What kind of cream do you mix with fruits or berries?

I'm going to be mixing fruits and berries with cream. Looking over the diy stores there are several different creams from several vendors. There's Bavarian, sweet, fresh, whipped, and many others.

To make it easier Im planning-
  • Strawberry n cream
  • Orange cream
  • Blueberries n cream
  • Peaches n cream
Do you use a standard cream flavor when doing these kinds of mixes? Or do some versions do better for certain fruits/berries?
If you have a great recipe for any of the above I'd appreciate if you could share with me. Thanks for any help.

-Orange cream
Orange cream tpa 5%
Bavarian cream tpa 5%

-Blueberries and cream
Blueberry candy tpa .5%
Blueberry extra tpa 7%
Sweet cream tpa 4%
Whipped cream tpa 3%

-peaches and cream
Juicy peach cap 7%
Marshmallow tpa 2%
Sweet cream cap 4%
Vanilla swirl tpa 4%

There are millions of strawberry and cream recipes. Prly the most sought after juice. Some are simple, some are complicated. I would search VU for some or ELR and find one that looks good to you. There is a unicorn milk clone on ELR that's very popular. Lots of flavors though.

I would say FA fresh cream is a must have. Goes good with a lot of things.

Forest fruit fa 5%
Fresh cream fa 3%

I'll stop here. Otherwise your orders going to get pretty big lol

I haven't tried any others, but I do like the FA Fresh Cream. But I think a sweeter cream is going to be in my next order, as well. Fresh cream gives a nice fullness to the mouth but is missing the sweetness I desire for fruits & creams. But do keep in mind that I'm VERY new to all this.

I like to use FA fresh and vienna for a lot of things but alternatives I use also are caps sweet cream and caps whipped cream depending on the mix . there are some others I have on hand usually but those pretty well wrap it up on cream for me

I dont like many strawberries. I do like FA as far as flavor but its not strong enough usually. others I use because you have to use some of them lol caps sweet strawberry usually for custards just because thats pretty standard but the caps strawberry taffy seems to work pretty good for custard to. for candy I sometimes use the inawera strawberry. just the regular one the concentrate or whatever. not a great flavor but I do use it some people I mix for really like it . I like the vaping zone SC strawberry sometimes to its not bad.

I do have FA royal orange already but haven't tried it yet. The only cream favors I got are CAP vanilla whipped and TFA sweet cream. I could probably experiment a little before making an order.
try like 3 or 4 % royal and some vanilla whipped just for starters. .... the royal has a creaminess built in already. I bet you will love it

Yeah I want to be able to make a good one I enjoy. I dunno if a ripe authentic strawberry would be best yet. I still have a long ways to go.
if you want fresh ripe clean stick with FA strawberry and FA fresh cream. i will be light but it will be what you are looking for. if you want thick sweet kinda fake mothers milk type strawberry and cream try a little different route

you should try your royal just single flavor first so you know what differences the other creams make in it. I could actually vape royal all alone and its got enough creaminess by itself then start messing around a little with it

What %s would you recommend? I have both of these but I haven't found the right mix. The Strawberry seems to have a hard time showing up.

For something really rich and custardy, which is great with a strong flavor like INW shisha strawberry, I use a combination of TFA DX Bavarian Cream, TFA Vanilla Swirl, and CAP Sweet Cream.

For something lighter, for a lighter, fresher vape, a combo of TFA Whipped Cream and CAP Sweet Cream is excellent. If I want it a little richer and creamier but not all the way to a custardy richness, I add a smidge of TFA Cheesecake Graham and LA Cream Cheese Icing -- both of the latter two are very strong; the cheesecake graham has a powerful acetyl pyrazine smell, but it wears off after it sits in the mix for a few days, and cream cheese icing is very strong and sweet, could be overpowering if you use too much -- something like .5%-1% of both, is very good, but doesn't overpower the mix.

All the creams I use are diketone-free... except maybe the LA cream cheese icing; not really sure about that one, but it takes such a small amount, I'm not concerned about it. Ditto that for INW shisha vanilla -- it's more a "pure vanilla" flavor than TFA vanilla swirl, not a custard flavor, just pure sweet vanilla.... but I'm not sure of its diketone status; I suspect it may have some, but it seems to take such a small amount for a rich flavor, not terribly exercised about it.

@voicenyerhed its just light, thats the way it is. for me a couple percent strawberry maybe 4 tops and no more than 1% fresh cream. recenty I did like 6% or 10% strawberry and something like 4 % fresh cream just for kicks to say I did.. I couldnt even vape it lol even after a month of steeping. gave me a headache from all the flavoring haha going the FA route its just going to be a light fresh easy going vape it will never be that pow in your face sticky sweet strawberry. if its not what your looking for id just start looking for other strawberry flavors.

@voicenyerhed -- if you do want a really smack-you-in-the-kisser strawberry flavor, I HIGHLY recommend Inawera Shisha Strawberry -- to me, it's really the only one that has an actual taste; all the others are just a nice aroma, but little if any taste.

