I'm looking for a simple 555 recipe, preferably with FA and/or TFA.
Thanks in advance.

I make a couple I think you will like. The first is Red 555:

American Red Tobacco 10%
555DK 10%

Steep 48hrs Very good with no raw edges.

This one can be made with 555 or Capt. Black (WL). I prefer the Capt. Black.

Capt. Black (WL) or 555DK (WL) 20%
Black Cherry (MTB) 10%

Steep = 48 hrs. Really good.
Let us know how you like those.

Eric

Hello people! :):D:)
Incoming from FlavourArt :
Papaya, Lemon Sicily, Honey …

This is the background story -

Loong time ago,on one of the Canary islands,we
where served a delicious treat, fresh&ripe papaya
cut in cubes, sprinkeled with local honey and lemon!
Now THAT was good tasting&smelling,indeed… Ahhh,the memory…

So,how to re-create that experience?
( Not too much honey,i guess? )

By the way - new here, and new to mixing too!

Cheers,T

First, welcome to VU. Second, welcome to DIY, you'll love making juice. Third, definitely not too much honey. I'd say test each one separate in a small batch, then try to mix them. I'd put the papaya as the lead, with lemon second and just traces of honey. A lot of people have had bad experiences with that flavor, so be careful.

I'm looking to recreate the strawberry peach freeze recipe from juicemafia, any help would be appreciated.
Are you going to purchase the flavors based on a recipe, or do you already have some in your arsenal? Off the top of my head, here's what I'd say.

2-5% Strawberry
2-5% Peach
3% Sweet Cream
1% Koolada
1% Ethyl Maltol

Just what i was thinking also...
Papaya from FA - strong and distinctive flavour?
Takes a week + to get my aromas - sigh, the wait, the wait...

and when it fades?

at low percentages, you do not get menthol or mint.. just the cool.
That's very interesting. I was unaware! I love the cool feeling, but only have a little bit of Koolada. I have plenty of menthol. I guess I should start experimenting more!

Honey-lemon papaya sounds good!
First get plain Papaya to your liking; try 2-3% first.
The percent on Lemon Sicily is really flexible; 'sprinkle' of flavor is probably around 1%, but you could add lots more without messing up papaya.
FA Honey is a very strong flavor. I suggest you make a little bottle of 10% honey and use it as your flavoring bottle. Start with just one drop of that per 3-5ml of finished juice. It is perfect honey flavor, but if you mix straight from the original bottle, it's easy to go waaay too high.

I haven't used any of those flavors, so you'll have to either know your flavors, or try them yourself. I'm just trying to help you in the right direction.

Hey all! I would greatly appreciate any help you can offer in my effort to recreate VapeRite's Smaug's Hoard. The description says it's Pomegranate and Dragon Fruit. I did a little searching and came upon some old reviews (there are currently none on their site for this juice - perhaps someone got too close to the actual mix and they deleted them all, lol) where one of the juice enthusiasts said it has a pineapple base. I've tried mixing TFA's pomegranate deluxe, dragon fruit and pineapple (even threw in a little kiwi for good measure!) and it's still not quite right. Smaug's Hoard is very refreshing, slightly tart and totally delicious. I don't know if maybe I'm using the wrong vendors in my effort to recreate this mix, but my mixes are all too heavy, and nowhere near as crisp and refreshing as the original. VapeRite offers a few of their flavorings for DIY but not Smaug's Hoard. I spoke to one of their reps about this and was told the reason they don't offer it is because there are too many ingredients in the mix. Nonetheless, it's one of my favorites. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Request #1: Twisted420's "Fruity Rebels" (Tastes sorta like the name implies, Fruity Pebbles - sooo goooood!)
Request #2: Vapeoholic "Kryptonite" (tastes like Gatorade to me)
Request #3: Vigneron Vapory: "Fiasco" (Cinnamon Toast Crunch)

Those are my all day vapes. And the reason I got into DIY eliquid

Pete: I have a very good Banana's Foster recipe, but it does not use FlavorArt concentrates. Me and my recipes have recently been brought under attack because of the higher percentages of concentrate(s) required when using other brands of concentrates. If you are not a strictly FA user, let me know and I would be happy to provide the recipe.

Erck: It doesn't matter to me if it is FlavorArt or not. I just looking for any good recipe.
Thank you for your response.

Pete: I am so glad to hear back from you. I developed this recipe about a year ago and have vaped it myself for that period of time and it has been popular at my friends shop for nearly as long. I hope you make it your own and enjoy it.
BANANA'S FOSTER I do not use nicotine (Nic = 0%) and at the time this was developed;
PG/VG 70/30
Water 2%
Banana (ripe) (TPA) 13% (TPA came from Wizard Labs)
Caramel (TPA) 7%
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream 9%
Sweet Cream (TPA) 4%
Brandy (TPA) 4%
EM (WL) 5% (EM = Ethyl Maltol)

Steep about a week for this to reach it's best flavor.
There you go Pete. Some times I will add a little Cinnamon to the mix just for kicks and grins. The recipe lends itself well to experimentation.

Pete: If you like Banana's Foster type recipes here is another I think you will also like. It too has been very popular.

