn't be able to understand them with their thick accents being from the UK and all. LOL

I knew before going into this that all the students would be between 8-14 years old. And if you think about their ages versus mine, I could have been teaching a classroom full of my own great grandchildren (assuming, of course, my own daughter had ever bothered to have any, which she didn't, but...). I suspect the older kids did this only because they were scheduled for a "crafts class," not necessarily because they wanted to learn to draw cartoons. Obviously, however, one little girl was awed by the whole thing and let me know. I also will never forget her.

I really love this story rich. And I promise I will give it a try. As soon as I get some time. I just caught a mouse in my house and had to chunk it over the fence. I didn't have the heart to kill it.
