Best Coil Ever???

So I am trying to find out what is the best coil ever made. Seems like %90 of Vaping comes down to what coil you use. I noticed all of the popular tanks use the same kind of coil.

Anyvape - Fury, Sega, Donner
Aspire - Atlantis, Triton
Eleaf -Melo 3, Ijust2
Freemax Starre - Pure, Pro
Sense - Herakles
Tobeco - Super Tank
Vaporesso -Target, Gemini

I know the Vapresso Ccell and Freemax ceramic coils are very popular. And it seems like everybody who vapes owns a Alantis or Triton tank.

What is your favorite brand of coil to use in these tanks??? (and what kind?, Ceramic, Clapton, Cotton)

Hey Sudhuki great question. But before we go further and your a new member, welcome to VU!

So the coils you mentioned are actually in category called Sub Ohm Tanks. Or Drop in coils clearomizers. Basically these are prebuilt coils by the manufacturer who make the tank to accompany their products. So when you say best coils.. there's actually a few categories within the Coils themselves.

RDA: Rebuildable dripping atomizer. These are what most folks think of when you say best coils. Why? Because it's hand made or could be. And customized to your atomizer needs.

Hand made? Yes. You can buy a spool of just pure wires of SS, nickel, Titanium, etc..

Then these wires can be hand wrapped into coils that covers the RDA. From simple round wires to extravagant and complex loops like Claptons

Simple round wires:IMG_2898.jpg

Claptons (Alien Clapton to be exact):IMG_2871.jpg

Now these coils are not only very hard to do but a work of art. So that's why veterans refer to these when they talk about "coils" or "best coils". Because these are pretty much hand made and you have to assemble them on the atomizer yourself. Afterwards fit your own cotton between the space in the coils and complete your setup.

So by understanding this difference, you see best coils premade? Or best coils handmade? Makes a very huge difference in the discussion.

Now back to your question. My favorite Premade Drop in coil for a sub ohm tank is probably X4 for the big baby beast sub ohm tank :)

Have fun exploring this forums. Lots of knowledge. Feel free to ask me or anyone. Everyone is very friendly.

Have a nice day!

First of all, welcome to VU! Glad to have you here.

This is a much debated, continually changing, and never settled discussion among vapers. As for premade coils, I have to say the Q4 coil for my TFV8 Cloud Beast is my far my favorite.

But, as @Vucci said, I am also a diy builder myself, and I have a very simple, but amazing 2x26g ka1 parallel dual coil ok my Lush that has amazing flavor and vapor production. I also have an awesome 3x28g/38g alien dual coil on my Combo Tank that is insane.

Bottom line is, the coil that gives you the most enjoyable vape experience is the best coil ever.

Enjoy experimenting. You never know what wonders you might find

Dude, be careful with the advice you give...

Obviously, @Sukuhdi doesn't know a thing about building yet. Were he to take your advice and go out and buy some titanium or nickel wire and make a pair of coils, he could quite possibly end up in the emergency room with chemical burns from a vented battery. Those wires are EXTREMELY low in resistance, and are meant for TC use ONLY.

Hmmm. I was breaking it down to him what he meant by best coils. Because he thinks it's only those Sub ohm pre made coils.

I was simply explaining what the other coils are and how they are made. From spools and handmade. And i try my best to be accurate and represent the various coils out there and what exactly do vapers do with those coils

Guess You rather have me write a half ass comment? Instead of really thoughtfully explain to him about coils other than premade?

I thought my post was opposite of what you say Johnny. It was very caring, picttures and details to RDA style coils. That no one would have write a comment like that for me if I was asking years ago as a newbie. Opening my eyes to different vapes.

Then why the fuck would you mention Ni200 and Ti? Not KA1 or N80? You are part of the problem, not part of the solution. I sincerely hope you don't work in a B&M vape shop.

"So the coils you mentioned are actually in category called Sub Ohm Tanks." - Vucci (lol)

Wow, everybody misunderstood my question. Im not asking whats your favorite wire to use to make you own coil.

I am talking about the pre-made coils for the tanks listed. ALL of these 32 Tanks use the Exact Same Coil. That means there are 32 Different Brands of Coils you can buy to use for any 1 of the tanks listed. And each Brand makes different kinds of coils for the same tank. (Ceramic, Clapton, Kanthal, .3ohm, .8ohm)

If you own a Aspire Alantis Tank you can use any coil made for any of the tanks listed below. You can have a Eleaf Melo tank with Freemax Clapton coil, or a Sense Herakles with a Vaporesso ceramic coil.