BREAD PUDDING
Nic = 0% 80/20 PG/VG
Vanilla Bean Ice Cream (TPA) 9%
Vanilla Custard (HD) 9% (HD = High Desert Vapers - The line you want is Ella's)
Sweet Cream (TFA) 6%
Cinnamon (spice) (WL) 4%
Acetyl Pyrazine 5% (TFA) 3%
EM (TFA) 6%
MTS (FA) 2 Drops (MTS is an enhancer that tames the PH of the juice)
Steep about a week for best initial taste.

Enjoy
Eric

I'd do anywhere from .5 to 1% of menthol..
koolada has been known to fade..
unless you are vaping it straight away.

Hee... I love the cool flavor of Koolada Just to share some note from my local supplier below...

2%- cool..
4%- cold..
6%- ICE

Its a nice blender of my experiment recipes. I tried 3% once, the juice is cool for me when its touches my lips, so I am satisfied with only 2%
:)

Welcome to the wonderful world of DIY. Tall order. It is said, "Antidote, is the hardest flavor to duplicate". I'll give it a shot and let you know the recipe. Primarily, it is Watermelon, Apple, Spearmint, and a touch of bubblegum at the end. If I could taste and or smell it, the job would be a little easier. Bamskilicious has their own line and they have Hansen. Hansen is Chinese, the good news they are ISO9000 compliant. That means they aren't going off into left field and mixing a molecule from the sewers of Singapore, so we have a fairly stable platform to work from. I don't use Hansen's concentrates, even though they are available from ecig. I will use mostly TFA,. The larger % required are more forgiving and easier to manipulate. If you want to work on it too, I am going to start with:

Watermelon (TFA) 12%
Spearmint (MTB)** 8%
Apple (TFA) 10%
Bubble Gum (TFA)* 5%

NOTES
** I am almost out of Mt. Bakers Spearmint and have ordered TFA as a replacement. That will be different.

TFA Apple peaks @ 13%. Since note much is said about the Apple component, I'll throttle back some, but it is weak and can't compete with the Spearmint, so we need to mix it on the heavy side.

* I suspect they use the bubble gum as the sweetener and depending upon the Bubble Gum concentrate they have chosen, there will be a different flavor
.

There is a starting point, with some thinking out loud, for us to start with. We won't be the only one's. There is a great guy on here that goes by HIC, he too is a mixologist with extraordinary talent and he will probably jump in, along with others. Maybe some of them have actually tried Antidote and can shed lots of light on the subject.

Spoako: I mixed it and I vaped it just a few minutes ago. It taste good. very watermelon with a cool spearmint undertone. The apple mellows it out and, as suspected, the bubble gum lends an interesting sweetness. If you can mix it in a 60/40 PG/VG, 0 nicotine base and let me know how close it is to your original flavor.

I have a FW and TFA pineapple both VERY diff.

I've mixed regular TFA pomegranate and dragon fruit. Been told it's close. I haven't tried in a while. Will add to my todo list. And add one of the pineapples. Keep us posted?

Yeah, HIC would do it all with FA so if you use his recipe, you'll be buying more flavoring..lol But that sounds like something that would be no problem for him. If he doesn't see it, just send him a message. I'd sure he'd be willing to at least give you advice if he has any experience with that particular juice.

I have a request for a recipe that would be close to Gemini vapor's Enter The Dragon a sweet strawberry and peach candy like flavor. Would appreciate any advice or recipe for this one. Thanks in advance.

Spoako: AWESOME! I just tried the Antidote clone I mixed hoping it would be the one you are looking for and it is simply out of this cotton pickin world. WOW I hope your flavors arrive soon and you are able to try this yourself. It has steeped for about a week and I can not believe the way it has come together. It was good the next day after I made it and I didn't expect much difference after 5 or 6 days. Did I get a pleasant surprise. I was at the shop yesterday and my friend said the web guy was almost finished redoing the web site. I told him that I had 38 new flavors for him to get to the web guy, but now I think it will be 39. I can't believe how good this stuff is.

hk: Wheuuu, didn't know what to expect. This is good. I am going to take a wild (educated) guess and say jtj gets the Rainbow Sherbet concentrate from Mt. Baker Vaping and, if anything, adds Koolada to it for the cool effect. A pretty close rule of thumb for Koolada is: Cool - 1%, Cold - 2%, Freezing - 3%, and Frozen - 4%. Koolada is also available from MTB. I still have not been able to locate the recipe I used for my Rainbow flavor test. That said, I believe I mixed 70 PG/30 VG, 0 Nic with 18% MTB Rainbow Sherbet and 2 or 3% Koolada.. I would do 18% flavor and 3% enhancer for starters.

Anyone have a good Coke recipe that has the "fizz" not the syrup ending?
I too am a big fan of realistic Coke recipes but have not found a good pre-mixed one EXCEPT for Zeus Juice Cola. I bought cola flavors from 6 different vendors and they all fell way short except for Zeus Juice. I like the fizz at the end of the vape and use it to compliment my other mixes. I believe they have a vanilla Coke available. Worth a try... http://www.zeusejuice.com/ Look under mocktails for vanilla-cola-eliquid-flavor
