Full Disclosure:

Let’s get all the disclosures out of the way. These coils was sent to me directly from Hawk Coils specifically for the purposes of this review. This will not in any way, shape, or form cause me to give these coils a favorable review or change my opinion in any way.

Hawk Coil 8 In 1:

Hawk Coils sent me a bunch of coils. I’m pretty sure it’s their whole line. Let's start off with the 8 in 1 package they sent. Basically you get a round container that looks a one of those weekly pill containers seniors use. There are 8 compartments with six different coils in each compartment. Each coil is 3 mm in diameter. They range from .3 ohms all the way up to .8 ohms. All the coils are high quality and the wire itself is clean to the naked eye. The coils are listed as follows:

.5 ohm Hive

.45 ohm Tank Track

.3 ohm Fused Clapton

.45 ohm Tiger

.8 ohm Clapton

.3 ohm Ribbon Twist

.45 Ohm Mixed Twisted

.35 ohm Quad

I have tried them all and they all vape very, very well. My favorite out of the eight are the Tank Track and the Fused clapton. My least favorite one is the Mixed Twisted. I’m not saying the Mixed Twisted is bad at all I am just saying that I like other coils better. All of the eight coils give great flavor with really nice cloud production. Now, I have had coils similar to this with similar packaging from Fastech. These coils seem to be of higher quality and vape much better.

Hawk Coil Kit:

Next up is the Hawk Coil Kit. this is their premium set of coils. You get 4 coils in 4 glass bottles with a cork. The presentation is very elegant. The coils that are included are:

.3 ohm Stapled Clapton

.25 ohm Helix Stapled Coil with a 4 ply ribbon & 28g Twist

.5 ohm Snowgrip 316 SS Clapton

.6 ohm Square Coil Ni80

I have run every one of these coils for about a week now and I am impressed. Every one of them is absolutely fantastic. All of the coils are 3 mm in diameter. I love the .3 ohm stapled clapton and the Snowgrip. The flavor I get off of them is just next level as far as I am concerned. I put the .3 ohm Clapton in my Geekvape Ammit and the flavor just really pops. I am actually saddened that Hawk only sent 8 coils for these two. The Ni80 has super quick ramp up and runs extremely well in my Aromamizer Supreme. The Helix staple is a monster coil that I am running in my Cigpet Eco 12 Tank in the RBA head. While all of them give fantastic flavor and cloudage the Snowgrip and the Stapled Clapton are special. The coils that they include in this kit are just great all around.

Individual Hawk Coils:

.3 ohm Alien:

Out of the individually wrapped coils they sent me I tried the .3 ohm Alien first. As with all of the individual coils 10 come in a package. These Aliens are really pretty nice. All of them seem to be made of clean wire. They have 5 wraps and are 3 mm in diameter. I ran these in my Cigpet Eco RDA and the flavor was really good. I normally don’t vape with kanthal wire but for these I will make an exception. They are that good.

Kanthal Juggernaut:
e5cb41e776b42e5a048c7e0485f431b5.jpg

This is a massive coil so it only needs 4 wraps. This coil is heavy duty with plenty of surface area that will insure great flavor. The leads are pretty big so you'll need an atomizer with pretty big post holes. I decided to put this one in my Twisted Messes Cubed TM3 and am I glad I did. I always got great flavor out of this RDA but never like this. The vape is dense, thick and lush with flavor for days.

Staggered Staple Coil:
3449440c48d441626c4ad44b51833c2c.jpg

This coil ohms out at .2 ohms. It’s a pretty chunky looking coil with 4 wraps. I put this one in my Merlin Mini and I have to say that this is just an excellent coil. The flavor is really good and even though I am running a single coil the cloudage is indeed impressive. When I am done with this coil I am going use the Merlin Mini dual coil deck next and really chuck the clouds.

SS Fused Clapton:
2336a05b8f18ff502fdb691dbc510db9.jpg

As most of you know I am a TC guy. So this is just my kind of coil. I ran this one in my Skywalker RDA by UD. the Skywalker has quickly become one of my favorite RDA’s and this coil made it that much better. I love this setup. The flavor I get is just glorious and the clouds, oh the clouds. Definitely a great vape.

Conclusion:

Hawk Coils are by far the best mass produced premade coils I have used so far. They are just really nice quality. You can color me impressed. These coils are DeucesJack approve for sure.

The coils sound good. Not wanting to be that guy, but I'd be happy to pitch in to get you a macro lens...

Lol, I know my camera sucks. I'm working on getting one. I'm trying to get everything together to launch a youtube channel. It's coming along but I don't have that yet.

Awesome review.
But I have to ask you to keep using them and give us further feedback. I'm weary of buying coils from China due to the quality of wire used.

Sent from somewhere in Vietnam.

I'll be honest, I dry burned and rewicked a few times and they're good. No funny taste and they come clean with every dry burn. So far so good. Not sure what the big knock on Chinese wire is since I am pretty sure most of the factory coil heads use the same exact wire.

Hey bud, do you know if you can buy them directly from the sit? Maybe it's just my phone not liking their site but I can't seem to figure out how to order them.

Right now efun has some of them. They're still looking for distribution in the USA. They will also be available on Amazon in a couple of weeks.

Good Point! I love the freeby coils I get with my new rta's. And never once did I think they were bad because they were made in China.
I guess its time to purge that knowledge nugget imparted on me by a b&m.

Yeah, a lot of that shit started at B&M's with their coil builders. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying these guys that build custom coils don't do a fantastic job. I have nothing but respect for them because they do something I just can't do. That being said, a lot of those types spread that shit around about Chinese wire to justify the price difference. I'd rather them just say hey this is a custom thing I do by hand I need to get fairly compensated. They don't have to knock other wire IMO.
