I'm a suboxone patient, which is an opiate. Taking opiates every day leads to you shitting out ten pound baseballs, so that would be difficult. Loperamide AKA Immodium, an anti-diarrhea medication, is an opiate, it just doesn't cross the blood-brain barrier. Opiates suck the water out of your bowel, leading to ten pound baseballs coming out of your ass.
I'm on the butrans patch for managing the pain from my CRPS but I don't have the constipation issues most get with opiates. I take Percocet for breakthrough pain too and I'm on Clonidine and gabapentin and elavil and zanaflex.

It takes a lot of various medications to keep me going. Especially since I have a 2 year old son to look after.

Why take Percocet when you're on Buprenorphine..? Bupe blocks all opiates, now I know the pain relieving effects are still there, bupe blocks about 60% of their pain relieving effect. That's odd.

Even if the Naloxone isnt active the binding strength of the bupe keeps everything out..

I don't think Butrans has any Naloxone in it, but Bupe is so strong Naloxone can't even rip it off the receptors and the bioavailability of Naloxone in a sublingual admission is virtually 0%. It's solely there to stop people from shooting it, as it's IV BOA is way higher, though as I said bupe is so strong Naloxone can't even rip it off. But bupe doesn't block the pain relieving properties entirely, just the 'fun' parts. Though the pain relieving properties aren't strong enough with bupe to be worth it, that's a BAD combo, that doctor is fucking clueless.

It started a long time ago when the Turks invaded. It's all their fault.

Yes it fucking is. PREACH brother.

Maybe not in Butrans but I get the Strips with 2mg of Nalaxone which is just so it could pass and be prescribed, it literally does nothing against the bupe, even when using it outside its intended use. Most of the time your prescribed Tramadol or something that isnt a opiate for pain with bupe so they work together

Mine also have 2mg each and I'm on four a day, but as I said, even when Naloxone is active bupe binds to receptors SO powerfully almost nothing, including Narcan (Naloxone) can rip it off.

My dad wanted me to lend him $5,000 for bond. I let him rot.

The formulation of the butrans doesn't block like suboxone does. Sure they don't work as well but it still helps. I'll never be "pain free" it's all about making it tolerable.

Buprenorphine is buprenorphine.. there's no reformulation of it. Buprenorphine clogs all opiate receptors of the brain.

It's about the dosages. The dosage of the transdermal patch is lower than what is used for addiction treatment.

Lower dosage equates to less blocking.
