Just found a video, now even more interested:

Guess I'll be testing the waterproof myself. hope it doesn't break lol

I'd certainly be more into it if it were DUAL 26650 and 225+ watts.
Does look like it'd fit on my shelf though.
You know you want it lol. even if you'll barely have any builds it can power

Being waterproof it needs to be 100% sealed so nothing for battery venting? Wonder why all the other mods bother with those pesky holes and slots if its not needed.

Yet if you look, they have venting
Now I am very interested in how it is water proof.

my guess is the chip and all connection points are coated. case in point the samsung galaxy S7 edge is waterproof (i have one) yet the USB port is open and it has a sealed battery compartment (no venting) the chip itself is probably sealed off

case in point look at what i did to the rabox

I've taken it in pools for hours and it still works perfectly. hell a few weeks ago i spent like 2 hours in the water with it. Even taken it to water parks. You can't go deep sea diving with it but it withstands hours in pools and waterparks. even in hot tubs

Im sure you did but its still not water proof, its water resistant. Two totally different things. If geek vape could make a mod efficient enough to not need venting and be water proof it wouldnt be $70

it depends on what you mean by water proof. sure you cna't go deep sea diving with it, but normal every day use, going in a pool, going in a shower dropping it in the sink etc it'll be fine. that's waterproof enough for me IMO. If you look at the specs it's IP67 rated which means

The two numbers in the IP67 rating code rating refer to:

  • 6 – ” Dust Protected “; Totally protected against dust ingress.; complete protection against contact
  • 7- ” Immersion Protected “; Protected against short periods of immersion in water.Ingress of water in harmful quantity shall not be possible when the enclosure is immersed in water under defined conditions of pressure and time (up to 1 m of submersion). Test duration: 30 minutes; Immersion at depth of at least 1 m measured at bottom of device, and at least 15 cm measured at top of device
That's an industry standard rating for waterproof stuff (hence the IP code)

Here is a link with more info : http://sourcetech411.com/2013/04/understanding-the-ip67-rating-for-waterproof-cables-and-connectors/

of course I'll test said claims if/when i get one

Well yeah but..... I have no excuse.

I know what the numbers mean, I also know the difference between water proof and water resistant. What I foresee is this, "its waterproof, now I can vape in the pool and in the shower, excellent". Samsung wouldnt even call the S7 waterproof, they just called it water resistant and that thing was $800 when it came out. Im sure it will be water resistant, for a while. A spring loaded 510 thats waterproof, sure, on a $70 mod, no. Im not a single battery guy but I like the thing, I just think they need to change the verbage to water resistant is all

LMAO as someone who orders NEMA 3 weather proof enclosures all the time, I don't think you understand how cheap it is to "waterproof" something. All high end cell phones retail for 800 bucks and most aren't water proof. There is a definition of water proof some call it water resistant. Either way it's more then enough for everday use

Your S7 was $800 & high end 18 months ago, but anyways, at first you said your S7 was waterproof now you say its not? Make up your mind. I get that you want to try to sound smart, I get it, but water proof and water resistant are 2 different things and if it is as cheap to make electronics waterproof as you say, then they would all be waterproof and the water resistant designation wouldnt exist. Il help you out, do a search and type in "water proof vs water resistant". So anyways, im done so say whatever it is you feel you need to say and I will kindly not respond

Idk, I haven't been too thrilled with geekvape's marketing much lately. A reasonable person would see an item like this and say ok cool, it's water resistant. It's not the end of the world if it gets splashed and I wipe it off. Much like the demo video where they dropped it in a sink of water, picked it up and immediately dried it off. No, they market as 'waterproof' and we're all well aware of the massive amount of morons that believe everything they hear. Waiting for a bunch of crying and 'my mod died, this thing isn't waterproof at all (or anymore)'.

