Drops per 10ml base, all FA, orange caps.
For heavy/light version use +/- 1 drop.
Percentage conversion: 1 drop = ~0.2%.

TOFENGO
7 Butterscotch
4 Chocolate
4 Cocoa
7 Walnut

REFORGO
5 Chocolate
5 Cocoa
5 Cookie
5 Walnut
2 Butterscotch

TANERGO
7 Tanger
3 Chocolate
3 Cocoa
2 Butterscotch
7 Cookie

Yes ... but you CAN try your approach with +5d Tanger, +1d Butterscotch and 30ml base. Result unknown. :vino:

The problem with the whole drops thing is I have different FA containers. Some with big tips and some with small. That's a big drop difference.

Sorry @joeyboy, I think more people have problem with percentages.
If you have problem with drops use percentage conversion: 1 drop = ~0.2%.

Since percentage and weight is the gold standard, I will have to disagree. Your logic evades me.

Maybe your recipes would get more action if there were more standardization. I have droppers where three drops are 0.1, using 10 mls as the reference, and others where it takes 6 drops to hit 0.1. You see the issue with your method?

Also, by using a scale I know each drop is not the same. It changes based on the angle of the bottle, how hard you squeeze, etc. I've used drops. That method isn't exact enough for delicate recipes.

Maybe it works for you but for the masses it isn't the standard. If it was you would see more using it.

Once you learn to use a scale, percentages, your recipes will improve.

That's a lot of hard learning ahead but I will certainly try to improve, thanks for the advice.

In the meantime, just multiply numbers with 0.2 and you'll get recipe in percentages. For example:

TOFENGO
1.4% Butterscotch
0.8% Chocolate
0.8% Cocoa
1.4% Walnut

Hope this helps.

It's not hard. It's easier once you start. But to do it properly you will need a scale or volume. It really standardizes your mixes tastes every time you make them.

If you buy FA from bull city flavors you will not get the orange caps and the droppers will be different. There goes your method.

Here are two videos. One shows volume with syringes and the other shows using a scale. Have fun. I've done both, the scale is easiest.

Well thank you very much, I'll start ASAP.
Standardization is a hard thing, but I'll give my best.

In the meantime, just multiply numbers with 0.2 and you'll get

precise recipe,

in percentages.

For example:

REFORGO
1% Chocolate
1% Cocoa
1% Cookie
1% Walnut
0.4% Butterscotch

Here's another one:

TANERGO
1.4% Tanger
0.6% Chocolate
0.6% Cocoa
0.4% Butterscotch
1.4% Cookie

Should be a snap for anybody who can muster the brute strength to accurately squeeze drops from those hard sided, orange capped, FA bottles. :)
