This is kinda delving into deeper DIY terrority, but just curious if there are any guides/lessons out there about getting that rich tobacco barrel steeped flavor?

Where do you even get those barrels for small batches..

Those barrels are the same as wine barrels. You can get some really small ones. I know Yeti Vape sells some of their juices aged in barrels.

Personally, I don't even know what that means --"that rich tobacco barrel steeped flavor". And I have to say I'm a bit skeptical about it it, but since I know nothing about the process, and completely withholding judgement. There are, however, lots of ways to get a deep, rich flavor from e-liquid that don't involve barrel-aging!

As for "deeper DIY", there is a whole sub-reddit I think devoted to this topic where you might get some answers.

Home beer & wine making supply shops is one source. I hope your idea of a "small batch" is not that small...:D

Barrels are NOT cheap. You may wish to instead consider getting barrel chips or cubes and soaking your ejuice with those.

I looked into it last year and you could buy a small oak barrel (a liter) for under 50 bucks. The huge ones are like $250 plus.

Those barrels are probably raw oak which may or may not be the flavor profile desired. There could be many possible flavor profiles depending on the barrel used. Then there's the barrel clean up..:)

My barrel experience is from chips, cubes and full barrels with beer & mead. While I have left over chips & cubes I could make a pg/vg extraction with, I've been satisfied just grabbing my bottle of FA Oakwood.;)

There was a fella over at EFC who did the small barrel thing a year or so ago and there's a thread or two there.

Wonder if adding FA Oak Wood might imitate this effect somewhat?

A couple of years ago I tried it when making a Barrel Aged Hard Apple Cider juice...

3.6% INW Two Apples
2% INW Caramel
1% FA Brandy
.7% FA Oakwood

The mix came out ~okay~, but I seem to more enjoy apple cider juice without the oak & brandy.

At the .7% level to me the Oakwood was noticeable but did not overpower the other flavors. It had, to me, a raw wood flavor that was yet a bit smokey and earthy. If one is seeking a (used) bourbon barrel flavor, FA Oakwood is not it.

While I am in no hurry to do so, I will probably try the Oakwood with some TPA Kentucky Bourbon or in a tobacco mix in the future.

Just my 2 cents..