All the coils to these tanks are interchanagble:

Amigo Donner 22 - 4ml - Bottom Fill
Anyvape Fury Tank - 5ml - Top Fill
Anyvape SegaTank - 4.5ml - Top Fill
Anyvape Peakomizer 2.0 Mega Sub -
Aspire Atlantis Mega - 5ml - Bottom Fill
Aspire Atlantis V1 & V2 -
Aspire Triton V1 & V2 -
Beyond Vape Silo Beast - 5ml - Top Fill
EHPRO & Eciggity Morph Tank - 4.8ml
Eleaf iJust2 - 5.5ml - Bottom Fill
Eleaf Lemo 3
Eleaf Melo - 5ml - Bottom Fill
Eleaf Melo2 - 4.5ml - Side Fill (top)
Eleaf Melo 3
Eleaf Melo 3 Mini
Freemax Starre - 5ml - Bottom Fill
Freemax Starre Pro - 4ml - Top Fill
Gigue Aeolus Mini
Gigue Aeolus Tank
Ovancl Espole
Playboy Vixen
Science of Vaping Eclipse
Sense Herakles
Smokme Subverter Mini
Sunone Sking Square
Thunderhead Creations-Thunderstorm Tank
Tobeco Super Tank - 4.5ml - Top Fill
Tobeco Super Tank Mini - 4ml - Top Fill
Vapeston Maganus
Vapor DNA Project Sub Ohm Saucecode
Vaporesso Gemini
Vaporesso Target

Whats your favorite brand of Coil for any of the tanks listed.

Vaporesso, Eleaf, Freemax, Aspire, Sense, Tobeco, Anyvape.

( I should have known all the reply's would be from the DIY people who make their own coil. )

instead of a summary of the main points? U never done that before fucking Sherlock?

The problem is your stupid fucking brain can't tell the Fucking difference.

Oh shit! He forgot to mention Nickle Moon dust water 80. Man he's must be the problem!

"Your the problem! Not the solution!" HAHAHAHAHAHHA. Ok ok that was good man. You made me laugh. I needed that yo..Thanks for making my day.

With my Melo3 tank I really like the .3ohm Eleaf EC coils. I just ordered some .5ohm Vaporesso Ceramic coils to try next, they have a lot of good reviews.

I want to try the Tobeco Super Tank Clapton Coils to try next in my Melo3. Then the Freemax coils next.

Ohhhhh I just finally understand what you are trying to translate Sukuhdi. You want to know what is the best coils that's "Compatible" which each other in the list that you give.

See my friend! If you rephrase your title: What is the best coils that's compatible with each other but perform the best in my list? lol something like that.

Yes. I hope he did not complete the barb wire build.
Or any tc build on a mechanical without being properly informed instead of half assed.... like giving a child who cannot read a bottle of Tylenol liquid and saying here this will help you feel better....without any further instruction/aid..... half assed

How bout Mah? Milliamperes hour?? Im confused. Is less Mah more trust worthy?? Since 25r have less then VTC6

Oh yea. It's like giving Tylenol Liquid and say here this will make me feel better. I feel better Gummy. That you gave a complete answer to his question. He will now know that any website her buys batteries from that trusted brand and source. Since your so complete. He has no problem find the answer. See you actually try and gave him instructions. And fail miserable. Your so dumb ur answer wasn't even on that list.

And now you criticizing me for writing a introduction for new coils yet you Specificly gave him instructions but no address to buy it etc...

Fail boat party of one.

Clearly you have something you want to "prove" and get all bent out of shape because you clearly had a massive oversight. Your answer is a case of a little bit of knowledge being a dangerous thing, because you dont know enough, or inform enough.

Was my answer complete, yes. Would someone following my suggestion be in any danger given the context of the thread. Nope. I suggested he find a proper legit battery and a legit seller of said battery i did not suggest any particular website as there are a good amount. I never said he should get samsung 25R's i said it is what I use.. Nice try. Apples do not in fact equal Oranges.

Your hat is crooked.

Your attempt at a "flame war" has been thoroughly pissed on.

You DIY guys are killing me. Do all of you guys Always take over honest threads with your stupid DIY talk. Only the DIY guys hit the forums 3X a day. The rest of the vapers dont have time to argue about DIY coil builds all day. (just look at my thread) I cant image how many posts a guy like VUCCI has. The rest of the people dont waste our time building our own coils and making our own Juice, because the shit is Dirt Cheap! 1 coilX last at least 1 week with heavy vaping, that only cost me $1.25 - $2.00. Just seems like everybody who hits these forums constantly are the DIY guys.

I'm a diy guy myself, coils and juice both. I had allot of trouble being able to afford keeping myself in juice and coils? Not even close. So honestly, I started diy out of necessity and ended up loving it.

Not all diyers act like you perceive us and not all for the same reasons. I personally haven't used premade coils in well over a year now, but I do stand by the TFV8 Cloud Beast Q4 coil. Good flavor, vapor production, and doesn't guzzle juice like some might think with a coil of this size. I hope I was able to help a bit, and if you are ever curious about trying your hand at diy, there are many here that are more than happy to lend any advice you may need, including myself.

That said, remember, not all diyers are like what you have seen here. Many of us are just everyday people with a passion and a willingness to guide those interested in learning.

Also, if you wish an honest answer in the near future, I would have no problems with you messaging me and asking anything you need.

Seems like %90 of Vaping comes down to what coil you use.

