I'm on the butrans patch for managing the pain from my CRPS but I don't have the constipation issues most get with opiates. I take Percocet for breakthrough pain too and I'm on Clonidine and gabapentin and elavil and zanaflex.I'm a suboxone patient, which is an opiate. Taking opiates every day leads to you shitting out ten pound baseballs, so that would be difficult. Loperamide AKA Immodium, an anti-diarrhea medication, is an opiate, it just doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier. Opiates suck the water out of your bowel, leading to ten pound baseballs coming out of your ass.
It takes a lot of various medications to keep me going. Especially since I have a 2 year old son to look after.
