Yes, Bottom Airflow Sucks! I AGREE 100%. I love my 2 Avacado 24's
What is your gripes with the bottom airflow version? I actually just picked one up today...randomly by chance....my buddy is a youtube reviewer, and he had 3x of them, so he gave me one today as a late xmas gift, as he knew the original Avocado is my absolute personal favorite tank of all time (22mm original)...I haven't put a build in it yet, but I will as soon as I get home. I am quite anxious to try it out. I will put the same build that I have in my original Avocado in this new bottom airflow guy, and I will compare flavor and vapor between the 2x atty and give a full report back in this thread. I will try and post some first impressions later tonight, and then again in a week or so, after I've tried a few different builds in it, and tested both dual and single coil setups, and all the various airflow options as well =] Cheers guys! (and gals!)

I don't know why there a.re gripes...I've just never seen anyone love it like the 22 or 24. I assume one gripe could be leaking chance is higher....and the air flow makes it taller....

With the drip tip I use on my original, and the stock tip on the bottom airflow 24, They are almost identical in height, so that won't be an issue for me. I do like me a short stubby little fellow though, one of the reasons I was drawn to these tanks in the first place, heh. But yeah, I won't be home for HOURS, and I am so anxious to throw a darn build in this new toy! I knew I should have left the house this morning with my damn buildes kit! UGH! lol..but yeah guys, you will get a full review and some first impressions here in the near future, don't worry!

So, as promised , here is my post on the bottom airflow Avocado 24, which I just built and am vaping for the first time .

Ihv7I7.jpg

HiDjpo.jpg

So here is my new Avocado 24 bottom airflow, all built with my usual setup, and one of my absolute favorite juices, Grimm Green signature line, VLOG Day...COIL IS a 2x parallel Clapton build...6 wraps of a 2x 26g /36g kanthal , paralleled with 5 wraps of 26g /36g Ni80. 0.30 ohms . Vaping it @66.6 (well...cuz METAL! ) Lately, This has been my go to single coil setup. I have the wicks hanging about 2 mm below the build deck, so they are just visible through the tank. I of course have the chamber reducing ceramic block installed on top of the silicone plug. Dual airflow setting , about half open.

A few first impressions are that the airflow is super smooth . Much smoother than both previous versions, and smooth with any airflow setting. The AF ring moves super easily , and didn't need any lube , and stays in place once set. The o ring tolerances are OK, I could go fir a little more of a tight tolerance on the rings that hold on the top cap. The drip tip tolerance with the plastic cuff is just perfect though. Smug as as bug, but removable without stress, just as it should be. The entire top cap can be removed by grabbing the drip tip. Haven't used the 510 adapter yet, will report on that later . Lastly, no leaking whatsoever so far, and have had it sitting on my chest on its side as iI am laying down in bed watching tv, typing this up on my tablet .

This thing has been nothing short of stellar so far in the half tank I have Vaped. So my first impression is two thumbs up! It was a cinch to install, and I like the deck size . It is a tad larger than the original avocado 24, with a few mm more distance between the 2 posts. I have the juice flow / wick hinge thingy wide open, and do not plan on adjusting this . Maybe ill toy with it in the future and report my findings , but it seems pointless in single coil mode at least . I can see how is lot is needed fir filling in dual coil mode, but I almost solely use my avocados in team single coil ;)

Now as far as flavor goes, which its am sure everyone wants to hear about , it it's top notch. I think it's a minor improvement over the original 24mm, similar to that of the 22mm, maybe even better than the 22. I have my coil sitting just barely above the bottom airflow slot, with the entire air hole covered by the center of the coil . The airflow from the back via the ceramic block is passing directly over the top of the coil, hitting the top 50% of the coil surface area. I will test different coil mounting placements, and see which gives the best flavor, but given my building experience wit other bottom airflow rebuildables, I have a feeling this is going to be the optimal placement. Regardless, I will the l try it higher up, which will give more air coming from the back, via the block.