Wrong: 90% of the performances you get out of any atomizer comes down to the wicking. The coil really doesn't matter all that much.

That's with builds you do yourself of course... :) With pre-built coils, well, I wouldn't know: I only used them for a short time when I started vaping because I didn'tknow no better. To me, pre-built coils make no sense because:

- They're 2 orders of magnitude more expensive than a self-made build

- They are environmentally awful: imagine how much metal and oil (mfg and shipping) went into one of these things that gets thrown away after a few days of use, when the only thing wrong with it is that it's dirty.

- When one particular model of tank is discontinued, the spares soon follow. That means you end up with a tank for which you can't buy pre-built coils no more.

- If you live in a country such as the one I currently live in, that suddenly pass laws that make it illegal to order vape stuff online, you end up SOL overnite wih all your tanks if you can't rebuild them.

$2 a week is 104 bucks a year. I spend less than $2 a year.... DIY isnt just about money though..... it is about quality control and satisfaction. There is not a single drop in coil or store bought juice that does nearly as well. Not to mention 30ml/day is not cheap either and i have many things i can spend money on rather than some way over makred up juice from a B&M that doesnt taste as good and gunks coils up fast.

sorry for the way this thread went :(

i't not easy for me to answer since I don't have any of the tanks you listed outside the starre pure. but the starre pure is a really good tank and vape in the 30-60 watt range. Also in that range the smok baby beast and big baby beast and the aspire clieto are a few of my favorites. hopefully this post is helpful for you

Not all of the DIY'ers but yeah, every factory coil thread will have five or six asshats that answer a question that was not asked,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and then argue with each other about the answer to the question that no one asked. And then it gets worse, they'll argue with you because you didn't ask the question that they wanted to to answer.

VU is a good resource. Just filter out the garbage.

And Smoking a Pack of Cigarettes a day costs $220 a Month in Cali. Now That I vape I send less than a 10th of that.
So ya Im ok with it .My new Vaporesso Ceramic Coils will each last a Month, and they cost me $2 each, so ya $2 a month on coils is fine by me. Even spending $6-$8 a Month on pre-built coils makes sense to me just to save time.
I rarely eat out, and I never eat fast food, I dont drink soda, or eat chocolate. I bet most of you spend more than $10-$40 a month on Starbucks, soda, or candy. You will spend $10-$15 on a single meal because you dont want to take the time to cook it yourself. And yet you complain about spending $4-$8 a month on something you do 20X a day?

Thank you for your replys, I had no idea what an X4 was because the Smok tanks were not on the list i posted because their Smok Tanks have specific coils only. If theirs only 1 kind of coil for a specific tank no point to ask. But they have 32+ Brands that all work together!

I was wondering about the other 32 Tanks....
Herkales, Melo, Alantis,Triton, SuperTank, Arctic V8, Vaporesso Target, Freemax Starre

Everyone probably has there favorite Atlantis style coil For me it's the Aspire EVO Clapton's. I have them in 4 different tanks and highly recommend them. Large wick holes and very good flavor with a nice cloud.

Hi Sukuhdi. No, wasn't that they didn't read your question properly, they didn't bother to pay attention to the actual forum section you asked it in! Instead it became a "look how much i know" ego race. Hilarious! Bit like asking which is your favourite brand fishing lure and they all start cat scratching over which wood is best to build one from. What a crack up.:giggle:

I think there is an element among the DIYers that are hoity toity and look down on premade coil users and hijack convos about premades to push their agenda (to what end, I'm not sure).

To me, it's all about personal preference. Most DIYers here spend a bunch of money on their stuff too. It's not "necessary" to spend much on DIY, but in practice it's fun to get all sorts of new and diverse materials to DIY with.

I agree that buying premades really isn't that expensive (it can be, but if you aren't picky about your coils it is cheap). You could get away with vaping on the cheap with premades: Starter kit + battery(ies) + bulk premade coil purchase + bulk high nic juice = about $70 total upfront and about $70 annually on coils and juice.

Again it isnt about the $$. Its principle behind it as well as quality. Apparently everybody is a Coffee slurping soda drinking candy fiend. Ill check the box for none of the above. Water... water.... more water. Fast food is rare in my household due to lack of healthy options. Congrats on finding satisfaction in what you do and cost savings compared to smoking. How is that new tax treating your current costs?? :D just wait, they are just at the tip of the iceberg. If the FDA and BP BT have their way it will be more expensive than smoking to continue using premade juice and coils.

What is newly being taxed? Pre made juice online is super cheap. Are juice and coils subject to hidden taxes?

Hmm. I've seen that some people stock up on nicotine solution. Might not be the worst idea to do that. Think they'd ever regulate the sale and purchase of PG and VG?

PG/VG are used in many other industries. Stocking up on NIc, even if you dont DIY right now, is not the worst idea one could have.

Thank you, I swear all the DIY people freaked out when I brought it up. The DIY people should have their own forum that way they dont hi-jack every thread we make