Much like their new tab pro. Make it look like a mod with the 90 degree rotating 510 and shape of the tester. Tell everyone it's good for testing coils and 'could' be used temporarily as a mod but said it's not meant to be a mod. Then they show like 900 posts of pics of people vaping on it like it's a mod. Comments to their social media posts only confirm it when they bitch 'wahh, it's not dual 18650, the battery life is gonna suck. I want my mod to last all day' - BECAUSE IT'S NOT A FUCKING MOD.

I say either shit or get off the pot, quit pimping things like a crappy late night as seen on tv bullshit. Or else reap what they've sown.

I get that you just want to be an ass and hate everything (i remember you form the G2 thread bragging about how you get free stuff by buying things and then complaining about it for a refund) i lad out exactly what the waterproof means it's an industry standard much like the nema 3R enclosures, still you can't put on at the bottom of a lake for a month. Just like "run flat" tires don't work forever. they work long enough to get it fixed. I appreciate you not responding, the forums are a much better place that way :)

The HotCig R150 was advertised as waterproof also. I have one and it's one of my favorite mods, I've splashed water on it but never fully submerged it. There are videos of it being submerged and firing just fine. There's even a hilarious VapnFagan review he did for it while taking a shower and the mod was soaking wet. The mod worked perfectly fine, the only issue was getting water in the atty. I wouldn't swim with it in my pocket, but it is nice to have a mod that can survive a quick dunk, rain etc.

This new Geekvape mod seems cool, nice to have a rugged mod around to take hunting, fishing etc.

I haven't decided if i want to bucket it or vape it in the hot tub and "accidentally" drop it

Lmfao, can just him jumping out of the hottub - that's NOT the drip tip! :p I think at this point I'd settle for a reliable well built mod. Hopefully it turns out to be one and not just a pos that's water proof/resistant. Not big on gimmicks and that's where many of them seem to be headed these days.

Just saw yet another advert from GV on this mod. Seems it's trying to take the crown from the voopoo drag for fastest firing mod. The drag is .025 seconds, the aegis is .015 seconds. Such horseshit having to wait so long. I want my mod reading my brainwaves and firing before I even hit the button! lmao.

Oh really? I saw your quote of the speed up top but for some reason was thinking the voopoo was faster at like .012 or something. Too many numbers in my head. It wasn't until I double checked after seeing GV's advert being the fastest mod, I thought that was the drag's claim not long ago.

Looks solid enough, just wish it was dual battery. My mom does fine on a single 18650 mod but she only vapes at like 12w. Just not a fan of the single batteries, 18650 or 26650. Single battery mech's look about right, double stacking them and it starts to look like a pimp stick so I haven't been in too big a rush for a mech tube. Same with the slice. The size is about right for a dual battery, must be all the internal leak protection stuff taking up room.

Looks like good stuff. They're marketing it on instagram pretty heavily so that's where I got the word on this device..I'm thinking dual battery and more power would've made this a no brainer..still interested though. I personally like the looks of the stock design..Kinda reminds me of a high quality power tool lol

captain isn't too good. I did a review of it. wouldn't recommend i have a list of 30mm friendly mods as well. the fuchai duo 3 handles 30mm attys. dual 18650 175 watts. also comes with a triple batteyr door which goes up to 255 watts. temp control sucks but it's solid in power mode and a good option that's pretty cheap for 30mm attys

Thanks for the tip! I know it means absolutely nothing in terms of vaping performance but I was thinking the other day that it would be nice to have a mod that had a color screen, lol. And the triple battery option is a big plus to me (so is utilizing 18650 batteries). Price is definitely right too. Btw, can you post the link to your 30mm Atty fitting mods list? Thanks @SirRichardRear

DJL did a review already. he ran it over and dunked it in water. it survived and still worked lol. I won't run mine over but i'll beat it up

I saw that posted here (and I follow him on YT) but I generally don't watch his videos unless it is something I am considering (I don't use single cell mods) as they are just too long/boring for me to endure.

Why must I browse these forums and watch YouTube? This is yet another mod going on my wish list. The perfect beat around mod. But alas, my limited space and budget does not permit me to have a djlsb'esque vape lair.
