Plus, with some batteries, the thing screws in ALMOST far enough, but not QUITE, and the mod then wobbles just a little when standing on a table. One of these days, I'll grind 0.1 mm off the contact and fix it...

Ok, I finally remembered why I didn't pick up a copper vape squonk before now. It's this

Man I really hate having to unscrew this every time I change batteries.

But on the upside, I am really liking this baby. I guess if that is the worst I can come up with, I can prob learn to live with it.

It's easily the best flavor atty I've ever used.

BAM crew
The Cyclone or the Cyclone AFC? I got a Cyclone from @JuicyLucy , put one of the tricro coils in it and it was love at first puff ! For MTL squonking, it is one of the best. I also like the Chalice even though I haven't played with them since I got my first Nuppin ( DL atty). @The.Drifter said the Mulciber is close (comparable) in flavor and airflow to the Nuppin so I'll be getting one of them as soon as I can scrape together enough cash.

Both cyclones. I had one with fixed airflow but it was to tight for me.
This one here is perfect for me.

I've got a Mulciber clone ordered - with the general idea that if it's good, I'll get an authentic.
When a good atty authentic is relatively reasonable, I'll often just go for the real thing, but I'm not sure it'll be airy enough - and also damn, I went on a bit of a spree - and have like 3 mods on the way...eventually (they're all like pre-orders)
:crazy::facepalm:

I figure @The.Drifter knows Nuppins inside and out and if he thinks they're comparable, I might as well get one!

I really like the RDA but that bottom oring is the pits. Main reason why I don't use mine.

If you want, I'll sell you mine for $45 with a pack of fasttech special derringer drip tips.

Really need to thin my herd more.Went on a bit of a tear this last week buying stuff (3d printer, raspberry pi & new PC)

That is the only real concern I have about longevity, any other issue can be repaired, but if I were to somehow screw up the threads or even lose the battery cap...
On the other hand I have 8, don't think I'll ever lose or screw up that many of the battery covers.

Oddly enough, I love the Cyclone but the Cyclone AFC ....mehhh, not so much!
Yep, the problem with the AFC is that VA tried to keep the same look (height to width ratio). This means there's a lot of dead space at the top; a lot more volume to the chamber.

Right, the stock hole in the non-AFC cap is really tight. Easy & cheap to fix.

That explains the vape difference between the two. As for the "easy fix"......noooooo! They're perfect the way they are.

There was a time when I would have agreed with you. But even as a strictly MTl (and the 'l' is lower case for a reason) vaper, I've come to favor a bit more open draw, so the Cyclones I still have in use now have 1.6-1.7mm air holes.

I have this weird complex about drilling holes in good attys. I don't mind doing it to an inexpensive easily attainable item, but id rather sell something to someone that will use it 'as is' first.
That's where something like the afc version is perfect for me.

I was recently gifted a Maze v2. Anyone ever used it? For the heck of it I built it as a single coil (Z coil) and I think I like it this way. I'll probably give a standard dual coil build a try but also, but I'd seen so much talk about z coils being good that I figured I ought to try it out. Of course this build means I can't see when I'm squonking, but that's ok.

Currently using the ultem cap rather than the taller ss hat style cap.

For anybody that has used this RDA, just curious how you like to build it.

Im liking my V2...im just using simple ss316 coils @ .25 ohms and pushing 42.5 watts...great flavor and decent clouds...Im finding that keeping the coils close to the air holes seems to give off the best flavor IMO.

I havent tried the ultem cap but where would one find that for the maze v2?

I'll be honest, I'm not sure. The guy who sent it to me got it with the VT Inbox but likes tighter draws which is why he sent me the Maze. It looks like if you buy the atty on it's own it doesn't come with it, but if you get it with the Inbox it does, seems odd.

It was meh for me at best, I tossed it in the box of junk RDAs. The airflow openings are way too close to the cap walls, it requires really long legs on your coils in order to place them there. The Ultem top cap did provide better flavor for me than the flip top cap, I am just not a fan of bottom air RDAs for squonking.

Side holes anyways... ew
Lol
Thank you for pointing that out! I keep looking at the Berkshire boxes but I'm not sure which size to get. I have an idea of how to fit 2 batteries, a board and a squonk bottle, make a side/front (T-mods style) hole but I'm not sure if the G mini or the P size will be OK. The G size is taller so I think G mini is good. but the P size???