I don't know how much flavoring you're accustomed to using, but if you think you might be able to stand a high-flavoring-percentage mix, check out my strawberry & cream recipe in my blog page -- it gives both the original 31% recipe, and a more recent version, around 27% or a smidge more. But even if you want to substantially reduce the percentages, check out the proportions; that particular mix of flavors is amazing. It's really more like very rich and decadent strawberry custard, and even the more recent mix requires very little steeping (the original required none, which was the point of the very high percentages).

I may be able to come back to a lighter flavoring after some time, but as I only quit smoking about 2 months ago I think it may be effecting how I am able to taste some of the flavors. The fresh cream FA seems to be perfect at 0.5-1%, I just can't seem to detect the Strawberry. Probably gonna order the Shisha Strawberry everyone keeps mentioning to see if that does it for me.

Length of time smoke-free does have a lot to do with it, but it varies wildly by individual, and even for individual flavors -- myself and @Slots have almost a total inability to taste a chocolate flavor in a vape, though Molinberry's, I can finally taste. But that reduction in flavoring percentages that I've done with my strawberry & cream, I didn't even START needing to reduce those flavors till I'd been smoke-free almost 2 yrs, and I still cannot taste vape flavors as keenly as most around here, hence my dependence on high percentages of flavoring. But I';m happy to report that my first taste-sense to start recuperating and do it rather quickly, is my sense of sweet -- I really don't need much if any sweetener anymore, and I'm more open to using other types of sweetener like EM ("cotton candy") -- less sweet than sucralose, but it has a different character of its own.

It takes however long it takes. But this is just one excellent reason for DIY -- you can keep customizing your vape to suit your changing tastes, ad infinitum!

Thanks for your input, really. You have never steered me wrong.:)

Yeah @wllmc is the man.

I'm still searching for a good candy like strawberry. I have CAP sweet strawberry and FLV strawberry on it's way.

So far I've tried...
Tpa strawberry
Tpa strawberry ripe
Purilium strawberry ripe
Lb strawberry
INW shisha strawberry
Fa strawberry

Out of those I would say tpa strawberry is the most candy like and Fa strawberry is the most authentic off the vine type. Shisha strawberry is another authentic one with a sweetness to it.

When doing strawberry, I usually do a blend of fa red touch strawberry, tpa (tfa) strawberry ripe, and cap sweet strawberry. I tend to go 50-50 on the fa and tpa, and then add a touch of the cap. E.g. if total is to be 9g, then I might do 4g fa, 4g tpa, 1g cap. I'll often add in a splash of watermelon or pear, a dash of raspberry or peach, or some other fruit.

Hard question for you guys, have you tried Liquid Barn-Cream? I want to try a recipe that calls for 1% FLV-Cream. They both have caution signs at BullCity but they are out of stock for the FLV cream. I'm assuming they are similar? Can I use the LB in place of the Flv? If so do I adjust or bump the LB cream up a little? The recipe calls for 12% total flavor with the Flavorah only supporting another brand.

I have not tried LB cream, but I have tried a few of their fruit flavors & wasn't happy with any of them due to a very pronounced chemical flavor in all of them.

The Capella Sweet Cream is absolutely authentic, and also diketone-free -- no "caution" label.

Okie-dokie, I really don't have many creams in my collection lol. I just got FA Fresh Cream though recently and remembered you said it was kinda light? That's probably what I should use?
I just ordered about thirty flavors with some other creams. If it don't turn out good enough I'll have to wait until I can get my hands on the FLV. I checked ecigexpress and they were out too.
I'm trying to make this-
Sweet Strawberry Cream by CheebaSteeba
  • FLV Cream @ 1%
  • LA Cream Cheese Icing @ 1%
  • FA Red Touch (Strawberry) @ 0.5%
  • INW Shisha Strawberry @ 2%
  • INW Shisha Vanilla @ 1%
  • TPA Strawberry Ripe @ 3%
  • TPA VanillaBean IceCream @ 3%

I recently got some Liquid Barn Vanilla Bean Ice Cream because I only taste pepper with the standard TFA version. However, this one also tastes like pepper, not as strong, but it's there. However, I've been using FW VBIC and it's pepper free and delicious, fyi.

I get an off floral element from FW's VBIC and VC. Their idea of vanilla is indeed very different from TFA's.

I think TFA VBIC is chronically over-used. Most recipes I see using it call for very high amounts. It's no wonder people taste pepper when they're using it at up to 10 %. I think it's far more concentrated than people assume. I've found it useful sub 3%, but I think HS French Vanilla Ice Cream rivals all of the above.

I agree it's used in high %s. I did try it at very low numbers but the taste never changed. Is that Hangsen you're referring to?

Weird. Tfa gives me a horrible pepper taste. Not even vapeable, but LB and CAP are fine.

And at the same time, all the strawberries taste muted. I've read that as we age our taste buds die off. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
