"Weak Battery" but it's fully charged?

So I've been using my new eLeaf iStick pico for a few days now and, so far, I love it. It works great. I have two separate 18650s that I charge in an external charger and drop into the mod.

As of last night, I've noticed that, even when the batteries are fully charged, the mod will give a weak battery warning when firing. I also noticed that the vapor production seems fairly less significant than what it was when I first started using the mod.

I have been using .1 ohm Ni200 coils for TC. When the device is in TC mode, it just goes to 75 watts, the max. But with the weak battery, it just adjusts down.

According to bypass mode on the mod, the battery voltage is 4.09 volts. This specific battery is 3200 mAh and 40 amps.

And both this battery and my other battery (2500 mAh, 35 amps) have this issue.

What's going on here? How can I get that full power back?

The battery you have is not 3200 Mah and 40 amps, they do not exist in 18650's. It's an overrated battery, most likely 10 to 15 amps.

As far as the problems with the Pico, try it with a non-tc coil set up. If it vapes and show no problem with the battery, then it's the TC programming, if you still have problems, then it might be the mod. Some mods claim to go to 75 watts or 100 watts on a single cell, but in reality they don't get to that power level.

Try using a dripper or Tank that needs a lot of watts like a TfV4. If you see the same problem with weak battery, then it's the mods electronics that are the issue.

Perhaps some others with the Pico can chime in about this issue.

Well it seems I may have jumped the gun on this post a little? Apparently it decided to go back to normal. Very strange. Just a fluke?

I wonder if any other pico users have had a similar experience?

I had some wonky issues with my first pico. Not the same as your issue. I updated the firmware and it seems to have done wonders for it. Have you updated the firmware? Not that it will fix anything, but always worth a try.

You need a reputable (actual) 20 amp capable battery for anything close to 75 watts.

I want some of those 40A 3200Mah batteries man. What brand are those? Are those "Faceonfire" or "Housefire" ?

The usual issue is that you have your wattage too high. If your battery is 3.7 volts and you are using 5 then the battery will ware out and possibly explode.

Baikal me writing low battery and week battery and tried what you say again bore the same things
What batteries are you using? 75W is a lot to ask from a single 18650 mod, especially if you are using 20A batteries.

Are you trying to run in TC mode, or power mode? A little more info and we will be able to help :)

Yeah you just save me from blowing my face off. I turned my wattage down and it no longer says weak battery when I fire. Thanks pal.

Don't worry- boosting voltage will not result in your battery exploding. It isn't as efficient as bucking (stepping down) voltage, but it isn't dangerous. You aren't actually pulling 5 volts from your battery, only it's actual voltage, the boosting is done by the board.

What batteries are you using? That is a likely reason for a weak battery message that goes away when you turn wattage down.

I have the modefined prism, it does the same thing. First thought I had was that the batteries are over 4.2v. I threw them in my smok 320. After four or five hits I threw them back in the modefined prism and they are working fine.

To prevent this don't let your batteries sit on the charger. Charge to full then set them aside, by the time your batteries are drained the fully charged ones would have settled in near 4.2v.

I have this G-Priv 1.8 which says weak battery as well. It won't turn up anymore than 85 at tops. I have a Tfv12 prince on top of my mod, which should be able to handle at least 120 watts, butt It just won't... Any suggestions?

This just happened to me as well, maybe some others like me are a little bit of juice leakers, while I just unscrewed my dripper and wiped the juice off the screw bit and out of the screw hole lol I have no idea what those parts are called. Someone educate me! Bahaha. It worked tho! No more weak battery, when fully charged.
