Liking this lineup a lot, I can't seem to put the Peerless down. :)

Priced at $14.48, I wonder if this might be the lowest cost option for a squonker?

Ah, jumping on the see-through bandwagon

As far as I can tell, definitely the cheapest squonker I know of - they are kinda fun.

The bottles blow and the contacts will rip the battery wraps if you are not super dooper careful

Been contemplating taking a file and rounding off the contacts because a cheap squonker is not worth ruining your batteries

I hadn't seen the translucent one yet, I may just go ahead and get one after all. Just for shits and giggles.

Is that black one in the middle a Kanger 160?

If so, I think it is kick-ass that you are showing that you don't have to spend the equivalent of a car payment to enjoy the best of squonking :)

The one in the middle looks like it might be a Geekvape.

The black one in the middle is a Geek vapes version of a dual battery similar to the Dripbox 160 :)

While there is indeed a small fortune pictured above, it's only reflective to a small portion of my collection. I actually own mods from most of the vaping spectrum ranging from pod mods to tube mechs to custom stab wood squonkers to 300w quad battery cloud chucking powerhouses and just about everything in between thru out the price spectrum.

I actually do have the Dripbox 160 as well as the original Dripbox and a couple pico squeezes to boot. I agree you don't have to spend a fortune to enjoy a great vape. When I was smoking I personally went thru 2 and a 1/2 cartons of Marlboro reds a week, my wife smoked thru a carton of Marlboro lights herself a week, so I spent on roughly 12 carton a month. Basically over $500 a month up in smoke with nothing but a cough and shortness of breath to show for it. I've been smoke free over 4 years now and that's all thanks to vaping. The way I see it I can actually afford to buy one high end mod a month with the money I just burned away smoking. Now I don't do that every month, but I have rewarded myself several times over the 4 years I've been amassing gear ;)

I'm glad you are showing all sides of it - I often get ribbed for using cheap mods and topping them with higher end atties, lol

That a Amber Ultem DNA 75 mod made by TurboCad at ECF. There's a active list and you can just pm him to get on it. I'm diggin it, it's super lightweight but tough as hell, he has videos of him throwing it around on concrete and actually ran over one with his car. It's amazing material :) If you go back a page or two I have some other pictures posted of it that shows it off a little better.

Got my first FrankenKlone from FT. Not too bad, but it needs help...A Lot! I need to get better bottles for it, so please let me know which ones, I think the square ones, if they fit, would be better since there is a little play now. I think I'm heading to FDV for a better 510 and Rio Grande Jewelry for a piece of spring silver. I have some sterling at home, if I could find it after the move. I also want to make a different strike plate/negative battery contact to increase the contact surface area.

Sorry, my bad. Glacial acetic acid is 99.95 pure acetic acid (pure vinegar, store bought is about 5% acetic acid)

I'm still clueless since I've never used that either. Only way to know for sure is to experiment. If you don't like the patina that develops you can use catsup to remove most of the patina then scotch bright it back to its original brushed finish.

@BrewBear ... this from a post I made on another forum, it removes the surface lead from free machining brass, leaving a patina surface finish (of sorts)

"Notice I qualified that with "untreated" ... if you soak your free machining brass {whatever} in a mixture of acetic acid and hydrogen peroxide, the surface lead is removed. So ... soak your brass {whatever} in a mixture of 2 parts white vinegar (5% acetic acid) and 1 part of hydrogen peroxide (3% active ingredient) for a period of 10 minutes or more ..."

@GT_1955 and @The.Drifter thank you both very much. Now, I will use baking soda to stop the reaction once I get the finish/colors I like ( being very optimistic here) but what do you use to seal and preserve that patina?

The acetic acid/hydrogen peroxide mix doesn't leave any colour behind, it's just a (very) dull brass. As I was most interested in removing any lead internally that may have been on the surface and don't actually like the look of patina, I polished the outside to bright brass again :)

Also, to stop any reaction I just washed in warm water.

a 3x2mm o-ring over the original Frankenskull tubing fits the VT Inbox bottles perfectly.

If I had the $$$, but I don't, so I won't... That is a sweet looking mod with a matching drip tip for the nuppin.

Diff between V1 and V2 is the "bottom plate" - on the original cap restd on bottom plate. So you'll see a sliver of stainless, even if using a black or brass cap. On the V2, it slides "over" - and in theory you can lower the cap a touch more - below the bottom of the deck...
All else is identical - I swap caps and AFC's between V1 and V2 all the time...

Thanks!