I will vape on this bad boy solely pretty much over the next weel or so, as my all day banger and report back to you guys on my thoughts for it then. But so far, after an hour of use with my first build, I am thoroughly enjoying it. Whoever said this thing isn't good is doing it wrong, because it it's great.

Well, thats all for now, all done with my edits, which was just to add this, and upload the pic of my build. Sorry they are a tad blurry, my tablet camera is trash, and my good canera is packed in a box (moving in a few days) ok guys, Cheers!

I've been on the fence on the newest version of the Avocado for a minute now - just looked to be over complicating something that gained a lot through its simplicity, to me.

But! I'm a fool, and a fool and his money are soon parted. And the holidays are over, now, so the hold-off on buying vape gear has been lifted. I don't need it, I don't require it, and I haven't (up til this point, really) even wanted one - so rest assured it'll be in the next big order round.

Thanks for taking a few minutes to review it and give us your take on it. Appreciated!

My Gripe is simple. I love the Avacado as is and did not see any reason to change it. The bottom airflow makes it no better than a normal RTA in my opinion. With side airflow it is just like a RDA with a really nice drip well :). Not saying some won't prefer the bottom airflow, I just see it as a gimmick to have a new version to try and make more money. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I am just against gimmicks. LOL

Anyway, to each their own. Some may like the bottom airflow better, I will stick with my V1 Avacados as I love them and see no need to try the newer version. I just hope they continue to make both versions so everyone still has the choice. :)

Happy Vaping!

Ok guys , after some more thorough vaping and trying 3x different builds and 3 of my favorite juices, I have to say the flavor on the bottom airflow is definitely superior to both previous versions of the avocado. Chainvapor l agree with you 100%, and I saw it as a gimmick too at first, and that is why I didn't buy it, but since this atty was a gift, I had no excuse but to enjoy it! And now that I have enjoyed it, I will say with certainty that in endorse it, it is not a gimmick by any means, and if I did not own one, I would buy it, hands down, the flavor notes I get off this guy surpass many of my drippers, and I get flavor notes out of my juices that any other tank I own does not give. I put the same juice , same build in all 3 avocados, and the bottom airflow gave the best flavor by far . So guys, give it a shot!

For whatever reason I CANNOT like my avocado 24. I always pull it back out and try to make it work for me but I never can. What are the tips for making this thing shine?

Heh, nice setup on the noisy cricket ! I just got the noisy cricket 2, and have been loving my avocados on it...if you guys don't have the cricket 2, go get one,,,it's only 25 bucks and you can adjust your vape more than any other mod I have used! Hot intense vape? Check. Cool, mellow vape ? Check. Huge dense clouds ? Check . Great battery life ? Check. Just go get one lol.

P.s. bottom airflow 24 is still rocking great . I've put about 6 builds through it and 10+ juices . Each one tasted better than most of my rda give....still a huge fan!

P.s.s. my 22mm frosted glass just broke last night ! wahhhhh I'm so mad! Luckily I found the original clear glass tank in the box and was able to hook it up and vape without having to rebuild, but I ended up rebuilding anyways and tried a 2x twisted clapton for the first time. Used some premade Geekvape clapton wire all spooled up and twisted 2x strands and wow wow wow this is a great vape . It's 26/36 KA1 , twisted tight but not super tight around a 2.5mm, 6 wraps , 0.5 ohms @60w. Perfect.

I love my old school 22mm avocado. Right now I am using a single coil alien wire build with a 2.5mm ID. Good flavor and a bit more conservative on juice consumption

I find myself going back to my avocado 24 rdta just for the lack of dry hits. 1st rdta I bought but if I'm honest I wasn't overly impressed with the flavour. Chucks clouds like but I think the flavour could be crisper. It has sparked me onto the path of the "perfect RDTA" if such a thing exists yet, so time not wasted. Easy deck to build on even for some complex builds. I believe the bottom airflow variant is supposed to have better flavour but I'm not parting with money for something that could be a subjective opinion.
