I did a search but didn't find any info on this RDTA/RDA so decided to start a thread.

More info here: https://vaptio.com/catalogue/rdta-tank_87/#

Just got mine a little while ago, so far I like the build quality and the vape I am getting. Planning on putting a few more builds in it and trying the RDA section before doing a final review.

Built mine up the other day Mjag absolutely awesome flavour I get on this one.... its right up there as one of my best RDTAs in that department

for sure needs a big ass dual coils though to get the best from it, it's a builders wet dream for that I was able to get 10mm wide coils in there and I still had room

However it's not without a few flaws for me Like the drip tip needs to swappable, and it does get bloody hot at the top prefer the grub screws to be slightly bigger in the posts

For a first time launch though not a bad bloody effort you know gonna spend bit more time with mine really work out it quirks before I pass final judgement on it

I agree @KingPin!, the drip tip is a little too small, would be nice if I could swap it out.

I am finding I like to take out the spitback guard, not a huge jump but a little better flavor.

The flavor and vape quality so far trumps the slight cons. Impressed with the build quality too.

Damn mate I haven't tried that yet I will do later though ...the anti spitback thing works really well though so didn't see a need to remove it before ...I guess because the chamber is high might not be needed

These are the coils I'm running in mine made them for the Merlin RDTA at the time because it seems to be one of the few decks that can take larger coils on the 25mm front but now I have this RDTA can't see I'll be using the Merlin much now better flavour and vape experience out of this for me

I like that channel in particular tells you where to place your coils perfectly

I agree on being better than the Merlin RDTA by a long shot for me, the Merlin RDTA was a dog with flees. I was expecting a lot more, one of the few Augvape tanks I didn't like.

Yep totally hyped up by a few. At best it was an OK RDTA. Maybe next time they'll listen to more than a few beta testers.

I started off with the claptons already included in the pack. Going to rebuild using some triple core parallel claptons in the next few days. Going to try 3.5mm to see how that goes.

Let me know mate especially on the wicking front whether it's tight or not :)

I went with 3x26/36SS 4.5mm ID Alien Claptons in mine and liked it a lot.
Yes, it IS very thirsty as mentioned and has protruding edges on the bottom but it has some nice "PROs".
Like 5ml juice capacity, Velocity style deck, easy fill, 25mm and is changeable from RDTA to RDA.

4.5mm....wow, never used that big either, makes me want to try it out, problem is I don't have a post that big....lol.

Hey @Paratech does it get way hot with the 4.5mm coils?

Yeah, KP, I don't get much spitback either with that guard removed. Pretty cool to have the option though.

Chainvaping in TC 100 watts @ 425° it gets warm but not hot.
Normally I'd run about 480° but get everything I need from this at 425°.

I also tested with and without the anti-spit back piece.
No spit back either way and agree having the choice is nice.
I little more flavor with it removed.

What are the orings like on yours? Mine feel like they could be a little tighter on the AFC ring it's not like top comes off when I pick it up with the mod attached but dunno whether I'd want to shake if you know what I mean

My drip tip is nice and tight though

While I laugh at all the WRONG replies that first came to mind:

Yes, the O-rings are a bit on the thin side and the AFC would be a little more secure, I agree it isn't going to fall off.
I thought I was really going to like that particular drip tip, turns out I am wishing I had a replacement for one that was just a bit taller.
But after a few hits the flavor makes me forget about it.

Any idea who has it in stock? Not getting any joy from Google, and the Vaptio page says "Unavailable".

Just now seeing this review. Damn anti-review "spam" crybabies are harshing my mellow :cuss2:

Definitely gotta try this rdta. Thanks @mjag, and @KingPin!

You'll like it mate still working on my review for it at the moment...got a few things I'm still nailing down on the improvements side but it's a pretty nifty RDTA....beats the Pindad for me in flavour category but not build quality that reflects in the price though...it also drinks like a fish, there are a few things that need improving on the next iteration turbo, Mach three or whatever they come up with LoL ....more wicking is not a bad thing on here id go as far as saying 3mm is the minimum but probably bigger coils are needed ...temp control is the way to go ...but youre sorted in that front :). !!

Big coils and TC? Sounds like it's right in my wheelhouse. I have the Merlin and the Ijoy Combo, and I've found I really enjoy RDTAs. A SS/Red Turbo would be a great match for my red G2 LE.

Just installed some 4mm ID triple core parallel claptons. Since there SS316L and a little springy there more like 4.2mm ID. @Paratech was right, this thing rocks with big coils! Rocking it in RDA mode but technically it is still an RDTA, holds 2ml of juice now.

I am actually digging the look in RDA mode better and a lot more airflow than the Medusa Reborn.

It's just been a bad ass RDTA/RDA for me so far.

Replaced all my orings today MJag much better than the ones pre installed little tighter on everything now

Also tried to wick it differently than it says to in the instruction book ....in that I assembled it all first then poked the cotton down the holes, so much easier I'll be doing that from now on as the cotton doesn't get snagged on the threads creating gaps, Which was leading to oversaturating my cotton when vaping
